A former “Jeopardy!” winner -- and one-time record holder -- has been charged with two felony counts after an intensive investigation into alleged cyber crimes. Stephanie Jass, 47, appeared in Lenawee County court in Michigan on Tuesday to face charges of unauthorized access to a computer and using a computer to commit a crime. According to The Daily Telegram of Adrian, the first charge alone carries with it a potential penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The former game show champ allegedly accessed email accounts of co-workers at Adrian College, where she used to work. Representatives for the

Being educated (Jeopardy winners have described how they crammed in order to be chosen to appear and then to win) doesn’t rule out being crooked.

Now, now.... Stephanie didn´t break any laws when she accessed those emails . She was just ´extremely careless´ and should be given a bonus of $10,000 .

If I remember correctly, her husband also was a contestant. I don’t recall if he was a winner. Don’t remember his name.

I remember her. The article doesn´t provide much detail on why she has been charged. It sounds like she was just snooping.

Trump on Losing Alabama Race: Win is a Win

President Donald Trump strongly backed Republican Roy Moore to win the U.S. Senate seat in Alabama vacated earlier this year by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Tonight in a special election, Moore lost that race to Doug Jones, who is the first Democrat to be elected to the Senate since 1992. Trump issued a congratulatory response to Jones´ victory on Twitter late Tuesday night. Donald J. Trump ? @realDonaldTrump Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at

I might as well get into the “hot take” game. Democrats and their media echo chamber will openly celebrate Doug Jones’s narrow win in Alabama, but inside I’ll bet they are actually disappointed. There is little chance they can hold this seat in 2020 (unless Republicans nominate Roy Moore again). Meanwhile, Jones deprives them of their favorite talking point that Republicans are all drooling knuckle-dragging morons. Worse, it means Al Franken will likely have to go through with his resignation after all. I’d bet money that a polygraph examination would reveal that Franken was secretly hoping for a Moore victory.

Democratic representative Bobby Rush is being sued for $1 million after failing to make payments on a loan he received for a church he founded in his home district in Illinois. A wellness center linked to the church has also collected more than $2.6 million in taxpayer-funded government grants in 2017 and more than $17 million in grants since 2008, according to records. Rush founded the Beloved Community Christian Church, a nondenominational Christian church, in Chicago in 2002 with the intent of helping disadvantaged people in his community. That was some resignation, the Al Franken speech at the Senate the other day. As he spoke, all we heard was “I didn’t do nothin’ — and, besides, you can’t prove it!” Some of the accusers, he asserted, were outright liars. As for the others — in so many words, it came down to: “Well, they say I grabbed them by the tush and squeezed as tightly as their available epidermis and subcutaneous adipose tissue allowed, or stuck my probing tongue into their mouths and swirled it around inside, saliva and all, like finishing off the last drippings of a

About 10 years ago, at the after-party for a wine auction in New Orleans, a woman in her 20s walked up to Mario Batali to introduce herself. As a chef, she was excited to meet one of the most revered figures in the restaurant industry. When they started talking, she recalls, she realized that he’d been drinking and he became what she characterized as “creepy” — “just giving me this provocative, icky feeling.” Minutes into their conversation, she recalls, he told her, “Come work for me, I’ll pay you double what you’re making.” Moments later, someone bumped her glass, spilling wine

Have you noticed that if you fail to do, think, and vote exactly the way that the liberals and their Fredocon minions demand, you’re a racist, sexist, homophobic, child molesting, greedy, NRA terrorist determined to murder kids? Yeah, you probably have. And you’ve probably also realized that if you do everything that the liberals and their Never Trump minions demand, you’re still a racist, sexist, homophobic, child molesting, greedy, NRA terrorist determined to murder kids. When you understand that, you’re on your way to being conservative woke. And when you’re conservative woke, you’re ready to deploy the most powerful non-bullet

ABOARD A MILITARY AIRCRAFT — With the State Department in upheaval, and the president focused on "America First" domestic concerns, what diplomacy and foreign policy the White House is successfully exercising have fallen more and more to one man, retired Marine Gen. James Mattis. During a just concluded tour of Pakistan, Egypt, Kuwait, and Jordan, the Defense secretary sounded much more like the country´s chief diplomat than its top soldier. When talking to reporters during his trip, he stressed that U.S. foreign policy is not "myopically military only." He repeatedly used phrases like "rebuilding trust," "de-escalating tensions," "continued dialogue," "objectives of reconciliation,"

DEVELOPING…Democrat Doug Jones has defeated Roy Moore in Alabama’s Senate election, according to a projection from the Fox News Decision Desk.ORIGINAL STORY…The hard-fought Alabama Senate race between Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones remains too close to call, though a Fox News voter analysis shows the Democratic nominee enjoying a lead over his GOP rival. Jones’ competitiveness is a remarkable development in a deep red state that reflects just how badly Moore has been hurt by a sex scandal. But the race is still fluid. With 87 percent of precincts reporting, Jones and Moore both had 49.2 percent, according to

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-host Mika Brzezinski argued President Trump’s tweet about Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) constitutes sexual harassment and that people who work around the president and don’t try to get him to delete the tweet don’t care about the country or women. Brzezinski said, “I just want to say something, beyond the fact that it is reprehensible that the president of the United States would say something so derogatory and disgusting about a woman, we’re not surprised, Mr. President. You do it all the time. You treat women terribly, and you treat the women around

President Trump attacked Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) in a sexually suggestive tweet Tuesday morning that implied Gillibrand would do just about anything for money, prompting a swift and immediate backlash. “Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Charles E. Schumer and someone who would come to my office ´begging´ for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump,” the president wrote. “Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!”

On Monday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour President Donald Trump should resign over the sexual misconduct allegations against him. Gillibrand said, “President Trump should resign. These allegations are credible, they are numerous. I’ve heard these women’s testimony, and many of them are heartbreaking. And President Trump should resign his position.” She added, “Whether he will ever hold himself accountable is something you really can’t hold your breath for. And so, Congress should have hearings. They should do their investigation. They should have appropriate investigations of his behavior and hold him accountable.”

Franken announced last Thursday that he would be resigning “in the coming weeks” after eight different women accused him of groping or forcibly kissing them. “The timing of Franken’s resignation remains unclear, as is his motive in delaying it,” New York Magazine’s Ed Kilgore noted at the time. Franken has yet to offer any more specificity about when he’s going to follow through in resigning. Franken’s office did not return multiple requests for comment on the subject. Franken begrudgingly offered his resignation after 35 Democratic senators called on him to do so, three weeks after he was first accused

A supposed "rising star" at the State Department has resigned in anger over President Trump´s and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson´s policies. Elizabeth Shackelford gave her resignation letter to the left-leaning Foreign Policy magazine, which was, of course, all too happy to publish it. Shackelford´s letter says she believes the new administration has abandoned human rights as a priority, and shows disdain for the State Department´s diplomatic work. "I have deep respect for the career Foreign and Civil Service staff who, despite the stinging disrespect this Administration has shown our profession, continue the struggle to keep our foreign policy on the positive
