Supreme Court rebuffs Catholic

The U.S. Supreme Court declined on Thursday to force the city of Philadelphia to resume the placement of children in need of foster care with a Catholic agency that refuses to accept gay couples as foster parents. In a decision that Catholic Social Services had said would force its foster care program to close, the justices refused the religious agency’s request for an injunction compelling the city to allow it to place children in foster homes while litigation over the dispute continues in lower courts. n the brief order that did not give any reasons for the decision, three conservative members of the court, Justices Clarence Thomas,

Comments:
If the Supreme Court can grant protection to transsexuals and other mentally ill offshoots of the homosexual community, why are they suddenly turning against the Christian Faith that inspired our laws? What good is it to swear on a Bible if you don´t follow the basic tenants written within it?

And the slow, relentless descent of our legal and cultural institutions into the abyss of abomination continues, the eventual result being that the earth itself is defiled and "vomiteth out her inhabitants." (Leviticus 18:25.)

when it comes to adoption, most women who are looking to place their child for adoption, it is their CHOICE who gets their child as long as the state has done the appropriate background checks. So, for adoption, it´s choice, a word the leftists believe supersedes every decision. right?

The way I see it, with the current mess in the Catholic Church hierarchy, they could not posssibly allow same sex couples to foster children. They will just have to shut down that arm of Catholic Social Services. Pope Francis might not share my view due to his liberal state of mind.

Could it be that the mess in the Catholic church is what happens when one guy is in charge? Christ said "upon this rock..." but what was He talking about? Is the church built on Peter or on the apostles, whose natural leader was Peter? (Eph. 2:20 "(household of God, v19) built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.) Notice that the metaphors are used interchangeably through the scriptures. In 1 Corinthians 3:10-11, Paul calls himself the expert builder and Jesus the foundation built. In Revelation 21:14 we read the apostles are the foundation of the city of God. Here Peter has the keys; in Revelation 1:18; 3:7, Jesus has the keys. In John 9:5, Jesus is “the light of the world”; in Matthew 5:14, his disciples are. In one case, Jesus is the foundation and Paul is the builder. In another case, the apostles and prophets are the foundation and Jesus is the cornerstone. In Matthew 16:18 Jesus is the builder. “I will build my church.” The foundation of the church is the apostles. And if Peter were really the "pope" at that time, then why are most of the books of the New Testament written by Paul? And, then, why should it have been passed on to anyone at all after the Holy Scriptures were assembled? We only know this because the Catholic church tells us. What do the Scriptures actually say? Titus 1:5 (letter written by Paul) "The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you." And, Acts 14:23 "Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church...".

In the midst of a clean-up of a BIG problem in the Roman Catholic Church comes a decision that shows the Supreme Court Justices spend too much time in air-conditioned buildings and not enough time breathing fresh air.

The conclusion of the Church is that the problem is a homosexual problem caused by an organized effort to destroy the clergy by Communists and homosexuals (who destroy every organization they have found so far).

So on the count of three, everybody echo their favorite doctrinal / ecclesial flame at their favorite interreligious / interdenominational rival(s)...

After that, we can resolve age-old arguments about politics on some sports site, won´t that be fun!

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit the South Korean capital “in the near future” and will take tentative steps to close a missile and testing site, ROK President Moon Jae-in said on Wednesday. In a joint statement following the signing of a new inter-Korean agreement, the South Korean President said the two sides had agreed to “remove all danger” of war on the peninsula. The North Korean leader, he continued, would conduct an “unprecedented” visit to South Korea soon, and would close the Tongchang-ri engine test ground and missile test pad.
