to Trump, Russia investigation

Fox News, by Kaitlyn Schallhorn

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 9/14/2018 1:39:09 PM

Paul Manafort was convicted of eight bank and tax fraud charges in August, becoming the first campaign associate of President Trump to be found guilty by a jury in part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s long-running probe.Manafort has been the subject of a long-running investigation over his dealings in Ukraine several years ago(Snip) Mueller has incorporated that investigation into his own probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion with Trump associates. Read on for a look at Manafort´s work with the Trump campaign and how he is connected to the Russia investigation.

Comments:
Fox is reporting that Manafort has flipped. On what? Reading this, it appears to be thin - if not nonexistent - gruel.

Manafort has nothing on Trump, because there is nothing. Trump is a reality tv star. Everybody knows everything already, right into the WH, and after. You can follow him on twitter, and find out how Trump feels. That´s all there is. On the other hand, I notice Mueller stays in the shadows, a dark man. What you hiding Mueller?

Even the author admits there is no connection with Manafort´s alleged crimes and DJT.

17th paragraph: ´The charges against Manafort and Gates don’t relate to allegations of misconduct during Trump’s campaign.´

Schallhorn should turn in her journalism license for that headline.

The Weekly Standard published a gusher last week on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Fred Barnes, the magazine’s executive editor, fell all over himself praising McConnell’s “pragmatism and political skill . . . It has been speculated that Mitt Romney’s Utah Senate seat could serve as a prelude to another Presidential run. In the most ambitious version of events, he could even challenge Donald Trump in the 2020 primaries, newly legitimized and augmented by his actions in the Capitol Building. This would allow moderate Republicans to reclaim their party’s mantle and unroot alt-right influences. But would Romney do it? His willingness to unequivocally challenge Trump could be seen either as a pro or con by Republicans, depending on their opinions of the sitting president.

To look back at the moment John Kerry entered US public life, addressing the Senate foreign relations committee on 22 April 1971, is to be struck by many things. There are the famous words, of course: “How do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?” There is the shock of dark, Beatles-inspired hair, the distinctly British-tinged accent. Above all, there is the self-possession.
