Meghan McCain says Trump won´t attack
her father again, criticizes Ivanka Trump

Meghan McCain, a political pundit and the daughter of Arizona Sen. John McCain, says she doesn´t expect President Trump to criticize her father´s war service any time soon. McCain made the comments on Politico´s "Women Rule" podcast, where she detailed a phone conversation with the president that touched on his criticisms of her father. "[Mr. Trump] actually reached out to me and we had a very nice conversation and I feel comfortable going forward if he would say or do anything in the realm of talking about my father´s war injuries in that nature, I don´t think he would go

Comments:
Her father needs to retire and take care of his health, or report for duty. Sitting behind enemy lines and lobbing verbal grenades at Trump has gotten old.

If McCain was able, he would be out searching for a camera somewhere. He´s addicted to it like a junkie.
My guess is it wont be much longer. 40 years too late, but I´ll take it.

Perhaps President Trump is cognizant of the Senator´s advanced stages of brain cancer and is being polite toward the ill.

But I´m pretty sure that the President and his adult family members are able to fight their own battles.

The Senator should speak for himself instead of hiding behind his daughter. If he’s too ill to speak in public he is too ill to continue as a Senator.

Meghan derides Ivanka for not being ´a political person´? I would consider that a compliment.

More salient, though, is that Ivanka is orders of magnitude more authentically attractive than Meghan, who will forever regard her with contempt.

I heard Meghan say one day - on Fox on "Outnumbered" I think - that her college education was financed by the beer money -

that is, her mother paid for her college education, not her father -

she acts like we should be so reverential towards him -

sorry, Meghan -

Jeanine Pirro gave a glowing assessment of Donald Trump’s chances for 2020, saying that if the president decides to run for re-election, he would probably be unbeatable. “I have to tell you. I don’t think he can be beat right now. I think the left is so disorganized,” Pirro told TheWrap in an interview Tuesday, saying that she could not think of a single Democrat who could pose a credible threat to Trump in 2020. “They are just making fools of themselves. They protest and they are not even sure what they’re protesting,” she added. “If you say something that

The Pew Research Center asked Americans who they thought did the best job as president in their lifetime. The top pick: former President Barack Obama. Obama was the choice of 44 percent of the respondents in the poll, which was published Wednesday. Bill Clinton came in second with 33 percent and Ronald Reagan was third with 32 percent. Although not yet even halfway through his first term, President Donald Trump got 19 percent to place him in fourth place, ahead of both Bushes, John F. Kennedy and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. According to Pew, Obama got 20 percent at about the same

Christiane Amanpour and husband, Jamie Rubin, are calling it quits after 20 years of marriage. The Washington Post cited "a friend of the pair" that said the CNN host and her longtime partner are divorcing, though the split is "amicable" and "the two remain close friends." The couple wed in Rome in 1998 one year after meeting in Sarajevo, Bosnia, over "late-night margaritas." Amanpour, 60, and Rubin, 58, share an 18-year-old son, Darius. The Post reports that the host of CNN´s "Amanpour" -- and the network´s chief international correspondent -- currently lives in London, while Rubin recently moved to Washington,

Rosenstein Asks Prosecutors to Help

WASHINGTON — Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times on Wednesday. Mr. Rosenstein’s request was an unusual insertion of politics into federal law enforcement. While the Justice Department has helped work on previous Supreme Court nominations, department lawyers in Washington typically carry out that task, not prosecutors who pursue criminal investigations nationwide. But in an email sent this week to the nation’s 93 United States attorneys, Mr. Rosenstein asked each

A Democratic proposal to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement would shutter the agency, probe whether its agents had flouted international law, and create a special commission to rethink how the federal government handles asylum seekers and undocumented immigrants. The text of Rep. Mark Pocan´s "Abolish ICE" bill, obtained Tuesday by The Washington Post, was sent to House Democrats as they returned from the Fourth of July recess. The legislation, still being tweaked before release, is co-sponsored by Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., and Rep. Adriano Espaillat, D-N.Y., both of whom are immigrants. In an interview, Pocan, D-Wis., said the legislation would

Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement from the Supreme Court, and President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to succeed him, is the doomsday scenario liberals feared when Senate Republicans thwarted the appointment of Merrick Garland in 2016: The GOP’s brazen act of democratic sabotage will almost certainly deliver the high court to the far right for a generation. In the years ahead, the court will probably further erode reproductive rights, gay rights and voting rights, ushering in the darkest era in American history since the post-Reconstruction period. Sounds hysterical, right? After all, Democrats will get their chance at

Starbucks eliminating plastic straws from

NEW YORK — Starbucks is going strawless. The coffee company announced Monday that it will phase out plastic straws from all of its stores by 2020. The changes will help Starbucks eliminate more than 1 billion plastic straws per year, the company said. Plastic straws contribute to ocean pollution and pose a danger to marine life. Some governments have begun banning them. To eliminate straws, Starbucks is transitioning from the flat, plastic lids that require them, to ones that feature a raised lip you can drink from. The new designs have drawn comparisons to an adult “sippy cup.” (Snip) Frappuccino

Prince Charles and Prince William reportedly ‘snubbed’ the US President during his visit to Britain - leaving the Queen to meet Donald Trump alone at Windsor Castle. The royal father and son apparently shared their desire to not take part in the arrangements during informal discussions regarding the president’s four-day tour. Trump’s trip was not a state visit and so only the Queen greeted the president and his wife Melania. However even on working trips dignitaries expect to see more members of the royal family than only the Queen. When deciding which royals to include in the meeting, senior courtiers shared concerns about

The indictment Friday of 12 Russian military officers for the election hacks against the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign lends a surprising new detail to the 2016 election interference timeline: The Kremlin’s hackers apparently still maintained a foothold in the DNC’s network four months after the Democrats announced that they’d locked the intruders out. Until today, the story of the DNC hack ended promptly on June 14, 2016, when the Democrats went public with the intrusion in the pages of the Washington Post, and Crowdstrike, the security firm hired to respond to the breach, published a detailed technical account. Anyone who has ever been to a recycling plant is invariably surprised at how dirty and nasty America’s favorite green activity really is. Trucks dump the material on a long conveyor belt, where a few dozen people pick through by hand what is supposed to be recyclable material, but more and more often is just plain old dirty trash. The recyclables used to be worth something more than bragging rights about liberal moral superiority. Plastic bottles, newspapers, and cardboard, were just a few of the favorites you could ship to China by the ton and make a few bucks along the
