Trump Credited with Funding California’s
First New Water Storage in 40 Years

Breitbart Big Government, by Joel B. Pollak

President Donald Trump is being credited for the passage of a new provision through the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday that will provide funding to help California to build its first water storage infrastructure in 40 years. McClatchy reported on Thursday: The House approved several provisions Thursday that help fund water storage projects. The Senate is expected to concur shortly, and Trump is expected to sign the legislation into law next week. Republican Rep. Jeff Denham and Democrat Rep. Jim Costa have been pushing for additional water storage for the state for years in constantly-at-risk-of-drought California. Since 1979, California’s

Why don´t we let CA build it themselves, with the funding for that high-speed train they don´t need?

Message: Trump looks out for his own. This was obviously a gesture to reward Nunes, who has done so much for the president. Nunes represents the most affected district and he´s bringing home what the state won´t do. That is what the voters want, and they will stand by their congressman as zillions pour in from the rabid left fatcats to unseat him.

Obama and the Democrats never wanted to solve the water problem in CA. They wanted to be able to keep blaming the water shortage on a drought that is caused by man-made Climate Change. AKA Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste.

Not quite true. There have been water storage infrastructure building in San Diego. One example is San Vicente Reservoir dam was raised in 2009 almost doubling the storage.

#1 The feds won´t let us. It is their property, they own the watersheds in CA and forced us to take down many dams we used to have.
It is tough when the feds own half your state, and 80% of your water.

This process of the Feds taxing then dolling back to the states is all about politics and must stop. Illinois is 5th in sending money to Washington and 48th in what flows back. Why? Our votes are sewed up slam dunk democrat. No need to purchase my vote so my money goes to purchase votes in other states that could be in play. How is that not theft?

Where is that in the constitution?

Why the hell is he helping CA when they are so blatantly ignoring the law with their sanctuary cities? What about their insane laws about plastic straws, homelessness, fecal matter on the streets which they won´t address except to throw money at, their Big Brotherism, high taxation, and their openly socialist agenda?

CA is awash in money. They can pay for their own water storage. I´m surprised at Trump here.

According to the stats I read, a person uses 88 gals a day. Cal has about 2,000,000 illegals. Multiply that by 88 they use 176,000,000 gals a day. I haven´t figured in how much water is used for the speed train construction. Having been on construction job for many years, I know when building any thing in Cal a lot of water is used for compaction of the dirt and the same goes for the concrete structures.

It doesn’t appear that many read the article. This is not a gift.

Denham’s proposal allows local irrigation districts to apply for low-interest federal loans from the Environmental Protection Agency to build new reservoirs, below ground storage projects, recycling and desalination projects. Those are desperately needed in parts of California to capture rains and runoff from the mountains so water can be stored and used in drier seasons and in years of drought.

Here is where California (along with all the other states) ranks on depending on the fed for funds. Good idea to check it out.

This is politically brilliant and the exact opposite of the way Obama and the Democrats do things. When you vote the "wrong" way, the Democrats punish you by taking government funding away from projects which help you. Trump here is saying that since you have a problem, a problem which has been exacerbated by the Democrats, "Let me help you." Voters will remember that come election time.

In 1990 Brown´s own people produced a report that said California(pop 19 million) had enough storage for 20 million people and the then farmers to farm. The state has not built 1 more oz of storage since then and the population is at 38 million counted people and they have reduced farming leaving millions of acres fallow. Jeff and Jim have been working hard to fix this stupidity and it looks like there will be a very small amount but yet progress. Yeah

Not just that, #16. He just gave the closing speech at the "Global Climate Action Summit" in
San Francisco and announced the State of California is going to launch a satellite to measure "pollutants" (presumably carbon dioxide and water) that affect glow-bull warming.

And that 55-gallon water limit per day is enough to take a Navy shower every other day, providing you don´t drink any or flush your toilet - guess they want all of California to look (and smell) like San Francisco!

CA Demonrats caused water problems with their stupid and idiotic policies. Don´t provide water to farmers because a tiny bait fish is more precious than eating. Don´t fix dams or provide for water storage because illegals are more important to spend taxpayer money on. Demonrats are also the cause the state´s massive wild fires. This first video focuses on a State Department employee who is both a poster child for the Deep State and a perfect example of why the federal bureaucracy needs serious reform. Providentially, there is new legislation being considered in Congress that would do just that: the Merit Act (H.R. 559). The Merit Act would greatly streamline the process for firing employees who are poor performers, insubordinate, or otherwise engaged in misconduct. By that measure, the Democratic campaign to block Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, based on a hazy, uncorroborated,
