President Trump’s ex-campaign chair Paul Manafort tentatively agreed to a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller that will head off his upcoming second trial, ABC News reported Thursday. The feds were expected to announce the agreement in court Friday, but it remained uncertain whether the international man of intrigue had agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the Russia probe. The network said Manafort could be pleading guilty to avoid the stress and expens

Exceedingly odd - why not make such an agreement before the first trial?

In other words, the Post’s writer hasn’t a clue. A highly speculative article that tells us nothing.

Fredericks’s bias is also showing. Tsk,tsk.

Life behind bars or deal: legitimate or not.
I could be convinced to take the deal.

Then maybe write a book.

Plea deals are for the innocent and the guilty. Explained to me one time by a defense attorney.

President Trump should pardon, or at least commute the sentences, of everyone convicted of something because of their association with himself.

Manafort is a good example. The FBI declined to prosecute him, for his alleged crimes, years ago. Now, since he is associated with the President, they decide to prosecute, in the hopes they can get something on the President. This is not fair, just, or ethical!

Venezuelans suffering through the worst crisis in the nation’s history have responded with outrage to actor Jim Carrey’s call to the world to “say yes to socialism.” In a column published Wednesday, columnist Laureano Márquez argued that Carrey misunderstands the “repression” conducted in the name of socialism in places like the Latin American country. Márquez, writing for the Venezuelan outlet Runrunes, gives Carrey the benefit of the doubt as an actor with no known education in political science. “Sometimes it seems that Hollywood stars’ inability to understand politics is directly proportional

This is far from the only case of political violence we’ve seen in recent years. The most famous was, of course, the congressional baseball shooting by a crazed Bernie Sanders supporter. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) was nearly murdered during the carnage. Now Scalise says: “You’ve got some people on the left that just want this idea of resist … You’ve gotten to where there are death threats and literal attacks on lives … and frankly, what I want to see is the left stand up against this.” Meanwhile, the right has seen its own violent crazies.

Andrew Cuomo Is America’s Problem Now

In one of the most predictable outcomes yet this election cycle, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo won his Thursday primary against actress and leftist Democrat Cynthia Nixon. It took all of half an hour after the polls closed for the AP to call the race, in a result that centrist Democrats and liberals who prioritize experience will find a relief. But it is also a loss for America as a whole, because with Cuomo’s nomination comes his virtually certain re-election, which in turn gives him a platform to run for president in 2020

Before moving back to the district to run for office, Wallace spent time in Maryland and South Africa running the Wallace Global Fund, his family´s foundation, which has given millions to radical left-wing groups.

A lengthy exchange dated Dec. 15, 2016 appears to reveal a potential leak operation for “political” purposes. “Oh, remind me to tell you tomorrow about the times doing a story about the rnc hacks,” Page texted Strzok. “And more than they already did? Former mayor Ed Koch took to his grave the belief that Andrew Cuomo was behind the scurrilous posters that appeared in Queens during the 1977 mayoral race between Koch and Mario Cuomo. “Vote for Cuomo, not the homo,” the posters said in a gay-baiting bid just days before voters went to the polls. Watching the slow, public evisceration of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by Senate Democrats —on the strength of one unsubstantiated charge of alleged sexual aggression 36 years ago when Kavanaugh was in high school — a question comes to mind: Have you no sense of decency, Sen. Feinstein? Decency was once an important feature of the Democratic Party’s story. Long before Bork became a verb, long before Clarence Thomas was dragged through the mud because a conservative black man proved a profound threat to Democrats, the party held fast to the notion of decency.
