Multiple outlets are now reporting that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has asked top prosecutors in the Justice Department to evaluate whether a special counsel is needed to investigate the 2010 Uranium One deal and the Clinton Foundation. This comes after conservative media has been hyper-focused on the story and President Donald Trump has stated that he was frustrated that the DOJ wasn’t looking into former Secretary of State — and his 2016 presidential election rival — Hillary Clinton.
PDT has to: A. Ask Sessions to end his foolish recusal from all things Russian and state a formal criminal investigation of the Clintons and the Obama regime. This is critical to restoring the public´s trust in the FBI and DoJ. If Sessions refuses to end his recusal, ask for his immediate resignation along with those of Rosenstein and McCabe of the FBI. B. Go a national TV for 15 minutes to say that while "I won´t end the Mueller madness, I will ask him if he is aware that Hilllary paid for the fake Dossier that is driving his endless and fruitless investigation of me. And, I want to have Mr Mueller explain why he hid the bribes to SofS Clinton from the Russians in order to complete the Uranium One theft?"
As an aside, does anyone know the name of Trump´s FBI Director? He´s even less visible than Sessions.
Didn´t both Bill and Hill sign off the Foundation and left Chelsea as President and CEO in 2015, then when the heat got on, they shifted that position to Donna Shalala? So, if Jeffry gets a SC to go for just the Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, the Clintons will be in a non-position of responsibility. Donna would do herself a favor right now by resigning. The Corp has plenty of little stooges who would be only too glad to take one for the team. 220 million in revenue in 2015- I wonder what it is down to now since the "gifters" know the Hag is political toast and Billy has his own "Rape Ghosts" following him around in the Weinstein era?
I have seen no LEGITIMATE news outlets reporting this, but even if true what´s with the "considering", "evaluating", the "looking at" when there is more than enough evidence to proceed? The President should get rid of Sessions and appoint Larry the Cable Guy as Attorney General because America needs somebody who can "Git ´er done". Jeff Sessions is not that guy.
They had no problem appointing a special counsel to investigate NOTHING for a year but now they are debating whether a special council is necessary to investigate obvious criminal activity RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR EYES. How can you take people like this seriously?
Someone must have seen Sessions with his moistened index finger in the air. It takes character to investigate when the subject is wholly unpopular with the press. In fortunately I don´t see much in the DOJ
Sessions has asked top prosecutors in the DOJ to see if an investigation is necessary? Are these the same Obama-appointed holdovers? Isn’t this just like AG Lynch asking Comey whether Hillary’s e-mail scandal constituted a national security breach? I think we all know the answer from Session’s “top prosecutors” will be “Nothing to see here.”
Sorry, by Sessions testimony today there will be NO council against Clinton etc. He has fell in with dems in the JD, no credibility whatsoever. Trump should have fired him long ago. He said sounds like is not enough to investigate the Clintons etc, but it sure was enough to investigate Trump on the fake Russia mess???? What a jerk.
Sessions was very rude to Jordan today. Sessions has turned into a McCain democrat. If Trump doesn´t fire him now something is very wrong. When you are against your own party step aside. Rosenberg, Mueller & McCabe are running the JD ... Sessions is a democrat clerk.
Even if Sessions does appoint a special counsel, I do not trust him to appoint a conservative, honest counsel. I wouldn´t put it past him to appoint a dem political hack that would then stack the decks in Hillary´s favor. Sessions has not earned my trust.
Gentleman Jeff can´t appoint another special counsel because all the Dimmi lawyers are already working for Dimmi Mueller, heating the tar and ripping off the feathers, building the gallows, preparing the noose, waxing and polishing the electric chair, sharpening the guillotine, loading ALL the firing squad weapons and getting some wild dogs and AA guns from their buddies in North Korea.
U.S. counterintelligence officials in early 2017 warned Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump´s son-in-law and senior adviser, that Wendi Deng Murdoch, a prominent Chinese-American businesswoman, could be using her close friendship with Mr. Kushner and his wife, Ivanka Trump, to further the interests of the Chinese government, according to people familiar with the matter. U.S. officials have also had concerns about a counterintelligence assessment that Ms. Murdoch was lobbying for a high-profile construction project funded by the Chinese government in Washington, D.C., one of these people said. The project, a planned $100 million Chinese garden at the National Arboretum, was deemed a
Congressional investigations into the Trump dossier have so far been focused on the FBI and Justice Department. They still are, but now investigators are also looking into a possible Obama State Department role in the collection and dissemination of sensational and still-unverified allegations against candidate Donald Trump gathered by a former British spy working for the Hillary Clinton campaign. In addition to having contacts in the Obama Justice Department and FBI, that former spy, Christopher Steele, was also well-connected with the Obama State Department. A book published in November by a correspondent at the Guardian, "Collusion: Secret meetings, dirty money, and
Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that while she believes the #MeToo movement is "a good thing," people need "to be a little bit careful" about how they respond to it. "Let´s not turn women into snowflakes. Let´s not infantilize women," Rice insisted during an interview with CNN´s David Axelrod on "The Axe Files," which airs at 7 ET Saturday night. Rice said she didn´t want "to get to a place that men start to think, ´Well, maybe it´s just better not to have women around.´ I´ve heard a little bit of that. And it, it worries me," she told
