Attempted murder of GOP candidate

The extreme hatred for President Trump and Republicans being unceasingly spewed from the Left is having its inevitable result, with an attempted murder of a candidate for Congress that was averted only by the faulty equipment employed by the assassin. The national media have not yet even noted the murder attempt, according to a Google search of the intended victim’s name at 8:37 AM EDT, three days after the incident. In fact, it has taken 2 days for even the local major media to report, as CBS San Francisco did: A man was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and

I think you can lay responsibility for emboldening this wacko at the feet of Maxine Waters, from his own state. Let´s see what she has to say about this!

For $250ish, he should get a ´covert´ stab resistant and bullet resistant vest, easily concealed under a shirt.

These lighter, thinner vests will not stop .44 magnum, and up, extremely powerful handguns or any rifles, but will stop all the most common handgun cartridges, .38, .380, 9mm, .45, etc. and blades.

Scary times.

The left is very violent. If they can´t or won´t be armed, these politicians (or anyone at risk) should at least have a vest.

And many bullet resistant vests are NOT stab resistant. Need to get one specially designed to do both. It seems that a vest that would stop a bullet has to stop a knife, but the threats are different, require different designs.

Do you think this story would have been ignored by the MSM if the candidate was carrying a concealed firearm and put a bullet right between his assailants eyebrows?

Whenever people gather to discuss problems in education, we hear the same list of issues and solutions. We hear about poverty and the need for bigger budgets at all levels, more self-esteem, professional teacher corps, charter schools, vouchers, tutoring and remediation, new literacies, better assessment, year-round schools, pre-K, schools that are more permissive or more strict, the effects of drugs, the impact of violent sports, and the perpetual need for more and more money. Following a protracted recount battle, three-term incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson conceded Sunday, acknowledging GOPGov. Rick Scott has been elected to replace him in January. “Well, things worked out a little differently than Grace and I had hoped,” Mr. Nelson’s statement read. “But let me say, I by no measure feel defeated. And that’s because I have had the privilege of serving the people of Florida and our country for most of my life.” As he left the political stage, Mr. Nelson, 76, also took a parting shot at President Trump. “We have to move beyond a politics that aims

The Ohio Democrat voted for her again in the next seven elections, helping elevate her to the role and making her the first-ever woman to reach the House’s highest post in 2007, and sticking with her even after Democrats lost the chamber in 2011. In his 16 years in Congress, Mr. Ryan has never known a Democratic leader other than Mrs. Pelosi. He says it’s long enough. Despite overseeing Democrats’ surge back to the majority,

The latest theatrics involving Jim Acosta, the left-wing political activist posing as a CNN reporter, perfectly illustrate the reasons why ordinary Americans despise the Beltway swamp: anti-Trump propaganda masquerading as journalism, rude and arrogant “reporters” engaged in 24/7 “resistance,” a federal judiciary so thoroughly dominated by liberal opinion that even Republican-appointed judges parrot the views of their ideological captors, and vain lawyers so eager for praise by the Acela Corridor establishment that they are willing to betray principle and common sense to receive accolades from fashionable elites.

It has been speculated that Mitt Romney’s Utah Senate seat could serve as a prelude to another Presidential run. In the most ambitious version of events, he could even challenge Donald Trump in the 2020 primaries, newly legitimized and augmented by his actions in the Capitol Building. This would allow moderate Republicans to reclaim their party’s mantle and unroot alt-right influences. But would Romney do it? His willingness to unequivocally challenge Trump could be seen either as a pro or con by Republicans, depending on their opinions of the sitting president.

To look back at the moment John Kerry entered US public life, addressing the Senate foreign relations committee on 22 April 1971, is to be struck by many things. There are the famous words, of course: “How do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?” There is the shock of dark, Beatles-inspired hair, the distinctly British-tinged accent. Above all, there is the self-possession. Championing the cause of the poor, Pope Francis on Sunday lamented that "the wealthy few" enjoy what, "in justice, belongs to all" and said Christians cannot remain indifferent to the growing cries of the exploited and the indigent, including migrants. Francis invited about 6,000 poor people as well as some of the volunteers who help them to the splendor of St. Peter´s Basilica where he celebrated Mass on a day the Catholic Church dedicates to the needy. Later, he sat down with 1,500 of the indigent for a lunch of lasagna, chicken, mashed potatoes and tiramisu in a Vatican auditorium.
