A new Pew Research Center survey of 38 countries found the United States has the most biased media in the Western world, according to readers and viewers. While the American press often blows off any complaints about its liberal bias as conservatives-cannot-take-bad news, the truth is they can. (Snip) From Pew Research: On the question of whether their news media cover political issues fairly, for example, partisan differences appear in 20 of the 38 countries surveyed. In five countries, the gap is at least 20 percentage points, with the largest by far in the U.S. at 34 percentage points. The next

The U.S. is #1 in corruption, #1 in lying, corrupt, unethical, unprofessional, unmannerly, ugly and unkempt, tyranical, violence agitators, vulgar, fraudulent, and socialist press. There are other adjectives for the U.S. press, all of them are negative.

It should be and always has. If you support free speech and the free exchange of ideas you encourage partisanship. All points of view are welcome, not just the state sponsored points. We have Rachel Maddow and Rush Limbaugh. Would you really want to be like Tunisia.

#2 has a great list of adjectives for the U.S. press, and I´ll add lazy, effete, petty, myopic, and pretentious.

Iran´s Rouhani warns Trump
about ´mother of all wars´

DUBAI - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday cautioned U.S. President Donald Trump about pursuing hostile policies against Tehran, saying “America should know ... war with Iran is the mother of all wars,” but he did not rule out peace between the two countries, either. Iran faces increased U.S. pressure and looming sanctions after Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from a 2015 international deal over Iran’s nuclear program. Addressing a gathering of Iranian diplomats, Rouhani said: “Mr Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret,” the state new agency IRNA reported. “America should know that

Hell hath no fury like a party scorned. A mounting eruption in one of the largest and bluest U.S. states is proof of it. Out in California, the Democrat establishment is launching its latest dose of venom against President Trump. It´s probably not for the reason you think. No government is more anti-Trump than that of California, which Governor Moonbeam Brown has arrogantly declared a "sanctuary state." What this means, in essence, is that several legislative statutes are now in place to thwart the activities of ICE in deporting illegal aliens who have committed additional crimes. Despite the growing pushback from numerous

Disney´s decision to fire director James Gunn over years of weird tweets drew the wrath of David French, a lawyer and National Review writer. But French cheered when Disney fired Roseanne Barr for one very bad tweet. For exactly one week, French ran for president against Donald Trump in 2016. On Friday, French opposed Disney´s firing of Gunn for years of creepy tweets mocking the Holocaust, 9/11, and child rape. Defending Gunn was a 180-degree turn from his position on Barr. In a column for the Washington Post -- "Barr´s vile, racist tweeting showed the way through the free speech minefield: The standard we ought

(Video)The early investigation into what caused a tour boat in Missouri to capsize Thursday, killing 17, has found that the vessel set out despite winds approaching hurricane force, according to a National Transportation Safety Board official. (Snip) The most alarming information gather by the NTSB seems to relate to the weather conditions at the time of the accident. Weener said that there were recorded anemometer readings of 73 mph. To put this in context, he said hurricane-force winds are thought to begin at about 75 mph. Based on recordings from witnesses, Weener also estimated that waves were around four feet,

Trump, Russia, and Manufactured Hysteria

It’s been a week filled with manufactured hysteria. After his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, President Trump was accused of denying American exceptionalism, implying moral equivalency, and insulting the U.S. intelligence community. Insofar as he did some of these things, doing so was predictable and prudent. But those things are also sacred cows for anyone who prescribes to a progressive foreign policy, so the talking heads in D.C. want people to go nuts. And they are willing to gaslight the country to make it happen. Trump’s Sin Against American Exceptionalism First, the president’s critics in Congress and

Isn’t it clear that President Trump really enjoys upsetting the people who claim to report the news? (Snip) Trump did it again this week when he said, “Obama took him [Vice President Joe Biden] out of the garbage heap, and everybody was shocked that he did.”If you recall, “everybody was shocked” gets it about right. At the time, many people considered to be in the know struggled to explain Barack Obama’s choice for a running mate in 2008.

The fervid and fetid attacks on President Trump and the American people who elected him took another strange turn this week when our attackers wet themselves crying treason because President Trump was diplomatic with Putin. Jeff Flake, easily the most unpopular member of the Senate, said President Trump was treasonous "by giving aid and comfort to an enemy of democracy." Enemy? When did Flake and his colleagues in the Senate and House declare war on Russia? This no longer is rhetoric. This is inflammatory language aimed at generating a violent uprising. Calls of treason are inaccurate but calculated to create an atmosphere openly hostile

A wave of nostalgia appears to have swept the nation, with the swinging sixties creeping back into fashion. Hawaiian shirts, traditional barbershops and vintage buys are all making a comeback, and with it, retro scents. The Perfume Shop has reported a 35 per cent yearly increase in the sales of traditional fragrances made famous in the 1960s. Surprisingly, the fragrance specialists say millennials are driving the craze, along with the trend of adopting a sixties lifestyle. An expert for the brand explained the sixties could be defined by the prominence in scents with lavender, tobacco and sandalwood notes, moving away from

But some were more thoughtful than others, with speculation on what really might be happening.

New York –Twice-failed presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton spoke at Ozyfest, a two-day festival in Central Park, on Saturday and she looked terrible. Hillary donned a mumu-style top that nearly touched the floor and white pants. Her hair was disheveled and she had very prominent bags under her eyes. To think this woman almost became the 45th president of the US….Hillary Clinton complained about Russia and Vladimir Putin for almost 45 minutes straight during a Q&A session with Laurene Powell Jobs, founder of Emerson Collection. One disastrous tweet has finally revealed Elon Musk for what he is: a fraud. Enraged that a British cave diver called his idea to rescue the Thai soccer team for what it was — “a p.r. stunt [with] absolutely no chance of working” — Musk took to Twitter and called him a “pedo.” Just like that, Tesla’s market value plummeted by $2 billion. Musk has been in business since 2002. His stated goal is nothing short of transforming humanity through his products: his electric cars, space travel, and an underground high-speed Hyperloop system. He has yet to succeed at anything but somehow spins every

Nearly two years ago, I moved with my daughter, who was then 7, from Yonkers to a small town in Pennsylvania. It’s minutes outside of New Jersey, but right in the heart of Donald Trump’s America. Sixty-one percent of the people in my county voted for him. Drive through most communities in my town and you’ll still see large blue Trump campaign signs on perfectly manicured lawns. Chances are, you’ll spot at least two newer-model pickup trucks with Confederate flag license plate frames. As I, a black woman, move through my daily routine, I exchange nonverbal social pleasantries with my neighbors

CLEARWATER — Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced Friday that his agency will not arrest a man deputies say shot and killed another man during an argument over a handicap parking space. The incident falls under Florida’s self-defense law known as "stand your ground," the sheriff said during a news conference. The law gives immunity to those in fear of their lives who use force to defend themselves. The shooting "is within the bookends of ‘stand your ground’ and within the bookends of force being justified," the sheriff said, later adding, "I’m not saying I agree with it, but I don’t make
