GOP pols slam Rosenstein, say

GOP lawmakers accused the Justice Department of "intimidation" on the heels of a Fox News report that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein once threatened to "subpoena" House committee members, with one lawmaker now claiming staffers have been left “physically shaking” over Rosenstein´s tactics. Fox News’ Catherine Herridge reported Tuesday on emails that described a tense closed-door meeting in January. Written by commitee staffers, they said Rosenstein threatened to subpoena emails, phone records and other documents from lawmakers and aides on the House Intelligence Committee -- in response to inquiries regarding the Russia probe. One staffer said Rosenstein launched a “sustained

Here is a definition of Contempt of Congress:

Contempt of Congress. ... In modern times, contempt of Congress has generally applied to the refusal to comply with a subpoena issued by a Congressional committee or subcommittee—usually seeking to compel either testimony or the production of requested documents."

According to this definition, the person held in contempt does not “... as an American citizen charged with the offense of contempt of Congress, he would have the right to defend himself, including requesting production of relevant emails and text messages and calling them as witnesses to demonstrate that their allegations are false.”

It appears that there is a simple test to determine Contempt of Congress:

a. Did, in the course of their oversight duties, Congress, or a Committee of Congress request or subpoena testimony or the production of requested documents?

b. Was the request or subpoena honored?

If the answer to a. is yes and the answer to b. is no, Congress has the power to unilaterally hold the party in Contempt of Congress.

Open and shut, no "right to defend himself, including requesting production of relevant emails and text messages and calling them as witnesses to demonstrate that their allegations are false."

Rosenstein is making-up rights that do not exist.

The answer to all of this is to release all the documents for the American people to see. Right now the people who either “colluded” with the Russians or did not “collude” with the Russians know what happened, the DOJ and the FBI know what happened, surely the Russians know what they did or did not do to meddle in the election, and the only people who do not know what went on is the Congress, that has constitutional oversight over all the federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies, and most important of all, the American people.

When one political party is accused of using the federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies of the government to spy on the opposing political party there is no doubt that all the facts of such alledged serious misconduct should be made public and brought to the attention of the American people. If not, it will be worse next time around.

How much more is Trump going to take from Rosenstein before he fires him? He´s behind Mueller being picked, behind the FBI Scandal being protected by not turning over the Documents and now he threatens the very people who were ELECTED (by US, THE PEOPLE) to oversee the DOJ and FBI. WHO exactly is in charge in the Trump Administration? Trump or Rosenstein and his Obama Holdover friends in the DOJ? I think Trump needs to fire Sessions NOW. He´s done NOTHING since he was made AG. Then he needs to fire Rosenstein and about half of HIS staff! Once Congress gets the Documents they´ve been after for over a year, Trump will probably know who else needs to be fired. For the time being, put someone in the AG position who has already been confirmed for another job (such as Mulvaney) so that the Democrats can´t stall in confirming him. jEESE...It´s way past time to CLEAN HOUSE at DOJ!

Big Brave Rosenstein is picking on congressional staffers to avoid lawful oversite of the FBI from another branch of Government. It is past time to lower the boom on Rosenstein and Sessions as well for tolerating this. There are already too many victims of this witch hunt in behalf of looser Hillary. All involved in this outrage, or tolerating it - should be banned for life from holding any Government job.

Session´s response on Tucker Carlson was infuriating. He stared in the camera and said the Senate ethics person that was there said something different. But when questioned further, Sessions does not answer the question --- but says Rosenstein has been in the DOJ for 28 years. Really, Mr. Sessions, I do not give a hoot how long Rosenstein has been at DOJ. The question was: Did Rosenstein threaten the GOP staffers with seizing their phones, emails, etc? Please answer the question, yes or no. And please show an interest in what happens at the DOJ. Frankly, Mr. Sessions, your response was atrocious, and I definitely and finally hope you are relieved of duty.

At minimum, he needs to be taken down a few notches. More likely, he needs to be fired.

Sessions, Rosenstein, and Mueller are swamp people begging to be fired so that there will be an uproar that will damage Trump. That´s just my opinion, but I also think Trump is waiting for what he thinks is the right time to dump all three, maybe after he is awarded the Nobel. He´s a strategic thinker, so we all have to be patient and see what unfolds down the road. He´s always a step ahead of these guys.

Sessions should be fired for taking Rosenstein´s side, not congress... he´s supposed to be independent. How does he know who is right he was not present, after all He recused himself. Since he recused himself he should keep his mouth shut.

Breitbart Big Government, by Jeff Landry    Original Article

Throughout the 2016 Presidential campaign, then-candidate Donald Trump was clear that he intended to enforce our nation’s immigration laws. As commander-in-chief, President Trump and his Attorney General Jeff Sessions have dutifully kept that promise. But now that the laws are being faithfully executed, we are witnessing just how broken our system truly is. The way our immigration laws are currently constituted, they provide for two enforcement options: full enforcement or no enforcement. For the safety of our children, no enforcement is not an option. The Obama policy of catch and release served as a notice to all illegal aliens

Clean the Swamp -President Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election in large part due to his stand against government corruption. Being an outsider, Americans believed Trump could make a real difference. The 2018 Congressional election is shaping up in similar fashion and because of this Donald Trump and Republicans will win again. In the 2016 election Americans were sick and tired of the corruption that consumed the Obama Administration. Americans were fed up with the Obama Administration and their patsy media. This message was represented in short chants at Trump rallies that all related to corruption— “Drain the Swamp!” Obama’s

Three-year-old Yanela Denise became the unintentional face of the now defunct family separation crisis after photographer John Moore captured her agonized face screaming as her mother was questioned by agents on June 12. After the picture was taken, the pair were taken together to a family detention center. Yanela´s father has since told DailyMail.com that they are ´safe´. As

The White House has donated steaks and other food from its cancelled congressional picnic to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, a spokesperson said Friday. President Trump had postponed this year’s congressional picnic on Wednesday, citing discussions over his administration’s controversial “zero-tolerance” immigration policy, which led to hundreds of families being separated at the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump told reporters it didn’t “feel right to have a picnic for Congress when we’re working on doing something very important.” “Because we’re all so busy, and I just mentioned to the congressmen and senators in the room that we are going to cancel

Judicial Watch today released newly obtained internal IRS documents, including material revealing that Sen. John McCain’s former staff director and chief counsel on the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee, Henry Kerner, urged top IRS officials, including then-director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner, to “audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous.” Kerner was appointed by President Trump as Special Counsel for the United States Office of Special Counsel. The explosive exchange was contained in notes taken by IRS employees at an April 30, 2013, meeting between Kerner, Lerner, and other high-ranking IRS officials. The LGBTQ summit and fundraising event was held at the TCO Performance Center Auditorium in Eagan. It centered around bridging the gap between the LGBTQ community and sports. It´s hard for us to see how this is good news. In its 5-4 decision on South Dakota v.
