Jeff Fager, ‘60 Minutes’ Producer, Is Ousted
at CBS After Sexual Harassment Allegations

New York Times, by John Koplin

Original Article

Posted By:FlyRight, 9/12/2018 4:02:27 PM

CBS announced on Wednesday that Jeff Fager, the longtime “60 Minutes” executive producer, was leaving for violating company policy, just days after Leslie Moonves stepped down as the company’s chief executive following numerous allegations of sexual misconduct. In recent articles in The New Yorker and The Washington Post, Mr. Fager had been accused of touching women at company parties in ways that made them feel uncomfortable and fostering a culture of harassment at “60 Minutes.”

Never expect a politically liberal employer to display compassion or leniency for one-time, borderline mistakes. They´ll cut your head off without a second thought.

Since Fager is a lib and has witnessed all this first hand, I´m surprised that he is surprised.

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, he is probably a slime ball, but some of these women waited years and all jumped on the bandwagon together.

Where is Stormy´s proof ? Anybody can have a photo taken at a function with a celebrity. Does that give them the right to make accusations years later to bring them down?

In the winter of 2017, the American Embassy in Havana was in a precarious state. The Embassy, a six-story tower that sits next to the seawall known as the Malecón, was built in 1953, and during the five decades in which diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States were suspended it had suffered from neglect. Salt and humidity from the ocean ate away at the pins holding up the marble façade. Work crews erected a fence around the most

THE MOST important question in the case of Jamal Khashoggi is whether Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, will be held accountable for what his regime acknowledges was a premeditated act of murder. Much of the available evidence points to the prince. We cannot find a Middle East expert who believes the official story that the 15-member assassination team sent to Istanbul, including five probable members of the prince’s security detail, was a rogue operation.

It’s tempting to call Senator Susan Collins’ announcement of her intention to vote for Judge Kavanaugh a profile in courage — and it surely is that. Yet what strikes us about Senator Collins’ magnificent moment is that it is about more than courage — it is a profile in substance. The Maine Republican is practically the only person in the Senate to approach this decision by reasoning out the
