Chicago Police are preparing for another anti-violence protest, this time scheduled for Labor Day. These demonstrators, led by Reverend Gregory Livingston, are part of the same group that shut down Lake Shore Drive on August 2.(Snip) Illinois State Police tell us they have a plan in place and are coordinating with Chicago and Park Ridge police. One way to make no arrests is to simply let the motorists run down the protestors.

Nowhere in the article did I see what the "protesters" are doing proactively to solve the very real problems of Chicago.

Protests such as these are disruptive and merely add to Chicago´s problems.

I would think that Chicago has a few dozen snowplows that might be helpful in clearing the roadways.

At least they´re protesting Rahm, gun violence and the need for jobs!

Blocking traffic is not beneficial but at least they´re protesting issues that matter, unlike Antifa.

In Atlanta recently, at one of these "Stop The Violence" rallies a gunfight broke out. Best to stay away from crowds in a lot of cities.

Get out of your car carrying your ´Club´ locking device.
Walk over to the right or left of where your car is, and crack open a protesters skull.
Once they all run over to take videos of his bleeding head, drive through the gap.
The people behind you will cheer!

So long as the rain keeps up, this will be a non-event. They may be willing to get arrested, because that no longer causes discomfort. Being cold, wet, and miserable would be a different story, and would far outweigh however much cash the rent-a-riot has been paid.

Here´s how to solve that problem.

Never fly to/from/through Chicago. O´Hare or Midway.

My life-long goal is to never set foot on Illinois soil as long as I remain alive. Including transfers through O´Hare or Midway. And since I fly to Wisconsin a bit, it does take some work (Minneapolis, Atlanta, Detroit work well).

Students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison are demanding more “inclusive” ice cream at the university-owned Babcock Hall Dairy Store, arguing that current ingredients in some of the store’s products are discriminatory toward certain religions. Eight members of the Associated Students of Madison put forth a resolution last week declaring that Babcock ice cream, which uses beef gelatin, discriminates against the school’s Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and vegetarian communities. The resolution, titled “Ice Cream for All,” would formally demand that the university administration “acknowledge the marginalization of having the official campus Ice Cream not be inclusive to religious students on campus.”

This is beyond odd, but here goes. I rise to defend Hillary Clinton. She is under attack and this time, the long knives are wielded by members of her own clan. Suddenly, after two years of indulging Clinton’s blame games and pity parties, lefty pundits say she’s talking too much, she’s stuck in the past, she had her chance and she blew it. Vanity Fair, declaring that she “still hasn’t learned the lessons of #MeToo,” is furious that Clinton said her husband’s Oval Office dalliance with Monica Lewinsky was not an abuse of power

The end of Robert Mueller’s investigation. The loss of health insurance for several million people. New laws that make it harder to vote. More tax cuts for the rich. More damage to the environment. A Republican Party molded even more in the image of President Trump. These are among the plausible consequences if the Republicans sweep the midterm elections and keep control of both the House and Senate. And don’t fool yourself. That outcome, although not the most likely one, remains possible. The last couple of weeks of polling have shown how it could happen.
