“Smarmy, Mendacious, Self-Aggrandizing
Claptrap”: The Right Wing Rolls Its
Eyes At Comey’s Tell-All

Vanity Fair, by Tina Nguyen

“What strikes me is how little new there is in the book,” Fox News veteran Chris Wallace, one of the network’s few resident Democrats, groused Friday morning. “We get a lot of opinions—very unpleasant opinions of the president by James Comey,” he continued, referring to the former F.B.I. director’s new tell-all, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership. But Wallace was himself taken aback to find Comey, the self-serious Reinhold Niebuhr scholar, so fixated on scoring petty points over Trump’s comparatively diminutive height and hand size. “The other thing that surprises me, frankly,” he added, “is how bitchy the book

Far left Tina weighs in with mini reviews from many sources. She is especially fascinated with those from the right. One - from Chris Buskirk of American Greatness - ended up in her headline. It begins “Smarmy, Mendacious….” Good work, Chris!

Should have tossed a “good work, Chris” to Wallace as well. He may have found the perfect word for Comey’s self-serving tome: “Bitchy”...

Chris Wallace is NOT my favorite interviewer. Probably one of my my least favorite. However I am surprised that he uses such strong language to describe the 6´8" bully and criminal that led the FBI for so many years.

I remember during the Senate hearings Sen Hirono of Hawaii "D" asked Comey if he was asked to pledge loyalty to Trump. Comey replied No and if that was requested he would have come out and let it be known. t , which is odd because now he is claiming Trump ked him to do so.

During a Senate hearing when Senator Hirono ´D´ Of Hawaii asked Comey did Trump demand for your loyalty? Comey said NO if he did ask for that I would come forward and let it be known. Now all of a sudden Comey is claiming this BS loyalty story.

Don´t know about you, but Vanity Fair is the FIRST place I turn for reasoned, experienced and serious political commentary.

Right after CNN, ABC and the Washington Post. But I´m thinking of moving them to the top of the list.

Especially if they have some hot models in new haute coutier fashion.

"The anti-Comey drumbeat—and the right’s attacks on U.S. intelligence agencies more broadly—could do irreparable damage to America’s political norms and institutions."

Now that´s funny.

The reason the Right is focusing on the "bitchy" comments is that, really, they are the only comments verifiable enough to comment on.

In print, under his name, we can reasonably say these are Comey´s opinions.

The rest of stuff? Eh.

The petty little giant shows his @itchiness and demonstrates with the book he was totally out of his depth when he became FBI director.
BTW, have a look at his always strange looking eyes. I guess it´s difficult to be straight forward when you are rummaging through the recesses of your mind which lie you are discussing at present and with whom.

At first glance saying: yesterday was a very good day, might sound like spin. However, for those who have been frustrated about the lack of righteous push-back from the executive office; the attacks from the former “spygate” co-conspirators might be just what is needed to trigger President Trump to declassify the underlying material. Consider the tweets from James Comey (former FBI), John Brennan (former CIA), Sally Yates (former DOJ), and statement from Ash Carter (former DoD).(Tweets) Think about the bigger questions: Why would former administration officials feel the need to engage in such discourse? What exactly does their response say about

Politics used to end at the nation´s shores. No more. Globalists slammed the president before, after, and while our duly elected president met with the leader of Russia. The National Guard´s deployment to the southwest border in mid-April has led to 10,805 "deportable alien arrests" of people who illegally entered the United States from Mexico, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman said Monday. Because guardsmen are military personnel and not law enforcement officers, they cannot apprehend illegal immigrants. But CBP officers and Border Patrol agents apprehended thousands of people that guardsmen helped point out.The National Guard´s presence also helped lead to the interception of more than 3,300 others who were turned back before they crossed into the U.S., CBP press secretary Corry Schiermeyer said in an email to

Ron Paul: ‘Trump Won’ in Summit with
Putin, ‘Neocons Aren’t Very Happy’
Breitbart Big Government, by John Binder    Original Article

Former Republican congressman and non-interventionist advocate Ron Paul praised President Trump’s summit in Helsinki, Finland with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he believes the president “won.” In comments after Trump and Putin wrapped up a press conference together, Paul said he was “delighted” to see the two power players speaking while noting that the interventionist wings of the Democratic and Republican parties — commonly referred to as “neoconservatives” — are outraged by the meeting. Paul said: I would say that this was significant diplomacy. It has to be that the neocons aren’t very happy because Trump sounded pretty reasonable. And

President Donald Trump scored a diplomatic win on Monday at his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland. The media, the Democrats, and the Never Trump contingent declared immediately that Trump had failed. But they were bitterly prejudiced against the meeting from the start, to the point where many insisted that Trump cancel it. To them, looking at the summit through the lens of “collusion,” the summit could only be the ultimate payoff for Putin’s election meddling in 2016. But viewed through the lens of diplomacy, the summit was a milestone in U.S.-Russia relations. Judging from their remarks at the press conference

New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist Ann Coulter says the establishment media, Republican Party, and Democrat reaction to President Donald Trump’s historic summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin is “exactly like” the hysteria that followed the president’s call for a travel ban from a handful of Muslim-majority countries. (Snip)Coulter told Howie Carr: This is exactly like the proposed Muslim ban day with just hysteria so far outpacing rationality. And Republicans joining in, I might add … Paul Ryan, John McCain… [Emphasis added] I would urge elected Republicans, if you have absolutely no sense of history or geopolitics which apparently

Former CIA Director John Brennan continued Tuesday to criticize President Trump’s performance at the Helsinki summit, saying Mr. Trump could have potentially risked intelligence capabilities during his private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the intel community might begin to withhold intelligence from Mr. Trump. In light of Mr. Trump’s comments about the intelligence community, Mr. Brennan said “there very well might be” a shift in the covert community to “withhold vital intelligence” in order to protect that information. “Dan Coats and Gina Haspel need to be on top of their game now and speak truth to power,” he

Reines was joined at the protest by current Hillary political adviser Adam Parkhomenko, who said Trump-hating porn star attorney Michael Avenatti would be at the White House to protest Tuesday night. Chicago may soon become the largest municipality in the U.S. to test a universal basic income program. Chicago alderman Ameya Pawar recently proposed legislation that would provide 1,000 families with a $500 monthly stipend -- no questions asked. The bill already has the backing of the majority of city lawmakers, and Pawar hopes to soon work with Mayor Rahm Emanuel to implement the pilot program, The Intercept reported. “Nearly 70 percent of Americans don’t have $1,000 in the bank for an emergency,” Pawar told the outlet. “UBI could be an incredible benefit for people who are working and are having

The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!” Cohen wrote on Twitter, using language suggestive of a military coup. Whether Democrats realize it or not, the names being tossed as potential 2020 challengers to President Trump are weak. It’s milquetoast. All far too left for the American voter, and all with rigid regional appeal. Who knows who Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is outside of New Jersey? The same could be said for Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) doesn’t resonate outside of the Boston suburbs. And Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), well, she’s working hard to boost her profile, but she’s running aground with the Bernie crowd. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) could run again, but his age—and the
