Seven prisoners have been killed and at least 17 others injured in a riot at a maximum security prison in the US state of South Carolina, officials say. Violence erupted at the prison facility on Sunday evening and was brought under control in the early hours of Monday. There were "multiple altercations" at housing units at the Lee Correctional Institution, the South Carolina Department of Corrections said. All prison guards and law enforcement staff were said to be safe. "The incident at Lee [Correctional Institution] resulted in 17 inmates requiring outside medical attention and seven inmates were killed," the South

This can’t be true !! These people are in prison. There are rules against them having weapons. How could someone get weapons when they are banned ? That can’t happen.

S/O !!

I cannot imagine the stress and terror that comes with prison time. To suddenly find yourself in the midst of a riot of confined killers and other criminals who have nothing to lose would be your worst nightmare.

Guards were smart to let the animals kill each other. When they were tired of fighting it was easier to round ´em up and cage ´em again

I became a Prison guard (Correctional Officer) right after the 1980 riot in Santa Fe, N.M. I had access to the Attorney General´s Report on the event and also had full access to survivor officers and inmates. The truth behind that deadly event is far more horroing than the public has ever been told (33 dead and over 200 injured. The inmates took over the entire institution (except for death row) for almost three days. The Officer who was supervising death row at the time of the riot was a very good friend of mine.

Here is the thing about modern American prisons; Being incarcerated in them today is really not so bad except for the company you have to keep. If I were ever to go to prison as an inmate, my plan is to do so by committing a really horrific crime so that I would be placed in isolation- today called, "Protective Custody". You get a private cell, three showers a week and one hour a day recreation. No contact with other convicts. And they have to let you have a TV, any books you want, writing material, and they feed you and give you free medical care. No one can bother you. Believe it or not- that sounds pretty good to me. But, being incarcerated in general population could become your worst nightmare, as this SC riot proves.

It’s Undeniable: Trump Is Blessed

Donald Trump goes to Europe, scandalizes the Euroweenies, libs, and cruise-shilling grifters of Never Trump, and comes back victorious. He’s about to get his second SCOTUS justice confirmed – all they have on Brett Kavanaugh is that he likes beer and is named “Brett.” In Congress, the Democrats decided to go all in on abolishing ICE because Americans love open borders and welcome MS-13 or something. In the Mueller farce, the Dems decided that the smart play was to publicly run interference for creepy weirdo Peter Strzok when he went on national TV doing his impression of Lotion Boy from

I’m going to miss Lord & Taylor like mad when the Fifth Avenue flagship closes next year. It isn’t only because of the unlikely bargains I scored on its often-deserted men’s floors — a red vinyl Perry Ellis-label jacket, marked down from $79.95 to $39.95 that strangers hilariously mistake for Armani, and a wool winter coat as good as any for $49.99. I won’t miss the once-charming but more recently cheap-looking holiday windows that weren’t worth waiting on line for. But Lord & Taylor, like every big department store, offered a welcoming civility that softened the city’s rough edges. New

President Donald Trump is beginning his first trip to England as president. The trip has been mired in controversy over the cooling of relations between President Trump and English Prime Minister Theresa May. However, as the Trump presidential limousine pulled into Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, England, the reception could not have been warmer. The president and prime minister shook hands, but all eyes were on Melania. The first lady stepped out of the vehicle looking very much like a Disney princess. She wore a golden floor length gown. According to the White House pool, “FLOTUS was wearing a yellow floor

Actor James Woods took to his Twitter page Wednesday to praise President Trump for his efforts overseas, saying, “Trump is recasting America as the sovereign superpower of the world.” “Talk about ‘fundamental transformation’ of our nation,” wrote James Woods in a tweet. “Trump is recasting America as the sovereign superpower of the world.” In the same tweet, Woods lauded Trump for fulfilling promises that he made while on the campaign trail and also blasted German Chancellor Angela Merkel as a “progressive chump.” “He [Trump] has done more of what he promised in a year and a half than any president in modern history,”

No one is more upset about Trump´s second Supreme Court nomination than the liberal media ... unless it´s the entertainment elites in Hollywood and Manhattan. These liberals couldn´t see the flagrant hypocrisy surrounding their sentences as they unloaded their fear and loathing on television and Twitter. For example, notice the white male late-night comedians mocking Trump for naming a white male to the court. On ABC, Jimmy Kimmel joked Trump "narrowed his candidates down to three — but, in the end, Kavanaugh was the white man for the job." Stephen Colbert pulled a Bingo card from his pocket on CBS. "I