It´s not a popular thing to defend Paul Manafort, the international influence peddler who ran Donald Trump´s presidential campaign for a short time in 2016. Just search for "Manafort" and, say, "sleazeball," and see what comes up. But even bad guys have a case sometimes. And Manafort has a case in his lawsuit against Trump-Russia special counsel Robert Mueller and deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein. Mueller sent Manafort a strong message last July, when FBI agents working for Mueller, guns drawn, broke into Manafort´s house in the pre-dawn hours while Manafort and his wife slept inside. Mueller sent another message last
Having encountered Michael Wolff and having had an acidulous public exchange with him, I attest that he is an utterly odious man. He can’t write properly, has no professional integrity, and is a sociophobic mud-slinger and myth-maker. His entry into the continuing Trump controversy in its twilight proclaims that we have reached the era of the swiftly evaporating, nausea-inducing nothingburger. Yet, in what will surely prove the one civically useful thing Mr. Wolff will have done in his adult life, he has performed almost the final evisceration of the throbbing pustule of deranged Trumpophobia. His book is so overtly and
A child of entertainment royalty and an early witness to "power used for ill," the son of Woody Allen and Mia Farrow opens up about helping bring down Harvey Weinstein ("My family background made me understand abuse from an early age"), the NBC News debacle and what´s next (a big HBO deal) as mom Mia reveals why she was "increasingly concerned for his safety." Ronan Farrow is dressed in a black tuxedo jacket and blue silk pajama bottoms. Showing a bit of stubble, his blond hair mussed, he´s holding court at the bar at Mama Lion, a sleek supper club
In Trump´s D.C., insiders knew what Wolff had to tell before he told the world. ‘Fishermen, sharpen your hooks, bring out the cheese balls and grease your bicycles. Soon there’s going to be trout fishing inside the Beltway.” That’s the first time the phrase “inside the Beltway” – meaning, in this instance, the physical realm within the I-495 ring road that surrounds Washington, D.C. – appeared in the Washington Post, the official Beltway paper. It showed up in a 1977 story about stocking the Anacostia River with trout. It wasn’t until 1983 that the term became reliably figurative, signifying, according
Michelle Obama and her eldest daughter Malia made a rare appearance in swimsuits as they are enjoying the sun in Miami. The mother and 19-year-old daughter were spotted walking off Miami Beach on Saturday surrounded by friends - including former Obama administration senior advisor Valerie Jarrett - and Secret Service personnel.Michelle, 53, looked sensational in a white bikini top matched with high-waisted white denim cut-off shorts as she trudged her way barefoot through the sand, holding her shoes in one hand.
NBC plans to televise any players who refuse to stand for “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl, but there may be nothing to show. It appears that NFL players are no longer taking a knee during the national anthem, namely because none of the teams with still-active protesters has qualified for the postseason. By the end of the regular season, only five teams featured at least one player regularly sitting or kneeling on the sidelines for the anthem: the Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers, the Miami Dolphins, the New York Giants and the Oakland Raiders. None of those franchises made the
Mitt Romney took a swipe at Donald Trump on Monday, condemning the crude comments the president was said to have made about Haiti and African countries -- calling them “inconsistent (with) America’s history and antithetical to American values” with a reference to Martin Luther King, Jr. The poverty of an aspiring immigrant’s nation of origin is as irrelevant as their race,” Romney tweeted. “The sentiment attributed to POTUS is inconsistent w/America’s history and antithetical to American values. May our memory of Dr. King buoy our hope for unity, greatness, & ‘charity for all.’”
This Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the NAACP wants man-made global warming to be seen as a civil rights issue, arguing King’s vision of a society free of racial injustice can’t be achieved without addressing warming. “We see climate change as a civil rights issue,” Jacqueline Patterson, head of the NAACP’s environmental and climate justice program, said in an online radio spot for the Yale Center for Environmental Connection. Environmental activists have been increasingly framing global warming as a matter of “environmental justice,” since “minority and low-income populations are disproportionately affected by global warming,” Patterson told Yale’s online radio Climate
The most recent attack on the president is designed to throw him off balance during the debate on immigration. Senator Durbin, doing his best Claude Rains imitation, stated, "I cannot believe that, in the history of the White House, in that Oval Office, any president has ever spoken the words that I personally heard our president speak yesterday." Durbin was responding to Trump´s alleged comment that Haiti, El Salvador, and certain African countries are "s---holes." Many of the reports omit mention of El Salvador because it does not fit the anti-black allegations. Senator Durbin is not a young man, and he
Actress and yogurt salesman Jamie Lee Curtis knows exactly whom to blame for a false alarm that told Hawaiians an incoming ballistic missile was detected. It was all President Trump´s fault. Duh. Now, never mind that Trump was in Florida at the time. On the golf course. And forget that Hawaii´s Emergency Management Agency (EMA), run by the Hawaiian state government, apologized for setting off the false alarm when someone pushed the wrong button. In a Saturday afternoon post on Twitter, Curtis attacked Trump, writing "YOU DID THIS!" "This Hawaii missile scare is on YOU Mr. Trump. The real FEAR that
This is the shocking moment a massive brawl broke out in a California pizza restaurant over a missing iPhone that turned out to have been in the lost and found the whole time. Police were called to John´s Incredible Pizza Company in Newark´s NewPark Mall on Saturday night after violence erupted. It broke out after a girl missing her phone had approached a group to see if they´d seen it but quickly descended into chaos, with video showing two large groups of people exchanging blows and screaming at each other. Newark police officers had to call in officers from the Fremont Police Department
