Here´s What Your Children

My husband and I managed to raise six children on a very limited income, (as I was a stay at home Mom for 15 years), sending them to private Catholic schools for twelve years. Now we enjoy watching them do the same with our 13 grandchildren. What is disheartening, however, is how today´s children are being systematically exposed to issues we parents never had to contend with raising our own decades ago. Is it liberalism or just plain evil that´s taking away the innocence of childhood? Why on earth should kindergarten curricula include lessons on gender reassignments or anything to

I wonder how girls and young women will be affected when they discover that they aren´t as strong as boys and young men. Will they feel that there is something wrong with them when they can´t slam males to the floor at will like they see depicted in just about every action oriented cartoon, TV show, movie? Go ahead and try to find one without a 115lb woman or girl kicking the snot out of a 250lb muscle bound man.

And that tells the young men what about how to treat women? Go ahead and be rough they are stronger and more athletic than you?

Which of course doesn´t make it right that women´s athletics took such a back seat or no seat for so long.

Yes Leftists have an iron grip on our educational system at all levels, turning out good little leftists by the millions. Our MSM tries to keep them isolated from any ideas opposing Karl Marx. Soon I wouldn’t be surprised to see book burnings for any books having any truth in them (this would include bibles at the top of the list). Too bad few of them will ever learn what this value system brought to about 200 million people in the 20th century: an early death by starvation or violence.

About 10 yrs ago a child of a friend told his mother he could not eat eggs anymore because his teacher said that every egg had a chicken inside. I was shocked that a first grade teacher was telling children this.

A lot of parents are well aware of what their children are being taught, but unless they can afford Catholic/Private School or hoemschooling, there is not much they can do about it except attempt to reverse course at home.

Have you ever tried to challenge a school´s administration? A teacher? The School Board? They politely listen then explain all the reasons they are right and you are wrong. Continue the challenge and your child becomes a pariah because of the "problem" parent.

Been there, done that. Teachers are tenured and impossible to remove. PTA´s are comprised of go along get along people for fear of being ostracized in the same way. There is not an easy solution.

Just saying, a lot of parents are aware but not enough are willing to engage.

We made enormous sacrifices to afford private school. We refinanced several times, kids wore clothes from thrift shops and vacations were few and far between. We were lucky to have nuns help us weather the late tuition payments. Our children were the priority and today we help our grandchildren´s tuition payments. There are also options to make schools more affordable, like scholarship and work programs. I understand how difficult the costs are and it would have been so much easier if tax credits were allowed for private education. Hopefully this administration will do something to help parents.

Nails it. Unfortunately, when you are working full time to provide you can´t work full time to supervise. And I believe it IS a full time job. The ´right thinking´ teachers have more access to the kids than we do. I remember the Tim Arnold character in True Lies telling the lead that he and his wife were no longer the parents. The parents were (male rock idol) and Madonna.

And that was a true part of true lies.

For the interested, check out Regina Caeli at rcahyrbrid.org.

It´s a "classical hybrid education in the Catholic tradition" for those who want the control of homeschooling along with the social connectivity of learning in a classroom.

Basically, you homeschool your child part of the time; the rest of the time your child goes to a school of like-minded homeschooled children where you can be one of the teachers. Or not.

Regina Caeli programs aren´t everywhere. Yet. But they´re in a number of places across the country.

If you can´t afford a private school, and think you want to homeschool - check out Classical Conversations. PreK-12. Amazing, Christ-centered program done in community. EVERYONE who wants to CAN homeschool. And I say this as a former teacher with a Masters degree.

Pardon second post - but Alicia´s description of the schools is pretty grim. Our number one crisis indeed. But, do we see parents taking full ownership in it? Some are. Most are not. Many parents are just trying to get by financially. Many are divorced.

As parents, are we taking full ownership in our political process? Some are, most are not.

Did we distract ourselves or did a new world order divert our priorities? It´s up to us to fix this. Let´s roll before it is too late. Or is it already too late?

It´s time a society rise up and demand a return to the moral norms and standards of the 1950´s. Let the libertards whine about "Jim Crow Laws" and "Civil Liberties" all they want, as if that has ANYTHING to do with Biblical morality. The USA accomplished more great things in the 1950´s and 1960´s than almost any time in our history, and we did it with nearly 80% complete nuclear families, even among blacks, where it´s about 30% today.

Morality matters!

They have overplayed their hand and gone too far, so many people have opted for home school or private school.
If they were smarter they would have toned it down and kept their ignorant masses under their guidance.
They are the blinded and unhinged left, and they are pursuing the next generation!

Staten Island, N.Y. - How popular is President Donald Trump on Staten Island? So popular that he even tops the iconic Robert De Niro. At least as far as Great Kills resident Joseph DeVito is concerned. DeVito has become an Internet sensation after trashing a photo of De Niro in the wake of the actor´s foul-mouthed "F--k Trump" diatribe at the Tony Awards. That rant led DeVito, who calls De Niro his idol in the video, to take a framed picture of the actor from his wall, drop it in a trash can outside, and smash the picture glass with a hammer. He then tears the picture to pieces. "Another Trump-hater down," DeVito says, closing the lid on

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders hit back Wednesday night against a report that she was considering leaving her role, saying she “loves” her job and is “honored” to work with President Trump. Sanders was replying to an earlier CBS News report that both she and deputy press secretary Raj Shah have considered leaving their positions in the administration. “Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future,” Sanders asked in a tweet. “I was at my daughter’s year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my ‘plans to leave the WH’ without even talking to me.”

Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein is expected to brief President Trump on Thursday about the inspector general report on law enforcement’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe before it is released to the public, people familiar with the matter said. Capitol Hill staffers were told Tuesday that scheduling and logistical conflicts would make it necessary for the Justice Department to shift its planned Thursday morning briefing to the afternoon, according to people familiar with the congressional plans. The scheduling change was apparently made to accommodate the White House, though staffers were not told the precise reason, the people

Singapore - A historic handshake in front of US and North Korean flags, a solemn signing ceremony and back-slapping compliments: critics charge that US President Donald Trump has legitimised Kim Jong Un on the world stage. The photo opportunity the world was waiting to see -- the two leaders clasping hands -- has also been a goal of the Kim dynasty for decades. And analysts noted that Trump was treating as an equal a man who only a few months ago seemed to be tipping the world towards nuclear war and whose regime has been accused of horrendous human rights

The rumor mill is churning out the possibility that Cindy McCain will take over her husband´s Arizona Senate seat should he resign due to his terminal illness. I have always suspected that she was the reason behind her husband choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate in 2008. Now, of course, he´s made public remarks that he regretted choosing the former Alaska governor, overlooking the fact that she gave his presidential campaign a much needed boost. What many conservatives don´t realize is that Cindy is way smarter than her husband and a much better person.

Former first lady Laura Bush tore into the Trump administration for separating migrant families at the border, calling the “zero tolerance” policy “cruel” and “immoral.” Bush penned an op-ed for the Washington Post, which was published Sunday night as public outcry over the hundreds of children in detention centers intensified. “I live in a border state,” Bush wrote. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.” Bush’s commentary comes as more images and accounts from inside the detention centers have

Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the daughter character "Darlene," which would exclude Roseanne. Unfortunately, Roseanne Barr owns a chunk of the show, and ABC doesn´t want to be seen letting Barr profit from it, so ABC is in talks to buy the show from Barr so she would not technically profit
