High stakes as 2-month sprint
to Election Day begins

Associated Press, by Julie Pace

WASHINGTON — Control of Congress and the future of Donald Trump’s presidency are on the line as the primary season closes this week, jump-starting a two-month sprint to Election Day that will test Democrats’ ability to harness opposition to Trump and determine whether the Republican president can get his supporters to the polls. For both parties, the stakes are exceedingly high. After crushing defeats in 2016, Democrats open the fall campaign brimming with confidence about their prospects for retaking the House, which would give them power to open a wide swath of investigations into Trump or even launch impeachment

Since the 2016 election they lost, Democrats have done nothing, achieved nothing constructive. In fact have opposed tooth and nail everything that has given us this roaring economy. What is this optimism based on? Remember 21 out of 23 polls favored Hillary. RCP averages are garbage. Keep your fingers crossed.

Of just as much concern are the RINOs who have helped the democrats hold back some of Trump´s progress. One is dead but there are others out there. We need SOLID majorities.

If the democrats are able to re-capture, by hook or crook, the Legislative Branch, it would be most helpful if the Democrats are made to understand that if they impeach the president based on their coup machinations, they will never be able to govern this country in the aftermath. It would be even better if that were a 100% true statement of the will and resolve of the normal American majority who elected Trump against all odds. Hopefully, we won´t have to find out the answer

Barron Trump joined his father, President Donald Trump and mother Melania Trump on their way to Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida on Friday. Barron is the president’s youngest son and is now middle-school-aged— he is enrolled at St. Andrew’s in Potomac, Maryland. Barron stepped out in a suit jacket and overcoat, waving and smiling beside his parents on the way to their holiday retreat. “The Clinton Affair,” A&E’s six-part mini-series on the scandals of Bill Clinton’s presidency, lacks a point of view. It is straightforward in style and evenhanded in tone. Strangely, this recommends it. The events it covers have been so sensationalized and so politicized for so long that seeing them presented neutrally and in roughly chronological order is revelatory, particularly regarding the stories of three women: Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick. These are the women who, in the 1990s, publicly accused the president of the United States of sexual harassment and assault. It’s been a year for reconsidering Bill Clinton’s

First Lady Melania Trump is ready for the Thanksgiving holiday as she stepped out of the White House on Tuesday in a daring geometric coat by Christian Dior. For the annual pardoning of the turkey at the White House ahead of Thanksgiving, Mrs. Turmp opted for a striking red, white, black, and camel Dior coat from the brand’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection. The coat stood out amongst the crowd of mostly men’s suits with its vivid colors and geometric, abstract pattern. Like the evening before, Melania Trump let the coat do all the talking and kept the rest of the ensemble to

In the end, the Associated Press called the race for the Democrat on Nov. 20. Polls had showed McAdams with a slight edge over Love, with Sabato´s Crystal Ball shifting her race from a “toss-up” to “leans

President Trump vowed to retaliate Tuesday against liberal judges on the West Coast who he said appear to have it in for him, commenting hours after an Obama-appointed judge delivered yet another legal spanking to the administration on immigration policy. “I’m going to put in a major complaint, because you cannot win if you’re us,” Mr. Trump said at the White House, facing reporters just before jetting off for a Thanksgiving holiday in Florida. A federal judge struck down a law in Mississippi banning abortion after 15 weeks. U.S. District Judge Carlton Wayne Reeves ruled that the Mississippi law "unequivocally" violated the 14th Amendment, the portion of the Constitution that was used to justify Roe v. Wade in the Supreme Court. Roe legalized abortion across the country for up until fetal viability, which is generally understood to be up to 24 weeks into a pregnancy. "Mississippi’s law violates Supreme Court precedent, and in doing so it disregards the Fourteenth Amendment guarantee of autonomy for women desiring to control their own reproductive health," Reeves, an

Scientists say they have uncovered how and why wombats produce cube-shaped poo - the only known species to do so. The Australian marsupial can pass up to 100 deposits of poop a night and they use the piles to mark territory. The shape helps it stop rolling away. Despite having round anuses like other mammals, wombats do not produce round pellets, tubular coils or messy piles. Researchers revealed on Sunday the varied elasticity of the intestines help to sculpt the poop into cubes.
