Thread 2
Today marks the 4th year anniversary of Lucianne.com. This is an eternity in dotcom land. Our readership has grown beyond our wildest projections. We want to thank our loyal Ldotters for making us the premier interactive news forum on the web and the tough little band of staffers who have worked 24/7/365 to keep us up and running and hopefully, an important part of your lives.

You ARE my favorite site on the Internet. It is remarkable how much I feel truly informed as to current events and feel less alone because of the constant posts that continue 7/24. Thank you, Lucianne, Amy. Staff & fellow LDotters, for letting me share in your very special 'family' here.

Reply 2 - Posted by: Foggybottom, 3/10/2003 2:04:40 PM

Congratulations, Lucianne and staff of web-creatures, (remember that?). This site is a Godsend to many.

#92 FatheroftheInternet ~ I'm still waiting for someone to talk to us about a LUCIANNE Convention..... I'm sure that there are enuf of us that would be willing to shoulder a good deal of the planning.....

Sign me up! Dallas is a good central location for both east and west coasters to not have to fly too far away. I will help w/planning, etc. Any other Texas L-dotters ready to help host/plan/sponsor a party?

Reply 4 - Posted by: FOXNEWS rules, 3/10/2003 2:06:57 PM

OMG, I've been sitting on my butt that long at this keyboard? I remember well when Drudge announced you were opening a web site and he was providing a link..and its been 4 years already?

Congratualtions and here's to many many more. You're a must on my daily trek through cyberspace.

Happy Anniversary, Lucianne and staff, especially hard-working Amy and Igor. Lucianne, you are our doyenne in the purest sense of the word [a person uniquely skilled by long experience is some field of endeavor]. Thank you for your wonderful site. LDotters rock!

Reply 8 - Posted by: IGWTrust, 3/10/2003 2:15:48 PM

May thanks to you, Lucianne, staff and Ldotters. Just like a family.
Six years and growing!

Reply 9 - Posted by: Andromeda, 3/10/2003 2:16:57 PM

This is the greatest site for the latest news and conversation.

It's just such a downer to go back to the "real world" of leftist news articles and liberal prancing. I get spoiled hanging out here.

Reply 10 - Posted by: Pam Torson, 3/10/2003 2:21:14 PM

To the cyberplace that is a big part of my life -- Here’s my toast (clink, clink) to the world’s BEST website in all the world (did I say that this site is the best?)

[I remember when I used to have free time.] LOL. Tis a distant memory, but, hey, I NEVER get bored anymore.

MUCHO GRACIAS for all the hard work you do, Lucianne, Amy, Igor, and staff. I’m blowing cyber-kisses. ''FOUR MORE YEARS'', EVERY four years!

For reminding me it was again time to ANTE UP for a little donation to Lucianne.com...

Lucianne and Amy, my dears - if I was home in the city, I'd run down there and lay some BIG hugs and smooches on ya' both.

Has it been 4 years? Thank you for helping us begin to turn the tide on the 40 year stranglehold of the leftist media!

Reply 20 - Posted by: FLgator, 3/10/2003 2:39:36 PM

Congrats to the best site on the web, and thanks.

Reply 21 - Posted by: KCSTAN, 3/10/2003 2:44:41 PM

Someone once said to “keep your friends close but your enemies closer”, therefore I first started antagonizing the L’com group just a few months after the initial launch because this was the absolute best place to find Clinton witch hunt paranoia. I’ve stayed around these four years just to see what insanity could come from the mind of MsFalconersCabanaBoy, Standing Wolf, Fists of Fury, GOPJihad, and the rest of the group.

And while I relish my role as perpetual site pest, I find that Lucianne members have an insight for the news, posting the most interesting articles with really well thought out comments following. In fact as opposed, as I will always be with many of you on some subjects I find myself in agreement with you on many others.

So Lucianne, thanks for being a gracious host. Live long and prosper. Long time posters, and newbies, keep up the good work. And as a great man once said, “don’t stop thinking about tomorrow”!

Reply 22 - Posted by: CNY, 3/10/2003 2:45:59 PM

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! This is the main place I get my news. Thanks to Lucianne, Amy and all the wonderful staff, and thanks also to all the Ldotters, from whose comments I've learned so much and laughed so much. And now I believe I'll go to PayPal and make a donation.

Reply 23 - Posted by: Becky, 3/10/2003 2:47:20 PM

Happy Anniversary and many thanks to everyone who makes this site possible, and a special thank-you to Lucianne for her warmth, her wit and her wisdom. Her words have comforted, encouraged, and cheered me for four wonderful years, and I am grateful for the sense of community that I feel here.

Reply 24 - Posted by: Ceci, 3/10/2003 2:48:21 PM

Thank you Lucianne & Company for a great, informative site. I look forward to sharing the end of PIAPS's national political viability with conservative L-Dotters, and may that day come soon.

Reply 25 - Posted by: thelmalou, 3/10/2003 2:53:20 PM

#24, amen and amen. I pray for that every day. Literally.

