Clinton: ‘Norms have changed for what you

It’s probably time for Bill Clinton to stop doing interviews. The former president has come under fire once again for comments he made during a recent sit-down — this time noting how “norms have changed in terms of what you can do to somebody against their will.” Clinton made the controversial statement while speaking to PBS Newshour about the resignation of former Senator Al Franken last year following his sexual misconduct scandal. “I assume you think that what happened with you was more serious than what happened with [Franken],” host Judy Woodruff asked Clinton. “He was driven from office, from

Not just President for 8 years, but the liberal icon for Democrat /socialists. They literally thought he walked on water (pre Barky). He benefited from coming out of the Bush 41 recession and the dot com era. He clearly is showing his true feelings now though. Slime of the century, multi-time rapist and all around bad guy.

In other words, it was perfectly acceptable to rape and sexually pillage during his reign on the throne.

I will say something that will probably rile people up. BJ Clintoon was an OK president because he was forced to be "against his will". When Republicans got control in Congress, he knew to get anything done he would have to work with them. He did, and we got welfare reform. We got economic reforms that produced a vibrant economy.

Yes, the Clintoons are sleazy. They should have never been in office. BJ is a sexual preditor. Hillary is his enabler. Their public life is a non stop scandal show. They should probably be in jail for, at least, their Foundation work and Hillary´s email server, and maybe much more. I wish they would go away, NOW!

But we did get some good legislation from BJ. The Left, at the time, HATED him for his triangulation.

Compare that to BO who, while losing Congress, was passive aggressive and gave us nothing of value and much that hurt the Country. BO, to push his Socialist agenda, enabled massive corruption in Washington which is now being exposed.

BJ is still trying to desperately triangulate a legacy for himself that doesn´t include the iconic picture of him in his red heart underwear and a lecherous smirk on his face. What he hasn´t figured out is that his only friend is time. The more we see the Clintoons, the more we don´t like them. Time eases our memory.

How can we miss you BJ when you won´t GO AWAY?

Just like Hillary, he has no conscience. He can´t begin to believe that anything he did was wrong. It´s only wrong now because norms have changed? Wow. Forcing himself on unsuspecting women wasn´t wrong when he did it. It makes you wonder how rotten Chelsea will turn out to be.

Wow. The Rapist in Chief speaks.

Yeats´s "Leda and the Swan" comes to mind. The poem end thus:

"Being so caught up,
So mastered by the brute blood of the air,
Did she put on his knowledge with his power
Before the indifferent beak could let her drop?"

The answer to that question, of course, is no. The beak, after all was "indifferent." The swan just wanted to get off. Yeat´s brief (15 line) poem, one of his best, is quite memorable.

That poor little stooge who has to sit next to him during all of these interviews has to be wondering if it was good business to partner with this creep. He has that deer in the headlights look like "Oh no! not again". The poor guy looks like he has worked in the stockroom of a library all his life and then bam, welcome to the Clinton reality TV show. Master B. Clinton is right - - as he usually is.

I can remember - - say 30 or 40 years ago - - that a man could rape a woman - - and it was no big deal. Now a guy rapes a girl - - and it´s a big deal - - some kind of big whoop. You can´t blame Master B. for being confused by these bizarre new standards.

Oh - - for the good old days!

#22 writes: "...Barack Obama didn´t rape anybody because, you know..."

My biggest laugh of the month! That´s a great dig.

JFK and LBJ behaved badly (in the zipper sense) in the presidency, taking measures to ensure their wives didn´t catch them in flagrante delicto. Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, HW Bush, W Bush, and Ubama didn´t need to take such furtive measures.

Clinton, same as his hero JFK, preyed upon nubile young women. If his sins had occurred a half century before, maybe we wouldn´t have learned about them until long after. But that if isn´t an if. We know.

When Clinton appears in public and gets questions hinting at his own low behavior, his face goes crimson as his nose glows bright red, he points his bony finger at the supposed accuser, and in that familiar chafed voice, now choked with rage, he promptly changes the subject.

Can you blame him? Trump has been showing that, especially with his Tweets, he is a master at baiting his political opponents into shrieks of impotent rage. Go back three presidents and twenty years, and we have the undisputed, undefeated Mastur of Bating: Onan the Destroyer, Bullfrog T. Pettibone, huh huh huh.

As for James Patterson, I bet he doesn´t try that co-authorship with an ex-prez thing again. As if he needed it. (The story, I´m told, is insipid. The spotless main character makes Mr. Clean look like Pigpen and the noble Sir Gallahad look like, well, Bill Clinton.)

Re #18: Calling "Leda and the Swan" the greatest poem of the 20th Century, Camille Paglia wrote an absolutely brilliant exegesis of Yeats´s poem, from her 2005 book of her readings of 43 great poems, Break, Blow, Burn, (link below).

http://www.randomhouse.com/knopf/enewsletter/poetry05/06_paglia.html

If you treasure poetry, Palia´s book should be nearby. Don´t read it--absorb it. Experiencing those 43 chapters is nearly as much a joy as (I imagine) meeting her in person would be. Ms. Paglia is my kind.

This book business with Patterson reminds me of BJ around 1996. David Baldacci wrote a great novel, later released as a feature film, called Absolute Power about a lecherous philandering President who murdered a young girl. Clint Eastwood played the burglar who witnessed the whole thing behind a two way mirror. The same month, Air Force One was released and this time the President was portrayed by Harrison Ford as a decorated pilot and American hero. Ole´ BJ gushed to the media about how great the latter film was. Karma, baby.

Fewer people are celebrating Father’s Day than ever before, a fact that may have less to do with the nature of the holiday than it does with the nature of American families. A U.S. Census Bureau study found that the percentage of children living in single-parent households increased from 12 percent in 1960 to 31 percent in 2016. During that same timeframe, “the percentage of children living with only their mother nearly tripled.” These numbers are sobering because according to recent studies, kids who lack an engaged father (and so may be less likely to observe Father’s Day) are also
