The Trials and Tribulations
of the Transgenders

American Thinker, by Peter Skurkiss

In today´s public dialogue, there´s a lot of talk back and forth over the transgender issue. And why not? Transgenderism has been made into a cause celebre by the cultural elite. Many, myself included, view this as part of the ongoing effort by the Left to separate America from God and tradition. For that reason, it is worthwhile to delve a little deeper into the issue than what is normally provided by what is claimed by transgender people themselves.

Transgenderism is a mental disease that gets the PC cover so some greaseball elected rep can squeeze a few votes out of it. In my opinion.,these are gay men who cannot come to terms with the usual gay sex act, therefore they become like women to justify it. I really pity these poor souls. I think surgeons who do these mutilating surgeries are on par with the German experiments in the 1930

A close member of my family is one of these poor souls. While I believe gender dysphoria is a mental disorder, there are some who think there is a causal relationship with fertility drugs that have become so prevalent in recent decades. This child´s conception, coincidentally, was aided by such drugs. I have no idea what causes it.

It´s become a cliché by now, but he felt like he was a girl from a very early age. His loving, Christian parents did all the right things, including getting him extensive therapy. They´ve told him that while they think this is a mistake and they will not condone or finance anything that would alter his body, they will always love and accept him no matter what he does.

This child is a young adult now and has done everything except the surgery. His situation is compounded by the fact that he has a conservative worldview, so he is alienated from just about all groups. But as his parents, what do you do? If your greatest fear is that your child will kill himself if he doesn’t do this drastic thing, yet you also believe it will end in suicide anyway once the new wears off and he realizes he’s still got the same insides, what…..do….you….do? Dismissing it as a mental disorder and saying the world’s gone crazy and these folks are playing God may all be true, but how does that help you deal with today in your own household?

Well said, #2. Sometimes it´s very easy to criticize such things until you see it first hand. I used to be critical of ADHD diagnoses (although not a diagnosis on par with transgenderism) until it hit my family twice. Now we see the pain it causes the patient and relatives.

It is a shame that the author is unfamiliar with the term "intersex" because it is a term which it is important to be familiar with in order to understand the discussion of "transgender".

The term "intersex" refers to a person, or animal, who is born with ambiguous sexual organs. Such an individual might be born with testes and no penis, maybe even with something resembling a vagina. Or they may be born with ovaries and a penis. How frequently this occurs depends on how broadly, or narrowly, one defines this. The most conservative estimate says that 0.018% of the population is intersex. Some more expansive definitions put the number at 0.1%.
The biological condition of being intersex is the origins of the idea of transgender.

Reading about what happened to the individuals in the article whose surgery went awry was scary in the extreme. Colostomy bags and catheters - I´d rather keep my own plumbing thank you.
I do know a man who identifies as a woman. I like him and I pray for him. He is a very troubled soul.

To the liberal progressive Democrats, so called Trangenders are just another identity based constituency group, from which they intend to squeeze as many votes as possible, by facilitating all sorts of gender altering medical treatment for them, especially if they can use government funds allocated for the Department of Defense to pay for that treatment, along with inventing as many new “rights” as possible to address Transgender “needs” to keep them on the liberal progressive political plantation.

Government tells me I am not capable of deciding whether or not to wear a seatbelt but is just fine with me deciding to mutilate myself. Government tells me I’m not capable of deciding whether or not to gamble unless of course the government is the bookie. Government tells me one day it’s just fine to snuff out the life of a baby but literally just days later government tells me what type of baby seat to being the baby home with.
Government says it’s ok for an adult man to expose himself to female children in government facility bath rooms and locker rooms in schools where government is responsible for the children’s safety but hauls the same guy off to jail and puts him on a sex offender list if that happens elsewhere, not under government control.

So the bottom line is, the surgery is rarely 100% successful and the underlying mental condition never disappears. How many of these people are given the truth before surgery?

Here´s a fact: No amount of surgery, cosmetics, lipstick, nail polish or wardrobe changes will make a man a woman or a woman a man. Aint gonna happen in our lifetimes.

I dont know what the solution is, but forcing society to conform to the trans-gendered isn´t the correct solution. We could perhaps be more sympathetic, but dont you dare call me a homophobe because I dont want to sleep with a man who thinks that he´s a girl.