Reply 26 - Posted by: Society Dweller, 3/10/2003 2:54:44 PM

Dear Lucianne, Congrats on your great success! My mornings revolve around a cup of Starbucks, a bananna nut muffin and a mouse clik to my favorite website. If I do not get my morning cup of coffee and some good chuckles at reading the always funny posts you are known for getting, I go into spasmatic withdrawals and drooling convulsions which even Igor would be slightly amused at. Lucianne is a way of life. You have the largest family in the world of people who love you. Your the BEST!

Reply 27 - Posted by: DuvalCrawler, 3/10/2003 2:56:23 PM

Happy anniversary, and thanks to Lucianne, Amy and all you hard workers who provide we conservatives with a cyber-place we can call home.

HAPPY 4th ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Here's to many many more years!

Reply 33 - Posted by: folsomguy, 3/10/2003 3:15:24 PM

I think I would have followed SW to Holorado Springs Holorado without you to keep me sane. It’s very hard to get to the truth with the liberal media here in California. Thank G-d for Lucianne, all her staff and the Ldotters (well, maybe not some of the site pests).

Reply 34 - Posted by: Kent G. Orlando, 3/10/2003 3:16:17 PM

Thansk for being here for us, Lucianne and Co.! You've kept us all sane and smiling, even during the worst of times!

Reply 35 - Posted by: griefs2bear, 3/10/2003 3:17:03 PM

Thank you Lucianne and all the staff, posters, and guests for making this the most informative and entertaining site.

May you have many more years of super success.

Reply 36 - Posted by: delSol, 3/10/2003 3:19:06 PM

Lucianne.com has changed the way I get my news. I used to listen to Rush and be thrilled by all of the articles he mentioned, but now, I've already read everything he discusses by noon EST.

I love this site, and I love the cyber-home I've become a part of. Thanks for the work.

Reply 37 - Posted by: SusiQ, 3/10/2003 3:19:41 PM

This is my favorite site - I sure have gotten more than my share of laughs reading some of the posts over these last few years! Thanks for keeping us informed and laughing (hey, it's better than crying!) Happy Well-Deserved Anniversary!

Reply 38 - Posted by: thewarden, 3/10/2003 3:20:43 PM

Happy Anniversary !

Thanks to Lucianne and Amy for all the work you put into this site.

May God Bless you and God Bless America.

Reply 40 - Posted by: moogman, 3/10/2003 3:26:23 PM

Congratulations to Lucianne and staff. Thank you for keeping this wonderful site going. It is an island of sanity in the otherwise barren land of news.

I have a suggestion for a site motto:

"Give us 22 clicks, and we'll give you the world."

Reply 41 - Posted by: Stars-stripes, 3/10/2003 3:27:05 PM

Four years. In that time we have seen the demise of many of the lesser ones. Yet L.Dot recently had a waiting list just to register. That speaks loads to the satisfaction and quality of (our) Lucianne.com that keeps us so well informed every day. Besides my Pall Malls, I have to admit I am also addicted to you Lucianne, Amy, Igor, et al. Please, never let it end.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Reply 42 - Posted by: MMC, 3/10/2003 3:30:17 PM

This website has been my link to the outside world. I can stay informed, spout my opinion, have get a sense of proportion.

Standing Wolf is a common name in our home. Many of the posters here have backgrounds that add to the understanding of the news of the day. I appreciate all of you....

Right now, however, with the war looming, I am as ansty as a woman nine months pregnant with the baby sitting on the sciatic nerve.

Thanks Lucianne and Amy- you make a great team.
MMC

Reply 43 - Posted by: proudconservative, 3/10/2003 3:32:10 PM

All I can say is "WOW". I can't remember when I registered. All I know is that I would go nuts without this site. I live here, checking back all day long for current news. I have 4 kids ( 7,6,3 and 1),who get upset if I leave the Fox news shows on all day. I have become a political news junky since Nov. 2000.

Lucianne, you are the best. I e-mailed you a while back because I kept getting a 2 day old page whenever I logged on. I didn't know about "refreshing". I couldn't believe that it was actually you who wrote me back. I just love you. Thank you soooo much for all you do. And by the way I hardly ever go to Drudge anymore.

Reply 44 - Posted by: Yorkiemom, 3/10/2003 3:33:08 PM

I've been a proud Lucianne junky for three years or more. I second the poster who said he/she never gets anything done anymore, but I sure am up on the latest news and get to read the greatest and funniest comments.

I salute Lucianne and staff with my Lucianne.com coffee mug. Thanks for all the great pictures along with your funny comments, Lucianne. Thanks also for the great Jonah columns. Now, when is that grandbaby going to start writing?

Happy Anniversary!

Reply 48 - Posted by: aquilegia, 3/10/2003 3:41:55 PM

Lucianne.com has become an institution. No mean feat in a fast moving world. Genius editing has propelled this site.

Discipline keeps emotions directed, properly, at the issues and articles and not at other posters. Lucianne is an excellent disciple, and we all benefit, every day, from her passion for truth.

