Chicago Police are preparing for another anti-violence protest, this time scheduled for Labor Day. Demonstrators said they plan to take over parts of the Kennedy Expressway and disrupt traffic to and from O´Hare International Airport Monday. These demonstrators, led by Reverend Gregory Livingston, are part of the same group that shut down Lake Shore Drive on August 2.(Snip) Illinois State Police tell us they have a plan in place and are coordinating with Chicago and Park Ridge police. ISP said their goal is to make no arrests.

One way to make no arrests is to simply let the motorists run down the protestors.

Nowhere in the article did I see what the "protesters" are doing proactively to solve the very real problems of Chicago.

Protests such as these are disruptive and merely add to Chicago´s problems.

Blocking traffic is not beneficial but at least they´re protesting issues that matter, unlike Antifa.

So long as the rain keeps up, this will be a non-event. They may be willing to get arrested, because that no longer causes discomfort. Being cold, wet, and miserable would be a different story, and would far outweigh however much cash the rent-a-riot has been paid.

Here´s how to solve that problem.

Never fly to/from/through Chicago. O´Hare or Midway.

My life-long goal is to never set foot on Illinois soil as long as I remain alive. Including transfers through O´Hare or Midway. And since I fly to Wisconsin a bit, it does take some work (Minneapolis, Atlanta, Detroit work well).

Why is Mayor Rahm Emanuel getting a pass on the Chicago Public Schools rape and sexual abuse scandal? In this era of #MeToo and grand jury investigations of the Catholic Church, Emanuel should have been driven out of Chicago with pitchforks. Instead, the Democrat Party and the media have been giving him high-fives as he takes a victory lap on his mayoralty. Back in June, a Chicago Tribune investigation uncovered 523 credible cases of rape and sexual abuse of minors at CPS over the last 10 years.
