Is it ´we the people´ or ´they´?
American Thinker, by Don Sucher

Original Article

The blogosphere and non-mainstream media is awash with concerns about how previous administration people such as former president Barack Obama and secretary of state John Kerry are not only publicly commenting about the current administration, but getting involved with hidden activities purposed to undo it and its programs and agenda. None of this is "normal." The long tradition here in America is for such to retire quietly after a new administration is in office and pretty much mind their own business as the new administration works through its agenda.

Comments:
It truly has become "Them" vs. "Us." "Them" being the Washington DC political/media machine. "Us" being we the people.

We must take note. See this for what it is. Be VERY vocal in sounding the alarm. And maybe most important of all... WE MUST VOTE in November to keep the left out and give President Trump the backing he needs to continue to press his/our agenda forward.

I am getting to wonder if our country is governable, so many new norms that seem to be unraveling our democracy, so much hatred from those not in power and so little gratitude for the change in our economy.

OP, the ´thems´ are leftards (commies/fascists/socialists/nazis), the usual dangerous and deranged who are only safe to be around when they are planted 6-ft under. They infest the media, most institutions and the DC area, as well as a number of state legislators.

I am a regular Facebook user. Not a typical one, I expect. You´ll see only an occasional family picture post from me, and absolutely no photos of kittens. No, nor those little "Hallmark Card" (as I call them) posts, either – the touchy-feely "feel good" ones with Snoopy, rainbows, hearts, unicorns, and flowers along with a bit of "ain´t life sweet" poetry. No, I post different types of things. Themed postings under titles such as "My Morning Read" – often a thoughtful post, not a few of which are links to articles here on American Thinker. Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed this weekend that she has no idea what the three branches of the U.S. government are during a conference call with prospective far-left political candidates. "If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House," Ocasio-Cortez said on Saturday while on a call with Justice Democrats. The three branches, not chambers, of the U.S. government, are the executive, legislative, and judicial. WATCH: Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: "If we work our butts off to

It has been speculated that Mitt Romney’s Utah Senate seat could serve as a prelude to another Presidential run. In the most ambitious version of events, he could even challenge Donald Trump in the 2020 primaries, newly legitimized and augmented by his actions in the Capitol Building. This would allow moderate Republicans to reclaim their party’s mantle and unroot alt-right influences. But would Romney do it? His willingness to unequivocally challenge Trump could be seen either as a pro or con by Republicans, depending on their opinions of the sitting president.

Just hours after finishing a tumultuous election recount on Sunday, Broward Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes submitted her resignation. “It is true. She did send it,” said Burnadette Norris-Weeks, an attorney who works as counsel to the Supervisor of Elections Office. Evelyn Perez-Verdia, a former office spokeswoman who left several years ago, said Sunday evening she was told by people in the office that the letter was sent “to Tallahassee” earlier in the day. Norris-Weeks said she saw an early draft of the letter. In the version she saw, she said Snipes, 75, expressed a desire to spend more time with her family.

Former first lady Michelle Obama’s memoir, Becoming, sold 725,000 copies on its first day on the market, making it the biggest opening for a book in 2018 under publishing company Penguin Random House. The figures include preorder and first-day sales of hardcover, audio, and ebook editions of the memoir sold in the U.S. and Canada, the Associated Press reported. The first-day sales for Becoming surpassed former first lady Hillary Clinton’s presidential memoir, Living History, which only sold 600,000 copies in its first week.

To look back at the moment John Kerry entered US public life, addressing the Senate foreign relations committee on 22 April 1971, is to be struck by many things. There are the famous words, of course: “How do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?” There is the shock of dark, Beatles-inspired hair, the distinctly British-tinged accent. Above all, there is the self-possession. Even though, as he describes it in his new book, Every Day Is Extra,

Championing the cause of the poor, Pope Francis on Sunday lamented that "the wealthy few" enjoy what, "in justice, belongs to all" and said Christians cannot remain indifferent to the growing cries of the exploited and the indigent, including migrants. Francis invited about 6,000 poor people as well as some of the volunteers who help them to the splendor of St. Peter´s Basilica where he celebrated Mass on a day the Catholic Church dedicates to the needy. Later, he sat down with 1,500 of the indigent for a lunch of lasagna, chicken, mashed potatoes and tiramisu in a Vatican auditorium.

Broward County’s ballot recount hit yet another snag Saturday with 2,040 ballots lost or misplaced. The county’s eternally beleaguered Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes said they were either misplaced, misfiled or mixed in with another stack. One thing she said she was sure of was that the ballots were still in the building. “The ballots are in this building. There would be nowhere else for them to be,” Snipes said. “The ballots are in the building. The ballots are in the building.” Snipes has been in the crosshairs of national controversy since Election Day. With a noon Sunday deadline looming,

For someone who has thrust herself on the national stage, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez sure has thin skin. The proud democratic socialist and newly elected congresswoman from New York has a knack for making confusing statements, or “word slips,” as she calls them, and is real quick to play the victim if anyone calls attention to them. Her latest flub occurred on Saturday when Ocasio-Cortez called for taking back “all three chambers of Congress,” before quickly correcting herself to say “all three chambers of government,” naming the presidency along with the House and Senate. “If we work our butts off to make

An outrageous discussion unfolded on CNN recently focused on how most white women who voted for President Donald Trump must be “racist.”Only one of the all-female panel hosted by CNN’s Don Lemon pushed back in the discussion on why the president resonates with most white women, delivering a blistering take-down of the argument that white women who have a “deep investment in white supremacy” voted for Trump. Lemon began by asking liberal contributor Kirsten Powers “why white women support Donald Trump in spite of or perhaps because of his policies and his tone,” during Friday’s “CNN Tonight.” “People will say
