Winter crisis cripples the NHS: Up to
55,000 operations are postponed,
patients are to be put on mixed wards

Hospitals were last night ordered to cancel thousands of operations to try to tackle a winter health crisis. In an unprecedented move, NHS chiefs demanded radical action to free up beds and medical staff. Casualty units are under ´extreme and sustained´ pressure with flu cases on the rise. Up to 55,000 non-urgent operations will be postponed until February, along with thousands of outpatient appointments and scans. (Snip) Two NHS bosses said the pressures were the worst in 30 years with one doctor apologising for ´Third World´ conditions. The first week of January is always busy with patients coming in with flu

Import the tax-consuming Third World to the UK, give them access to "free" health care, then wonder why there´s a shortage of medical services.

´Medicare for all´ is a frequently-seen bumper sticker these days.

Well, the NHS is the real-world implementation of Medicare for all. And it is a predictable disaster.

How socialist.

This is what the left wants for all of us.
Of course they will go to private doctors and hospitals themselves.

I would not be surprised if a good number of the ill are from other countries with refugee status like Syria and N. Africa where midieval (sp?) illnesses are returning. UK and Europe sown their seeds by allowing millions of 10th World dregs enter their countries. It is already happening here in the US.

Fired FBI Director James Comey refused to appear before Congress on Monday to talk about his handling of the Clinton email investigation, and his fired deputy, Andrew McCabe, asserted his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch also declined to show up for a major hearing where the Senate Judiciary Committee was looking into the inspector general’s report detailing major bungles in Mr. Comey’s handling of the Clinton investigation. Mr. Comey’s lawyer said he was out of the country — though Sen. Charles E. Grassley, committee chairman, said he saw Mr. Comey

President Donald Trump defended his strict immigration policy that is resulting in the separation of children from their parents at the border, declaring that he won’t allow the United States to become a “migrant camp.” “The United States will not be a migrant camp, and it will not be a refugee holding facility,” he said during a meeting of the National Space Council at the White House on Monday. “You look at what’s happening in Europe and other places, we can’t allow that to happen to the United States. Not on my watch.” He also continued to blame Democrats for the “zero tolerance” policy announced by

The long knives (and brass knuckles) are clearly out for EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. We wrote weeks ago about the organized Left’s attacks on President Trump’s most effective and influential cabinet secretary. His efforts in rolling back job-killing regulations have been a prime force in driving the Trump economy and the media and Democrats can’t stand it. (Snip) The most volatile and damning allegation was that Pruitt used his position as Trump’s man at EPA to twist arms at the University of Virginia Law School to get his daughter admitted. The implication is clear. That Pruitt’s daughter was admitted despite her

A newly retired Muslim professor at the University of Connecticut was caught on camera last year ordering students to remove their shoes and praise Allah before entering his office. Felix Coe, a former professor of biology at the public university, was seen berating a female student for not removing her shoes before addressing him in his office, according to a video posted last week by Jihad Watch. “Take your shoes off,” Mr. Coe barked at the student. “Why?” she asked. “Then get the hell out of here. I don’t want to see you,” Mr. Coe responded. “I am a Muslim,” he later

Ten people who’d been arrested on murder charges were nonetheless granted permission to remain and work in the U.S. under the Obama-era DACA amnesty, according to new government data released Monday. Thirty-one “Dreamers” had rape charges on their records, nearly 500 had been accused of sex crimes, and more than 2,000 had been arrested for drunken driving — yet were approved for DACA status. All told, 53,000 people who have been approved for DACA — 7 percent of the total — had a criminal record when the government granted them status. Nearly 8,000 racked up criminal charges after they’d been

Nashville, TN - A woman confronted by a gunman right in front of her west Nashville home shared her terrifying story in hopes it will help protect others. The victim asked not to be identified. “It was a bright sunny day. I wasn´t expecting it,” she said. The attack happened Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. “On video you can see the four teens walking down the street, and then you can´t see the attack, but you can hear the screams and the alarm going off.” The attack took place while she was unloading items from her car, right in front of her house near

Mountain View, Calif. — At a divisive time for U.S. immigration policies, a California school board has decided to name a new elementary school after an award-winning journalist who disclosed in 2011 that he had been living in the U.S. illegally. The Mountain View Whisman School District board voted Thursday to name the as-yet-unopened school after Jose Antonio Vargas, bypassing Steve Jobs and other technology giants with ties to the San Francisco Bay Area’s high-tech Silicon Valley. “We wanted to pick someone who embodied the values of what you can do with an education, as Jose does

Former first lady Laura Bush tore into the Trump administration for separating migrant families at the border, calling the “zero tolerance” policy “cruel” and “immoral.” Bush penned an op-ed for the Washington Post, which was published Sunday night as public outcry over the hundreds of children in detention centers intensified. “I live in a border state,” Bush wrote. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.” Bush’s commentary comes as more images and accounts from inside the detention centers have

Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the daughter character "Darlene," which would exclude Roseanne. Unfortunately, Roseanne Barr owns a chunk of the show, and ABC doesn´t want to be seen letting Barr profit from it, so ABC is in talks to buy the show from Barr so she would not technically profit

The Justice Department’s tepid OIG report, with its risible assertion that there was no political bias in the FBI’s Clinton email probe, suggests that it was written by people afraid to tell the unvarnished truth about the conduct of the federal government’s police apparatus, an agency that openly defies congressional oversight and has participated in a vendetta against a sitting president. The FBI’s leadership clearly hopes that the Democrats will win majorities in Congress and put a halt to the investigations into its multifarious abuses of power. The OIG is loath to face the ruthless reprisals that would inevitably follow

The president of Harvard´s teaching hospital got to thinking one day and decided there were too many portraits of white male doctors hung in a popular amphitheater. She bemoaned the horrible situation that people walking into the amphitheater didn´t feel like they "belonged." The problem cried out for a solution. So she moved several portraits of prominent white doctors in order to be more diverse and inclusive. Problem solved? Campus Reform: The hospital’s president, Dr. Betsy Nabel, told the Globe that moving the portraits is the right decision: “I have watched the faces of individuals as they have come into Bornstein.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- An Indiana hospital for the Department of Veterans Affairs temporarily removed its military flags to put up an LGBT pride flag Tuesday. Some veterans in Fort Wayne, Indiana arrived at the VA hospital Tuesday morning and noticed all the military flags had been removed. On one of the flagpoles was a rainbow flag, in honor of LGBT pride month, WPTA in Fort Wayne reported. Some people in the area questioned the VA´s decision. "It´s certainly worth recognizing the veterans who are from that community who have served," Jarrod Schwartz, a veteran, said. "It´s a little odd,

Bill Maher suggested there should be a movement for people who have been victims of police brutality after a discussion on his show about police brutality. During a segment on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher, Maher called out abusive police officers and the people who protect him on Friday. “We need to stop saying most cops are good like we know that to be true,” Maher said. “I hope it’s true, but I need some evidence, unlike cops.” The HBO show host continued and said the violence exposed by the people who post the videos on social media is a problem. He questioned the kindness of police and questioned why there are
