Is it ´we the people´ or ´they´?
American Thinker, by Don Sucher

Original Article

The blogosphere and non-mainstream media is awash with concerns about how previous administration people such as former president Barack Obama and secretary of state John Kerry are not only publicly commenting about the current administration, but getting involved with hidden activities purposed to undo it and its programs and agenda. None of this is "normal." The long tradition here in America is for such to retire quietly after a new administration is in office and pretty much mind their own business as the new administration works through its agenda.

Comments:
It truly has become "Them" vs. "Us." "Them" being the Washington DC political/media machine. "Us" being we the people.

We must take note. See this for what it is. Be VERY vocal in sounding the alarm. And maybe most important of all... WE MUST VOTE in November to keep the left out and give President Trump the backing he needs to continue to press his/our agenda forward.

I am getting to wonder if our country is governable, so many new norms that seem to be unraveling our democracy, so much hatred from those not in power and so little gratitude for the change in our economy.

OP, the ´thems´ are leftards (commies/fascists/socialists/nazis), the usual dangerous and deranged who are only safe to be around when they are planted 6-ft under. They infest the media, most institutions and the DC area, as well as a number of state legislators.

It is, at least to some (especially those who rely on the mass media for the information), rather surprising that President Trump´s poll numbers are going up, and that the public at large is increasingly of the opinion that the attacks on the president --- especially those of the so-called "Mueller investigation" -- are a totally concocted and artificial scam. Thinking more about this one realizes an essential truth – (snip) "war" on boys and men is part and parcel to what those who hate America are doing to, yes, "unman" it.

The Weekly Standard will be no more. There is no real reason we are witnessing the magazine’s demise other than deep pettiness and a personal desire for bureaucratic revenge on the part of a penny-ante Machiavellian who works for its parent company. There would at least be a larger meaning to the Standard’s end if it were being killed because it was hostile to Donald Trump. But I do not believe that is the case.

Continuing as the ´Land of the Free´

When we Americans speak of our nation as "the land of the free" it offends some, some abroad and of late even some here. When we speak of our government being ´of, by and for´ the people -- and then act to ensure that it remains such -- we are derided for that. But the truth of the uniqueness of our nation and its more traditionally ´American-minded´ people is real.

I am a regular Facebook user. Not a typical one, I expect. You´ll see only an occasional family picture post from me, and absolutely no photos of kittens. No, nor those little "Hallmark Card" (as I call them) posts, either – the touchy-feely "feel good" ones with Snoopy, rainbows, hearts, unicorns, and flowers along with a bit of "ain´t life sweet" poetry. No, I post different types of things. Themed postings under titles such as "My Morning Read" – often a thoughtful post, not a few of which are links to articles here on American Thinker. President Trump on Thursday abruptly denied military aircraft to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for a foreign trip just minutes before the congressional delegation was set to depart, in a stunning response to her call to delay the State of the Union address amid the government shutdown. In a curt letter, Trump said her trip has been “postponed.” “Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed. We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over. In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay,

In September The Santa Monica Observor reported that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had developed cancer. Snopes labeled the report as fake news. Snopes was wrong. The Santa Monica Observer was the only paper to report of lung cancer at the time. Now The Santa Monica Observer says Ruth Bader Ginsburg has pneumonia and is fighting for her life. And… That Ginsburg will retire in January. The Santa Monica Observer reported: As any reader of the Santa Monica Observer knew last September, Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed lung cancer. PASCAGOULA, Miss.— A Mississippi man in declining health is telling a story he’s kept secret from his own family for 45 years: he claims he was abducted by aliens. Calvin Parker says he and his buddy Charles Hickson were fishing in 1973 on the banks of the Pascagoula River, just north of where Ingalls Shipyard now sits, when a “real bright beam appeared all over us and it kind of blinded me for a second and when I got my vision back, I seen three bulky looking creatures coming toward us.” Parker said the creatures were “probably 4, 4 1/2, 5 foot tall…built like football players. But I noticed they kind of moved mechanical wise

In the past two months, Ruth Bader Ginsburg has fractured three ribs and had two cancerous nodules removed from her left lung. She was absent from oral argument last week and will miss this week’s arguments as well. Doctors say they expect her to be back on the bench in February, and until then she will review transcripts from her home and participate in the court’s decision-making remotely. But her return to work has not quieted critics who say that Ginsburg should have retired long ago and that her health issues are the latest evidence that justices should not be

WASHINGTON—House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Wednesday night she “doesn’t care” if the Secret Service said it was prepared to appropriately secure the State of the Union address despite the partial government shutdown. Instead, she stood firm in her resolve to delay the January 29 event until the government completely re-opens. (Photo) In a letter to President Trump, Pelosi claimed the lack of funds to Homeland Security posed a risk to the White House and the Congress during the event, but the Department of Homeland Security Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen released a statement refuting that. She shared that statement in a

Gillette is doubling down on a controversial new campaign that appears aimed at taking on so-called toxic masculinity — but has created a social media firestorm. The two-minute video from Boston-based razor brand Gillette urges men to act against sexual harassment, misogyny and bullying, asking: “Is this the best a man can get?” While fans are applauding the move, critics say it assumes men need to be steered away from negative tendencies. The ad starts off with audio of news about the #MeToo movement, saying, “We can’t hide from it. It has been going on far too long. We

An ESPN host suggested Wednesday it was racist for President Donald Trump to serve fast food to the Clemson football team at the White House, saying such food being given to players of a "predominately black sport" gave her pause. (Snip)While the players appeared to enjoy the food, some political and sports observers took Trump to task for what they considered a low-class gesture. On the daily ESPN debate show "First Take," panelists Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman discussed the matter, with Smith saying it was a "classless" and "disgraceful" move by Trump.

Domnio’s Pizza has been legally required to makes its app and website fully accessible to the visually impaired following a years-long legal battle with a blind customer who was left unable to order a pie with personalized toppings through his iPhone. Guillermo Robles in a lawsuit filed back in September 2016 first accused the popular pizza chain of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act “for its failure to design, construct, maintain, and operate its website to be fully accessible and independently usable” for those who are blind. The Americans with Disabilities Act, made law in 1990, says it is unlawful

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews joined the chorus of pundits losing their minds over President Donald Trump cancelling Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Afghanistan — but admitted that the president made the Democrats “look like fools.” President Trump had hilariously cancelled the trip as the Democrats were in a bus on their way to the flight. He made them look like fools sitting in the capitol at the driveway basically trying to figure out what’s coming next. He caught them in
