´I never tried to hide the admiration I had
for John McCain´: Obama earns rapturous
applause for his emotional tribute to
maverick Senator

Daily Mail (UK), by Hannah Moore

Barack Obama said being asked to speak at John McCain´s funeral was a ´precious and singular honor´, but joked he had worked out why he and Bush - his political opponents - had been asked. ´What a better way to get a last laugh than to get George and I to say nice things about him to a national audience,´ he said, lightening an otherwise emotional tribute. Obama and McCain were both in the race to become President in 2008, and though the democratic candidate won, the pair made headlines for how quickly they sat down after the election to

Essentially every personal asset that Obama attributed to McCain is exactly the opposite of what Obama exhibited when he was in the Senate and the White House. As an example Obama praised McCain for being so bipartisan, but Obama himself was very partisan and never compromised with the wimpy Republicans. Remember what Obama said about that, “I won”.

I am waving the "Bravo Sierra" flag on that obama falsehood. I saw the true attitude toward mccain when obama informed the sen from Arizona that he (obama) won, and the senator´s opinions were not needed.
How any right minded and productive American could watch such a fake and contrived event is beyond me.

Poor grammar in the first sentence. It should be "George and me". Yes, he and McCain were on the same team; the Socialist Democrat team not the Conservative Republican team. That was pretty obvious. No he WAS a petty man who held grudges. He proved that over and over again by the way he talked about Pres. Trump and the way he treated him. Obama just likes the accolades of being on stage again.

On Sep. 7, Barack Obama waded into the midterm elections fray with a speech at the University of Illinois, proclaiming that the good economy we´re currently enjoying actually started under him. According to Obama, Trump inherited it all. Be that as it may, what did Obama inherit? Some will make Obama´s economic inheritance out to have been the worst situation ever. But actually, the crisis that we faced in Sep.-Oct. of 2008 had already been dealt with by the Bush administration. Recall that the financial markets were seizing up; we were looking into the abyss, the collapse of capitalism. Treasury

Is this a case of mistaken identity? Accuser Christine Blasey Ford is waging a war on Trump’s SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh with decades-old, unsubstantiated claims of sexual assault in an effort to derail his confirmation to the Supreme Court. Judge Kavanaugh has categorically denied the allegations and even told Senator Orin Hatch he wasn’t at the party in question. Ed Whelan, Justice Scalia’s former law clerk and president of conservative think tank the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC), came out in defense of Brett Kavanaugh and said compelling evidence will come out next week exonerating Kavanaugh. DEWEY BEACH, Delaware — Christine Blasey Ford grew up in Washington’s affluent Maryland suburbs, graduated from an expensive all-girls private high school and spent summers immersed in the wild nightlife of this Eastern Shore resort town. Democrats exulted when U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen announced last year she was retiring. Because the Republican congresswoman’s district leans Democratic, one prominent Washington election watcher immediately labeled the race “lean Democratic.” No longer. On the heels of two internal polls Wednesday that showed Democratic nominee Donna Shalala either losing or nearly tied with GOP opponent Maria Elvira Salazar, the Washington non-partisan election handicapper, the Cook Political Report, moved the needle back to the middle to “toss-up.” David Wasserman, who tracks House races for Cook and last week suggested that some Democrats were worried that Shalala had not pulled away, called

Senate Democrats are backing the demand of Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyer that her client not be questioned until the FBI investigates her charge that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her some time in the early 1980s. Leave aside for a moment that there’s not much to investigate — she has forgotten key details and has not alleged that there are contemporaneous witnesses other than Kavanaugh and another individual, who has denied that anything of the sort happened. There is no constitutional warrant for the investigation they seek. As Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley

The Deep State is in an obvious panic mode since President Donald Trump ordered a number of documents relating to the Russia investigation be declassified. Joining the loud choir of those who are pushing for insubordination against the president is former CIA Director John Brennan. (Photo) Appearing on MSNBC on Tuesday, Brennan urged people in the intelligence community to ignore the president’s order. The former CIA head was stripped of his security clearance by Trump in August for his bizarre behavior. “A number of individuals are trying to protect Mr. Trump and abusing their authorities and their powers, whether it

California Gov. Jerry Brown ramped up his criticism of President Trump in an interview that aired Monday--calling the president a “saboteur” in the fight to combat climate change and saying that “something’s got to happen to this guy.” Speaking to MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell at an environmental summit in San Francisco last week, Brown tore into Trump for the president’s controversial tweets about the death toll in Puerto Rico from last year’s Hurricane Maria and urged voters to vote for Democrats in November’s midterm elections in an effort to thwart Trump’s agenda. “We never had a president who was engaged in this kind of

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appearing with Rachel Maddow on MSNBC Tuesday Night, stated the Russian interference in the 2016 election was all about “getting me out of the way,” adding, “I don’t know if Trump is a witting or unwitting tool of Putin.” While discussing Russia’s hostile actions in the 2016 election Clinton said, “I think I was an obstacle to their plans to undermine and disrupt our democracy. I think I was an obstacle to their efforts to try to impose greater authoritarian control in Russia, go after people who were opponents of Putin’s, whether they were

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) says that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the professor who came forward with a sexual assault accusation against Brett Kavanaugh, should not be "bullied" into testifying Monday in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee without an FBI investigation being performed. In an interview with CNN, the Democratic senator says that committee members are bullying Ford by calling for her testimony without the support of corroborating witnesses or an FBI investigation into the credibility of her claim. "I don´t think she should be bullied into this scenario, where it´s a ´he-said, she-said´ when many of the committee members

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be one of eight people honored by Harvard University next month with the W.E.B. Du Bois Medal.
