New Castle police have confirmed a fire at the Clintons´ home in Chappaqua. Police declined to give further details on the fire at 15 Old House Lane where Bill and Hillary Clinton have lived for nearly 20 years after buying it for $1.7 million in 1999. But scanner reports said it was a bedroom fire and has been extinguished. The house, built in 1889, features five bedrooms over 5,232 square feet and a pool on its 1.1 acres. In fall 2016, the former president and past presidential hopeful bought the

Comments:
Did the Clinton cleaning staff cause the fire? You know who I´m talking about -- the same staff who dusted off the servers in the basement. What are they trying to hide now?

Bubba the Horndog fell asleep smoking a cigar next to an intern, maybe?

(Or not. The last few times he´s appeared in public, he´s looked pretty frail... just a shadow of his former hedonistic self.)

When you have to burn as many FBI files as they do, they probably shouldn´t do it in the living room.

The house they bought in 1999? Actually (as I read years ago) McAuliffe, former governor of Virginia, but in 1999 only a successful crook, made the "purchase" possible.

The USA Today might be getting a nasty "email" from the Clinton´s for posting their street address.

Everything was saved. Except those boxes marked "Clinton Foundation Financial Records" in the basement. Next to the gas cans and other flammable household chemicals.

You keep burning paper all day, the chimney gets very hot and can ignite encrusted sap/creosote.
Makes for a nasty chimney fire, sounds like a jet engine.
If you´re lucky it cleans the chimney - if not you get cracked tiles, and possibility of a house fire.

Former Director of Intelligence James Clapper said Thursday night on CNN that it was “a good thing” there was an FBI informant spying on the Trump campaign. Clapper admitted the FBI “may have had someone who was talking to them in the campaign,” referring to President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. He explained away the possibility of an FBI informant spying on the campaign as the bureau was trying to find out “what the Russians were doing to try to substantiate themselves in the campaign or influence or leverage it.” Obama’s Director of National Intelligence then went on to say, “So,

Donald Trump has stayed uncharacteristically quiet on Twitter without posting a single tweet about the royal wedding. The President, who is usually especially active on the social media network early in the day, did not tweet anything all morning about the nuptials between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which ended at 9.00am ET. Rumors swirled about whether Trump would be invited to the wedding at Windsor Castle in Berkshire, but he was eventually left off the guest list, along with other political leaders. Prominent figures who made the cut included Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney and the Beckhams. Other A-listers including Idris

The civil war between the Fox News Channel news and opinion sides appears to be hardening with chief political anchor Bret Baier having joined the fray. On Thursday May 17, Baier, a 20-year high-profile veteran of Fox News, entered the lion’s den – one of the hearts of the anti-Trump Resistance – when he went on the ABC Television Network daytime women’s chat show The View. His guest shot in “enemy territory” was a prominent stop on the media tour to promote his new book on Reagan and Gorbachev, Three Days in Moscow. The man who is sixth in line to be king of Great Britain is getting married today and America has lost its mind. What does it mean to be sixth in the line of royal succession to an office that depends solely and exclusively on who your father is? It means that five family members have to die before you get the real goodies. Granted, those goodies are amazing. Who wouldn´t want to live in a thousand year old castle (too bad it´s in Scotland) or have dozens of "servants" cater to your every whim and need? But that lifestyle depends on people believing that you are deserving of such wealth and privilege because you happened to be

Boston — Black students at Harvard University are organizing a graduation ceremony of their own this year to recognize the achievements of black students and faculty members some say have been overlooked. More than 700 students and guests are registered to attend Harvard´s first Black Commencement, which will take place two days before the school´s traditional graduation events. (Snip) Every student will receive a stole made of traditional African kente cloth, meant to symbolize their shared heritage and to be worn with their cap and gown at the university´s graduation. Students have raised $35,000 for the event, mostly from schools within the university.

John McCain always said he’d go down fighting, and so he has, dickering from his deathbed over CIA nominee Gina Haspel and pre-emptively disinviting President Donald Trump from his funeral, then leaving as a legacy some fierce final words for the leader of his party, who is now a political enemy. All Trump displays is “a reality-show facsimile of toughness,” the six-term Arizona senator and former GOP presidential candidate, who for a generation of Washington politicians has defined genuine toughness, writes in his forthcoming memoir. The irony of McCain’s curtain-closing contretemps with the president is that it is clearly
