Congratulations, and God's continued Blessings upon your family!

'Little Things To Do Which Will Mean So Much More Later':

- Save copies of prominent newspapers today (conservative papers of course)

- Collect some U.S. currency issued in 2003 ($1,5,10,20,50 bills, + coins) and save it.

- Think about getting a video camera, setting it up, and then just record your own personal thoughts today about what's happening in the world, and mentally picture your brand new arrival as she might be when she turns 18, and is viewing the tape for the first time? (might want to burn it to DVD to be sure it gets saved for posterity!)

- Be sure to put aside a nice picture of our President and First Lady (hint, hint, Ari? Ari Fleischer? We KNOW you cruise this site from time to time, hint-hint-hint? ;)

Mazel tov to all!

Nothing in the universe sweeter than a little baby girl. Nothing. (And I'm assuming Dad, Mom and Grandmom are already securely wrapped around that little teenie pinkie!)
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY!!!

Reply 22 - Posted by: jb3kids, 2/11/2003 11:16:18 AM

Oh, thank heaven for little girls! Many, many blessings and congratulations. We know y'all will raise her right!

Reply 34 - Posted by: big gray tabby, 2/11/2003 11:44:57 AM

Congrats, Grandma, though you're too young of course. Here's hoping the little gal takes after her Mother.

Advice for new parents: Don't listen to those that tell you not to bring the baby into bed when she won't sleep. Fie upon them. Grab the sleep when you can and don't hesitate to enjoy cuddling with those babies. You'll never get that back after it's gone.

Reply 35 - Posted by: daphne, 2/11/2003 11:45:04 AM

Wonderful news, for a change! BTW, I have THREE handsome grandsons, ages 6, 3 and 1. Is it too soon for some matchmaking???

Welcome to the world, Baby Goldberg, may you always be blessed by the Lord, find joy in life and have PLENTY of brothers and sisters ---the world needs more fine and intelligent people.

You and I were born in the Year of the Goat --- you are sensitive, artistic and a dreamer --- good traits, especially with your genes. All the best to Baby, Mama, Papa, and Grandparents (and all other family)

Reply 61 - Posted by: Andromeda, 2/11/2003 12:57:07 PM

Reply 84 - Posted by: DEG, 2/11/2003 3:13:59 PM

For collectible coins, I suggest going to a coin and stamp store and buying a proof set for 2003. A proof set is a group of all denominations of coins struck that year and they are guaranteed to be in uncirculated condition, which means they have no scratch marks, all the details are nice and sharp, makes them more valuable in later years. You can also get a mounting board which looks nice when hung on the wall. You can type or write a short note to the person for inclusion in the wall-mount.

Reply 85 - Posted by: piripi, 2/11/2003 3:21:47 PM

Wonderful and joyous news! Congratulations mom and dad. Special felicitations to our wonderful hostess who has become a grandmother for the first time. This must be such a proud and happy moment for you Ms. L - I am truly happy for you and family. I hope baby is well and will enjoy a healthy, happy, and prosperous life.

The priest in church Sunday asked, "Now who here can honestly say they were always cheerful when tending to crying baby in the middle of the night?"
I loved every minute of it!
May the Good Lord continue to bless you all!

They say that grandchildren are God's reward to you for letting your children live! In that case, I have been amply rewarded - so may you be, dear Lucianne!