Judges Revive Catch-and-Release
For Migrants With Children

Administration officials are releasing thousands of migrants with young children into the United States, as required by judges, marking the return of catch-and-release policies for migrants with children. Migrants with children are being released with ankle monitors so they can be tracked by border officials. Officials admitted that the ankle-monitors do little to help enforcement officers find and repatriate the vast majority of the migrants who lose their asylum pleas, and that a large percentage of the first set of migrants’ children are not being reunified by their parents because of concerns about criminal activity. Also, some of those released parents reportedly

On July 10, Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) introduced the Zero Tolerance for Illegal Entry Act, which would make it a felony to cross the U.S border illegally and would mandate an E-Verify system for American employers to ensure that they are not hiring illegal immigrants. The law would make illegally crossing the border for the first time a felony instead of a misdemeanor and would up the penalty from six months or less to a year and a day or more. (The full text of Section 275 as it currently stands can be found here.) The proposed law would also mandate the

Prince Charles and Prince William reportedly ‘snubbed’ the US President during his visit to Britain - leaving the Queen to meet Donald Trump alone at Windsor Castle. The royal father and son apparently shared their desire to not take part in the arrangements during informal discussions regarding the president’s four-day tour. Trump’s trip was not a state visit and so only the Queen greeted the president and his wife Melania. However even on working trips dignitaries expect to see more members of the royal family than only the Queen. When deciding which royals to include in the meeting, senior courtiers shared concerns about

Saturday on MSNBC, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said President Donald Trump criticizes former President Barack Obama because “he’s jealous of Obama and his administration.” When asked about Trump tweeting that President Obama should have done more about Russian’s interfering in our elections, Waters said, “First of all, let me say this: If the president wrote out at some point and said the sky is falling and it is Obama’s fault, and everybody knows he likes to blame Obama for any and everything that he can come up with. And in addition to that, it is very clear that he’s jealous

Judge Brett Kavanaugh is going into the Supreme Court confirmation process with a hail of rhetorical arrows zinging by him, including a phony letter-writing campaign aimed at unsuspecting American newspaper editors. At least 21 papers were duped last week, including big-market brands like the Dallas Morning News and The Washington Times. They ran identical letters over a four-day period, each signed by a different person. The effort is an example of public-relations ´astroturfing,´ a technique meant to simulate genuine grassroots support for an idea or cause. The man who co-wrote “The Art of the Deal” said Sunday he believes President Trump’s faculties are diminishing — and that he feels obligated to sound the alarm. “We are in a true emergency,” Tony Schwartz said on CNN Sunday. “And the accelerated rate at which his breakdown or decompensation is occurring is cause for us, and certainly for me, to come on to TV more often, to tweet more often.” Schwartz told CNN’s Brian Stelter that he felt comfortable making that assessment because he had “spent an enormous time with [Trump] over a period of 18 months.”(snip)Stelter pointed out that Schwartz

Meghan Markle‘s smile is hiding fear, stress and the pressure of adjusting to her new royal duties, her father said in an interview published Sunday. “I think she is terrified,” Thomas Markle told The Sun. “I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile.” “I’ve seen her smile for years. San Francisco Mayor London Breed said the streets of her city are flooded with the excrement of the homeless in an interview Friday. Breed, a Democrat who was inaugurated as San Francisco’s mayor Wednesday, urged homeless advocacy groups that receive money from the city to teach homeless people to “clean up after themselves.” “There is more feces on the sidewalks than I’ve ever seen growing up here,” Breed told KNTV. “That is a huge problem and we are not just talking about from dogs — we’re talking about from humans.” The streets of San Francisco are littered with a “dangerous

Whether Democrats realize it or not, the names being tossed as potential 2020 challengers to President Trump are weak. It’s milquetoast. All far too left for the American voter, and all with rigid regional appeal. Who knows who Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is outside of New Jersey? The same could be said for Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) doesn’t resonate outside of the Boston suburbs. And Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), well, she’s working hard to boost her profile, but she’s running aground with the Bernie crowd. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) could run again, but his age—and the
