Trump Should Worry About "Human
Sources" inside the U.S. Government

Frontpage, by Michael Ledeen

As we dig in to Bob Woodward’s latest, let’s start by looking at intelligence. One of the most fascinating elements in Woodward’s accounts is what the Intelligence Community told Trump after the election, and how the president-elect reacted. One of Woodward’s claims is that Trump was very skeptical about human sources, and that claim has been confirmed by the then-head of the intel apparatus, James Clapper: According to Clapper—a man with a famously inaccurate memory, it must be said—President-elect Trump didn’t put much stock in human sources. Trump said, "l don´t believe in human sources.

It appears that Obozo infested his thugs into the government as ´Civil Servants´.

Hey, President Trump, all you have to do is cut the positions of ALL those appointed by Obozo who are still in govt. jobs.

Problem Solved!

Justice Department Memo Says

The Department of Justice issued an advisory opinion confirming the legality of Matthew Whitaker’s appointment as acting attorney general Wednesday, as legal authorities across the ideological spectrum suggested the move violated a federal statute and the Constitution. The memo, prepared by the Office of Legal Counsel, reveals that the Justice Department previously counseled President Donald Trump on the matter and defends the president’s right to designate temporary office holders under the 1998 Vacancies Reform Act and as a matter of history.

For a number of years I have been fighting a lonely one-man (or should I say one-person?) battle against self-esteem—not my own, of course, because I have just the right amount, but as the master key to human happiness. Of the many possible human qualities, self-esteem, far from being desirable, is one of the most odious. It is much more closely related to conceit and self-importance than it is to self-respect or even self-confidence. People who talk of self-esteem do so as if it were an inalienable human right rather than something to be earned.

God and Guns in the Synagogue

There are two types of synagogues: those that believe in G-d and those that believe in government. After the mass shooting in a Pittsburgh synagogue, the government synagogues turned to the government with calls for gun control. And those that believe in G-d, turned to the Almighty. And then, trusting in the Almighty to stand with them against danger, they went out and got their guns. Morning services at the synagogue these days begin and end with guns, with talk of tactical courses, firing ranges and concealed carry permits. “If someone comes to kill you, get up early to kill him first,” the Gemara, the Babylonian

If logical argument is the Right’s “Maginot Line,” a defense against attacks from other directions entirely; if winning rational argument doesn’t actually help much in our Society of Feelz, then how do we counterattack the Left in ways that matter? (Snip) We’re not doing open social sabotage, but surreptitious social repairs. Here are some suggestions for effectively winning hearts instead of arguments. Take someone to a gun range. In February 2017, during the second month of his presidency, I argued Donald Trump was best understood through the lens of a turnaround executive. Through that lens are three focal points: Blowing up political correctness, because an American turnaround cannot happen if we are unable recover the meaning of words and talk forthrightly about what is really going on. Delegitimizing the false narratives of the mainstream media, because a turnaround cannot be sustained if basic communication channels remain corrupted. Taking down the administrative state,

When the dust settles on the Honduran migrant caravan and the analyses are out, one of the things that will take the biggest beating is the soggy sob-story manipulative press coverage for what is clearly a complex issue. Yes, dishonest press coverage should take the cake. Why report facts objectively when it´s so much easier to tug on the heartstrings and portray the migrants as just moms with toddlers, all fleeing violence and just looking for a better life?

The polls are swinging wildly and voter enthusiasm seems higher than usual for midterms in recent memory or maybe ever. Vice President Mike Pence predicts the Republicans will hold both houses and I tend to agree with him. In fact, I have a months-old dinner bet riding on his prediction coming to pass. It’s not only that, freed of some of the more restrictive regulations and with tax cuts, the economy is booming and unemployment low, it’s a psychological thing. People are more optimistic and bullish than they were when Obama was president.

I have just returned from a week-long fact-finding mission to Mosul and Christian towns in Northern Iraq, to assess the status of U.S.-led reconstruction efforts after the battle to defeat ISIS. During that time, I met with hundreds of local residents who returned to find their homes burned and looted by ISIS, or bombed into rubble by coalition airstrikes. I met with scores of church leaders and aide groups who are coordinating reconstruction efforts, and with Iraqi and U.S. government officials. Nineveh was proselytized by St. Thomas in the first century AD.

Remember that time American media was consumed with news that the deadly poison ricin – contact with the skin can be deadly – was sent to President Trump, Republican Senator Ted Cruz, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral John Richardson? Remember all of the introspective opinion pieces wondering if attacks on the president had gone too far? Or if claiming that Republican policies kill people, might not be an incitement to violence? Me either. But who can remember all the way back to October 2?

Thank you, Mr. President, for moving to make male and female great again. (Snip) When individuals try to live out life in an ideology that has no basis in biological fact, the consequences are stark. I know, because I lived the trans life for eight years. I have received hundreds of regret letters from trans people who now realize—too late—that gender-pretending is damaging. Regretters have called gender change “the biggest mistake of my life.” The late transgender movie actress Alexis Arquette called her gender transition “bulls***” because no one can really change their gender.

U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Kelly, an appointee of President Donald Trump, announced his decision following a hearing in Washington. The judge said Acosta’s credentials would be returned immediately and reactivated to allow him access to the White House. CNN had asked the judge to force the White House to immediately hand back the credentials that give Acosta, CNN’s chief White House correspondent, access to the White House complex for press