During a lecture at the Library of Conservatism in Germany, British philosopher Sir Roger Scruton described conservatism as a philosophy that recognizes and acknowledges that good things are easily destroyed but not easily created, such as law, peace, freedom, civility, the security of property and family life. He contends we depend on the cooperation of others for the aforementioned to exist because we have no means or ability to single handedly attain it. He states “the work of destruction is quick, easy and exhilarating.” “The work of creation is slow, laborious and dull.” For the African American, the journey from captivity

In a more innocent time, a 1993 New Yorker cartoon showed one pooch saying to another, “On the internet, nobody knows you’re a dog.” Twenty-five years later, the days when people could stick a toe into the online world without compromising their privacy is a distant memory. Websites, e-services and apps have morphed into an interconnected leviathan that collects more private data than any but the most savvy among us suspects. As the federal government loses interest in our privacy, Illinois legislators should step up to protect us from incessant data mining and reselling.

Romney rips Trump tariffs:

Mitt Romney spoke out against "trade wars" on Friday after President Trump imposed tariffs on $34 billion of Chinese imports, prompting Beijing to respond with its own tariffs on U.S. goods. “Trade wars are a tax on Americans. They have severe consequences for many employers and inevitably cost Americans jobs,” the Utah GOP Senate hopeful said in a statement. Romney said trade wars are particularly punishing for agriculture, which is a sector in Utah the former GOP presidential contender said is “already under duress from wildfire, drought, and challenging public land policies.” “Our national objective should be to open new markets, negotiate free

For Kalena Bruce, a fifth-generation cattle farmer in Stockton, Missouri, finding affordable health coverage under Obamacare hasn’t been easy. She’s a young mom and business owner paying $700 a month in premiums alone, not to mention deductibles and copays. That’s why she’s become an advocate for allowing more small businesses like hers to bring down their health care costs by pooling together. It’s an idea that’s worked for Missouri businesses for more than 15 years and will now be available nationwide thanks to the Trump administration’s new rule expanding access to association health plans, or AHPs. Simply put, AHPs allow small businesses

At the heart of the effort to bring down President Trump were two affairs. Unlike the bizarre lies about Moscow hotel rooms and prostitutes in the Steele dossier that was used by the Clinton campaign and its allies to smear President Trump and generate an investigation against him, these affairs truly took place. And they didn’t just expose the malfeasance of four people, but of a corrupt political culture. The affairs between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page in the FBI, and between Senate Intelligence Committee security director James Wolfe and New York Times reporter Ali Watkins, did more than betray the spouses

Two former Ohio State University wrestlers are accusing Rep. Jim Jordan of ignoring sexual misconduct by a university physician more than two decades ago when he was an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State. There’s no claim that Jordan engaged in such misconduct, the claim is that he knew about, but failed to take action to stop, sexual harassment by a team doctor. Jordan denies knowing about the doctor’s misconduct. The question, then, isn’t what Jordan did; it’s what he knew. That’s usually a difficult kind of inquiry. In Jordan’s case, the two accusers are highly suspect. According to Chuck Ross at

Former CIA Director John Brennan continued Tuesday to criticize President Trump’s performance at the Helsinki summit, saying Mr. Trump could have potentially risked intelligence capabilities during his private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the intel community might begin to withhold intelligence from Mr. Trump. In light of Mr. Trump’s comments about the intelligence community, Mr. Brennan said “there very well might be” a shift in the covert community to “withhold vital intelligence” in order to protect that information. “Dan Coats and Gina Haspel need to be on top of their game now and speak truth to power,” he

Chicago may soon become the largest municipality in the U.S. to test a universal basic income program. Chicago alderman Ameya Pawar recently proposed legislation that would provide 1,000 families with a $500 monthly stipend -- no questions asked. The bill already has the backing of the majority of city lawmakers, and Pawar hopes to soon work with Mayor Rahm Emanuel to implement the pilot program, The Intercept reported. “Nearly 70 percent of Americans don’t have $1,000 in the bank for an emergency,” Pawar told the outlet. “UBI could be an incredible benefit for people who are working and are having
