DETROIT — The bishop who officiated Aretha Franklin’s funeral apologized Friday to Ariana Grande for how he touched her onstage and a joke he made about her name. Bishop Charles H. Ellis III led Franklin’s funeral and awkwardly greeted Grande on stage after she performed “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” Images of the moment showed Ellis’ hand holding Grande well above her waist, with his fingers pressing against one side of her chest. The preacher apologized in an interview with The Associated Press at the cemetery where Franklin was interred late Friday. “It would never be my intention to touch any

First of all, she was dressed for entertainment and not a funeral. Second of all, the preacher is a leech. The both deserve each other (disgusting).

Thought the entire funeral was trashy. The gold coffin. Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson.. the reverence and his unacceptable behavior. The screaming that was called singing. Bill Clinton ogling. All these low lifes pushing and shoving to get in the front of the parade. Disappointing.

Also FTA: "Ellis also apologized to Grande, her fans and Hispanic community for making a joke about seeing her name on the program and thinking it was a new item on the Taco Bell menu." So did those in attendance gaffaw? Or were they aghast? Just wondering.

Last time I looked, the Funeral was at 6 1/2 hours. Not sure how long it actually was! WHO does that? Who would like to sit through that long of a funeral and why in the world did Franklin´s "people" think it was appropriate to do that? It was garish!

First, what Ariana did was wrong, at least at a funeral. The funeral was about Aretha Franklin, not selling your image or songs for money. It was also wrong for all those liberal anti American political hacks to use the death of a great singer, as a way to spew their hatred for our Constitution, personal freedom and anything sacred and moral. THEY HAD NO RIGHT to politicize Aretha Franklins funeral!!!
Second, Bill Clinton´s stares at Ariana, along with the other "guests", proves one thing... the utter stupidity and politicizing, done by the Gender Neutral crowd, who keep trying to convince us that there is no difference between men and women (done to justify perverted lifestyles). Sorry, but their is a difference... and thank GOD there is.
She was using her female sexuality to sell herself and her music and Bill was lusting after a cute, leg baring young woman. Both doing what is nature (but should be self controlled and curbed), in spite of the fact that both are Democrats and proponents of Gender Neutral ideology.

The really funny thing is that the pastor made a joke about her name sounding like an item on the Taco Bell menu, then apologized to the Hispanic community for the joke. In case anyone cares, Ariana Grande is 100% Italian! Her family is half from Abruzzo and half from Sicily, it´s all out there. She was raised in Florida and speaks (and sings) in Spanish at times, perpetuating the Hispanic myth. This makes the pastor many times more ignorant than he already is - making assumptions about race and ethnicity based on a name.

A federal judge barred the Trump administration on Monday from refusing asylum to immigrants who cross the southern border illegally. U.S. District Judge Jon S. Tigar issued a temporary restraining order after hearing arguments in San Francisco. The request was made by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Center for Constitutional Rights, which quickly sued after President Donald Trump issued the ban this month in response to the caravans of migrants that have started to arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Additional rounds of rain are expected in northern California, near the devastating Camp Fire, Thursday and Friday, according to Accuweather Senior Meteorologist Mike Doll. “The rain mid- to late week will greatly aid crews battling the Camp Fire,” said Doll. Southern California, where the destructive Woolsey Fire is raging, will also see rain midweek, but not as much as northern and central areas of the state.