Reply 49 - Posted by: willow, 3/10/2003 3:42:14 PM

Happy 4th Anniversary!
This site is a 'must read' each day.
Thank you to Lucianne and all of the LComStaffers for making it possible for all of us from all parts of this country to be able to post our opinions each day.:^)

Reply 50 - Posted by: Grouper, 3/10/2003 3:44:13 PM

Participants on this site are on the vanguard of the Internet information revolution. Never again will the liberal media, to include the alphabet networks, WaPo, NYT, SacBee, or other extreme left-driven mediums be able to cultivate your mind with misleading and false information. Your nightly news will never be the same.

Thanks to this site and others, citizens are now able to read a wide range of opinion, and formulate within their own system of beliefs what is truthful and not. This Internet solution can be likened to the new Boston Tea Party and anyone can drop in for a dose of reality.

It isn’t for everyone, but it is for every thoughtful and rational person who cares for our country. God Bless America!

Thank you LCom staff and dotters all!

Well, I wondered how long this site had been in existence.... I must have been one of the very earlier posters.... WOW!

I agree with #16...."Keeping conservatives sane since 1999".... and with the poster who thinks Lucianne should adopt it as a motto.

What gracious comments from sitepest KCStan! But what do you suppose he meant by saying a great man once said "Don't stop thinking about tomorros." The song was really written by Christine McVie. [evil grin here, as I know who he really meant.... he needs to review the meaning of "great"..... LOL)

Reply 58 - Posted by: Tanstaafl, 3/10/2003 4:13:07 PM

I've only been here a year but it feels like forever - in the best possible sense. All of you eloquent posters have managed to steal my best lines, so I'll steal from Rush and say 'Mega-dittos' to all of your posts. ('Cept for some of KSTAN's - was it ever so? He gets a 'P' for Persistence. )

Thank you Lucianne, Amy and staff - and thanks to all of my fellow LDotters for reporting the news to us all day, every day.

What an honor to make my first post on the 4th Anniversary of LUCIANNE.
I have enjoyed years of reading (not to mention improving my mental health) with long, sustained belly-laughs from many of you. Also, the provoking of much deep thinking on many subjects. Thanks Lucianne to you and those who helped you bring this all together.
Congrats and Best Wishes for Many More Years!!

Reply 64 - Posted by: pomom, 3/10/2003 4:26:01 PM

Happy Four Years, Lucianne. Traditionally, the 4th anniversary gift is linen or silk, which is what you deserve. Modern-day, suggests electrical appliances.

In your honor, how about we send some electric cattle prods to the U.N.

This is the best news forum on the entire web - bar none. Did I say bar? I lift this Crown Royal to the lady and her staff!!

Reply 65 - Posted by: MickeyMouse, 3/10/2003 4:26:58 PM

We were all perched to sign up the first day and were sooooo happy to be official. The traumas came when site had to be closed for some updating and we all sat around and whined like 2 year olds wondering what to do.

Lucianne, perhaps next year you can put on a L.Dot Birthday party in Las Vegas. Set up a block of rooms at one of the Strips hottest spots. Invite all L Dotters to book early and come ready to have a good time.
Put on a special dinner show with Igor doing stand up comedy, and Amy as a Show Girl.

It seems like it's been longer than four years since I first came to this site. I first came upon it through Drudge, and to this day, I go to Drudge first, but only long enough to read the headlines, then it's right over here to the illimitable Lucianne.com, in order to get the real lowdown on what's going on. Lucianne and the gang, you have a remarkably intelligent and well-informed crew of users around here, but none of us would be here without your efforts, and it is greatly appreciated.

All the best,

The Captain
Houston

Happy Anniversary to everyone at L.com who makes every day of my week. Can't imagine life without Lucianne.com, can't remember life before Lucianne.com. All my literate friends and relatives have made you the same daily habit and we share a commitent to spreading the word.

You do a wonderful job, the shortcuts are invaluable and clever, the ongoing Barney saga is delightful...everything you do is worth a large exclamation point and a 10 decibel ''thank you.''

Here's to many, many years with many, many thanks. Special thanks for your love of this country, your dedication to our men and women in the armed services, and to our wonderful President of the United States.

Kudos, Kudos, Kudos (With Strawberries and Ice Cream on top!)

Thanks for all that Y'all do (day in/day out)

Absolutely one of the best sites on the web for the exhange of informed, common sense based opinions; humor, controlled venting and a great venue for playing "Wack-A-Mot*, ahh, Liberal"

Not only have you built a great site beyond all your expectations...you have created a magnificient public forum unmatched anywhere on the web.

I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!

Best Regards (& even a lil love),
Olderyzer / Jack in Texas

WOW Condor!

Dear Lucianne, Amy, Igor and LDotters

All of you have made a definite difference in my DAILY life. Thank you.

It's so refreshing to read LDotter's replies and know that for the most part we are on the same wave length.

Thank you, Lucianne, for your brilliant idea of bringing this forum to us! I only wish I had discovered your site sooner.

A special friend gave me your url and I have been addicted for over two years!

Congratulations! Happy Anniversary!
