Beto O’Rourke Dreams of One Texas.
Ted Cruz Sees Another Clearly.

LONGVIEW, Tex. — Beto O’Rourke was racing left again, insisting he knew what he was doing. “Hydroplaning there a little bit,” he said softly, doing 75 in the passing lane through an East Texas downpour, double-fisting beef jerky in his silver pickup. This self-assurance was understandable. In his campaign against Senator Ted Cruz, Mr. O’Rourke has been attempting the Texas equivalent of walking on water — winning statewide as a liberal Democrat — without yet losing his balance. There is bipartisan consensus, including from Mr. Cruz, that Mr. O’Rourke could actually prevail in November — maybe — if the blue

No, Robert Francis is dreaming of the Oval Office. Texas is just a step in that direction. Cruz tried to use Texas in the same way. Maybe he´s learned from the experience. O´Rourke is not going to win Texas´s Senate seat in 2018. Take it to the bank.

There won´t be one Texas until they get rid of Austin. But they´re all yankees anyway so it should not be difficult. Unfortunately that´s the audience that Beto plays to.

I didn´t read the article I see his ads on the TV. They sound like the late Rodney King wrote them "can´t we all just get along". What hokum! Beto dreams of one Texas with no guns and that is just a dream never going to happen! Remember whenever leftists use the word "bipartisan" it means that Republicans agree with Democrats, it is never used to imply Democrats agree with Republicans!

We moved to Texas in December. Love it here and crushes the Northeast, although it does get hot. There is no way that Robert O’Rouke wins. This poser changed his name to “Beto” to try to win over the Latino vote. He doesn’t have an ounce of Latino in him unless he is eating Mexican cuisine. Cruz will destroy him and the MSM will weep.

fta: "..Any breakthrough, Democrats have long believed, would be borne of demographics and triangulation: Focus on the cities, with their surging Hispanic populations and creeping cosmopolitanism. Edge to the middle a bit to bring in wary moderates. And impress upon voters just how extreme the incumbents had become..."

That is key to understanding the pay that is in progress-- media saturation about Robert Francis O´Rourke PANDERING and playing hispanic voters, and hoping those moving to Texas from liberal parts of the country can turn it against itself...

Wendy "abortion Barbie" didn´t play well at all here, going down to a disasterous defeat, but the demonrat socialists are just bidding their time until enough liverals move in with their socialistic views. The back up plnn is to get the loyalty of illegal alien´s children who will be given amnesty and free stuff courtesy of you and me, to turn the tide.

Texas is the key. They already have the big cities....

We keep seeing story after story that Beto Pancho is catching up or neck and neck with Senator Cruz in an effort to dishearten potential republican voters from showing up.

In every race of every election TURNOUT is key

I live in Texas. For weeks. O´Rourke has been running TV ads that show him as a Kennedy looking nice guy. Not one of those ads talks about what he STANDS for or BELIEVES.

That is because what he has publicly stated he believes in are:

1) he wants to confiscate guns from law-abiding Texans,

2) he wants abortion to be legal for 9 months and paid for by the government,

3) he wants open borders with all illegal aliens to get state paid benefits.

And the list of things he is totally out of step with the average Texan goes on and on and on!!!!

I can´t wait for the debates. Cruz is going to eat his lunch -- at the debates and in November!!!!!

O´Rourke is a Kennedy clone. Sadly, it´s a clone of TED Kennedy, not JFK!!!!!

Seriously, Beto has been using that nickname since he was a kid. One of the local fishwrap columnists (all pro-Beto) was able to prove it.

But it´s the media´s and coastal Democrats wet dream that Beto wins. He´s running hard and spending money. But he cancelled a debate with Ted for last night and Ted is keeping his powder dry for the fall (he is being out-raised about 3 to 1, thanks to the coastal Democrats spending lotsa bucks on the race).

Ted is going to run this race like it´s tied regardless of the polls or what should happen. Not a bad strategy, too bad most GOP don´t adopt it.

Because it´s going to take President Trump dragging the sorry carcass of the GOP Establishment across the finish line this November.

I’m also a Texan, and #12 is correct. “Beto” is running TV ads that say absolutely nothing about his leftist views. Instead, he brags about visiting each of the hundreds of Texas counties.

But as Carly Fiorina famously observed, travel isn’t an achievement - it’s an activity.

Beto O’Rourke cracked open the door to a 2020 presidential run in the most Beto way possible: walking down the street and chatting with a celebrity tracker for TMZ.com. His public tease was inevitable, considering the amount of public pressure that’s being put on him. After O’Rourke’s narrow loss to Senator Ted Cruz, his Senate campaign staffers quickly leaked their interest in keeping the band together for a presidential primary tour. Democrats from Iowa didn’t waste time inviting him to speak. Even Golden State Warriors basketball coach Steve Kerr posted on Twitter: “Beto 2020.”

Pope Francis administered a stunning and humiliating shock to the bishops of the Catholic Church in the United States last week. The American bishops had gathered in Baltimore to discuss a pair of measures to deal with the continuing crisis over clerical sexual abuses in this country. The measures were fairly modest. One sought to build on the 2002 “Dallas charter” — measures designed to stop priests’ abuse of children, mostly young boys — by extending its rules on reporting and accountability to bishops. The other would have launched an investigation, led by lay Catholics,

Sparked by his narrow defeat in a Texas Senate race, Beto O’Rourke is scrambling the 2020 presidential primary field, freezing Democratic donors and potential campaign staffers in place as they await word of his plans. Even prior to O’Rourke’s meteoric rise, many Democratic fundraisers had approached the large number of 2020 contenders with apprehension, fearful of committing early to one candidate. But the prospect of a presidential bid by O’Rourke, whose charismatic Senate candidacy captured the party’s imagination, has suddenly rewired the race.

The children held the damp pieces of cloth to their mouths and breathed through them. He had been on the job, driving the bus for Ponderosa Elementary School in the northern California city of Paradise, only for a few months.

Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn was arrested on suspicion of under-reporting $44.6 million in pay, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office said Monday. Also arrested was Greg Kelly, a representative director at Nissan, on suspicion of conspiracy with Ghosn. In 1999, French automaker Renault and the Japanese automaker formed a strategic alliance. Ghosn, 64, was then sent by Renault to take over as chief operating officer of Nissan. Nissan CEO Hirota Saikawa, taking the unusual step of appearing by himself in a news conference, criticized the concentration of too much power by a single individual.

Seventy-six people are dead. At least 1,276 are missing. And more than 7 million have been confined to their homes, as a cloud of toxic, corrosive ash darkens their windows and creeps under their doors. The Camp Fire—which is still burning across some 232 square miles of Northern California—now ranks among the worst natural disasters to hit the United States this century. Only a handful of hurricanes and a “super outbreak” of tornadoes in 2011 have killed more Americans. This fire has robbed more Californians of their lives than has any earthquake since 1933.
