Jay Kaganoff, writing in the Washington Post says: “Fellow conservatives, it’s time to call on Clarence Thomas to resign.” No it isn’t. The controversy over Anita Hill’s allegations against Justice Thomas has nothing material in common with the cases of Al Franken, John Conyers, or Roy Moore. First, Thomas categorically denied Hill’s allegations. Franken admits to some of the allegations against him. Moore admitted, at least initially, that he dated one or more of the girls in question and doesn’t deny that some of the handwriting in Beverly Nelson’s yearbook is his. Second, Hill’s case was classic “he said, she said.” No

Anita Hill was a Democrat trick pony. With hole through out her story At the end of the hearings Joe Biden said Thomas was truthful. Drats were attempting a second Bork.

Dead Ted Kennedy was the moving force to smear Justice Thomas enough to remove him from the nomination process. That would be the same Kennedy who murdered Mary Jo Kopechne.
Biden, a serial groper in his own right, was Dead Ted Kennedy´s facilitator.
Justice Thomas is a national treasure.

Any one considering Hill to be truthful should read David Brock´s "The Real Anita Hill". He wrote it back in the day when he was an honest man and not a pliable shill for current boyfriends.

Jay, there was a full hearing at the time on this issue, you don´t get to re-litigate things in your own little air tight vacuum.

Time for some push back on this game. If someone has been ´sexually harrassed´ and they are too much of a cupcake to put the man in his place then get help. If someone has been assaulted then by all means press charges or, if you are in Hollywood or the government, collect your money. Please do not run to the cameras 20 or 30 years later expecting everyone to automatically believe your story.

There is only one problem with this article. It assumes that there is a strong case against Roy Moore. There is not. There is not even consistency in the accusations against him (three of the women allege that he acted the perfect gentleman despite being in his 30s when dating them when they were 17. A fourth contends that he was a sexual predator).

The article is an insightful review of the facts but the conclusion of "it’s not sufficient reason for Clarence Thomas to resign" is woefully tepid.

Men AND women who work together talk about all sorts of things, including sex. They also ask each other for dates. Thomas was separated from his wife at the time. As the article states, Hill declined his advances and there were no apparent consequences for doing so. She followed him to his next job so she can´t have felt that upset about his behavior.

What this is reduced to is racy talk between coworkers. Maybe it exceeded what Hill accepted as "allowable" topics but she suffered no repercussions due to it. Even IF it happened, are we to judge and punish people for private conversations that slip across a personal line set by one of the parties. My God, of that´s so I am offended monthly by someone and I am sure I offended a few people now and then in turn. Right now all you have to do is say "Trump" to some people and they feel threatened.

This is absurd.

Adults should be able to speak with each other and deal with subjects that make them feel somewhat uncomfortable. Only if it impacts the working environment should it be a problem. Then the person offended should say, "Please don´t talk about XXX, it offends me.". If the offender persists, go to HR about it. Hill did none of this.

Thomas denies it happened.

The garbage coming in from Leftists is that ANY insult or offense requires a nuclear response. I have met and worked with many obnoxious women. Should they have been forced forced to resign?

Anita never accused Thomas of harassing her. When pressured to call it such, she threw it back at the committee and said it was up the them to determine if it was sexual harassment.

Further, Anita visited Thomas´ office uninvited numerous times after this incident of words. She never admitted that she was offended or that his comment even bothered her.

The entire interrogation was a crock from beginning to end. The Damnocrats had been successful "borking" Bork and thought they could do it again.

They lost! QED

Hill was lying. She may have been harassed, but not by Thomas. The timeline she shared with that ditz "workers´ comp judge" who blew the whistle was off. Nina Totenberg and that sleazeball Metzenbaum aide pushed her too far into the limelight to back out.

Democratic leaders aren’t going to shut down the government to save Dreamers in December. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi haven’t stopped fighting to deliver something on immigration by the end of the month. But they’ve subtly shifted their rhetoric in recent days and aren’t insisting that deportation relief be paired with a government funding bill this year. Top Democrats’ retreat from demands on a deal before 2018 ensures they won’t get blamed for a possible shutdown and won’t upend Senate talks on a bipartisan deal combining relief for Dreamers with border security. Those negotiations appear

Political elites on both sides of the Atlantic are still frothing over President Donald Trump’s retweeting of three videos recording Muslims acting badly. The videos originated with a reviled British organization, Britain First, deemed a hate group by the British establishment for linking Britain’s high levels of Muslim immigration to incidents of Islamic terrorism. (Snip)The fury that Trump’s tweets have inspired is hard to square with cable news’ predilection for running endless repeats of videos showing police-officer use of force against civilians. If the media ever provided “context” for those videos, it passed by too fast for the eye to

WASHINGTON — Senior F.B.I. officials who helped investigate Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign last year wrote in text messages that Hillary Clinton “just has to win” and described a potential Trump victory as “terrifying,” according to texts released Tuesday night. A top counterintelligence agent, Peter Strzok, exchanged the messages with Lisa Page, a senior F.B.I. lawyer. Some messages criticized Mrs. Clinton’s team, the Obama administration, Congress and other Democrats. But the two appeared appalled at some of Mr. Trump’s comments during the campaign and feared that he would politicize the F.B.I. For example, after Mr. Trump made an apparent sexual allusion related

On Tuesday, Democrat Doug Jones pulled off a stunning victory over Republican Roy Moore in Alabama. The race went down to the wire, but the Democrat prevailed. Here are five things to know about why Jones won, why Moore lost, and what it means for the future of the U.S. Senate and both parties. 1. Character matters. According to NBC News exit polls, 49 percent of Alabama voters thought the sexual assault accusations against Roy Moore were "definitely" or "probably" true. Republicans and Democrats split on partisan lines — a whopping 82 percent of Republicans said the allegations were "probably" or "definitely" false,

A former employee of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is calling for an investigation after accusing managers of falsifying documents to impose fines on a payday lender. Cassandra Jackson, a former CFPB examiner in the southeast division, sent a letter last week to Attorney General Jeff Sessions also accusing managers of "widespread racism and gender discrimination." Jackson said her superiors at the CFPB asked her to falsify documents during her investigation into a Texas-based payday lending company, Ace Cash Express. "During the course of this examination, I was asked to change, remove, and otherwise falsify documents connected with this examination," Jackson said. Jackson said

Bannon´s ´kingmaker´ status
tarnished by Moore defeat

"There´s a special place in hell for Republicans who should know better,” former senior White House adviser Steve Bannon said on the eve of Alabama´s U.S. Senate election, as he went all-in for embattled Republican candidate Roy Moore. The next day, voting results showed Democrat Doug Jones to be the victor in the deep-red state, making him the first non-Republican to win a U.S. Senate seat there in more than two decades -- although Moore has not conceded. If Jones´ victory stands, it would tarnish the supposed “kingmaker” status Bannon enjoyed since Moore triumphed in the Republican primary over an establishment-backed candidate.

"Mr. Trump continues to exhibit paranoia about American intelligence agencies," wrote the NeverTrump conservative Max Boot in the New York Times a week or so before the president took office. "Consumed by his paranoia about the deep state, Donald Trump has disappeared into the fog of his own conspiracy theories," declared the Times´ Maureen Dowd. "Paranoia seizes Trump´s White House," reported Politico, noting the suspicion that "career intelligence operatives are working to undermine the new president." Actually, they were. "It´s no mystery why Trump doesn´t trust U.S. intelligence agencies," Bloomberg´s Eli Lake wrote last month. "As the old saying goes:
