Democrats tried attacking Donald Trump as unfit for the presidency. They’ve made the case that he’s ineffective, pointing to his failure to sign a single major piece of legislation into law after eight months in the job. They’ve argued that Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself and that his campaign was in cahoots with Russia. None of it is working. Data from a range of focus groups and internal polls in swing states paint a difficult picture for the Democratic Party heading into the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election. It suggests that Democrats are naive if they believe

For the "upteenth" time: it is not about DJT or any other individual - it is about WTP and our country.

The gist of the problem for the ´Rats is how do we cobble together a convincing lie that will turn voters against the president? Two major hurricanes couldn´t do it, so they´re grasping at straws now.

If Ryan and McConnell had any self awareness they would be embarrassed that they drove the Republican president into the arms of the democrats.

If Donald Trump is unfit for office as the Democrats claim, why would they be willing to work with him? Wouldn´t they be aiding someone who´s not up to the job?

The trouble for the media is that they have convinced most of the people that they, the media, will tell whatever LIE suits their purpose at the moment. As a result, the media can say what they want, and people hear it and reject it out of hand. It´s call a complete loss of credibility.

The REAL problem for the Democrats is that the 2016 election virtually destroyed the Democratic party as a national organization. They have no message that will resonate with the voters, nor will it as the economy rebounds from Obama´s ruinous regulatory policies. The issue is jobs and the economy. Nothing that the Democrats can say or do will change that fact. If people feel in 2018 that things are getting better for them, there is no way that the Dems can recover

Trump´s big problem:
He talks too much

President Trump´s speech in Alabama Friday night lasted one hour and 23 minutes. A transcript of his remarks runs just over 12,000 words. To say the speech wandered all over the lot is an understatement. Of course, Trump covered the Alabama Senate race — he was in Huntsville was to campaign for candidate Luther Strange — but he also discussed, in order: 1) the United Nations; 2) the recent hurricanes in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico; 3) North Korea; 4) the GOP´s failed effort to repeal and replace Obamacare; 5) the 2016 election; 6) Mitch McConnell; 7) John McCain; 8) the

WASHINGTON — The Latest on President Donald Trump´s travel ban (all times local): 10 p.m. The Trump administration spent months hashing out new travel restrictions on more than a half-dozen countries, determined to avoid a repeat of the chaos that accompanied President Donald Trump´s first version. But critics say they´re puzzled over the inclusion of some countries and believe Venezuela and North Korea were added to provide legal and political cover for what they say remains a "Muslim ban." The new restrictions covering citizens of Chad, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen — and some Venezuelan government officials and their families —

Huma Abedin is finally free of Anthony Weiner. The long-suffering former Hillary Clinton aide was a no-show at her sext-fiend husband’s sentencing Monday, leaving him to learn of his 21-month prison sentence alone. But Weiner’s soon-to-be ex-wife — and their 5-year-old son, Jordan — were still a presence in the federal courtroom, as he brought them up while making a last-ditch plea for probation. “Jordan has been my salvation. I always told myself if I get that one thing right, all else would be forgiven,” he said. “Your honor, I realize now that by not being honest about how I continued to knock myself

Chelsea Manning has been making quite a spectacle of himself out on Twitter, taking Michael Morrell´s and Mike Pompeo´s exit from the school as a welcome new opportunity to call attention to himself. He starts with an emoji-filled cheer at news of Morrell´s resignation from his own Harvard post based on its bad judgment in bringing him into the university to ´mentor´ students, declaring it ´good´ that Morrell has pulled out. Not a thought about how Morrell´s exit might affect Harvard, it´s all about himself and his feelings instead. Note the high emoji count, by the way - an advertisement

As airlines pack seats tighter than ever, the tests supposed to show that passengers can get out alive in a crash are woefully out of date. The FAA won’t make the results public, and a court warns there is “a plausible life-and-death safety concern.” For years the airlines have been allowed to steadily shrink the size of coach class seats and the space between seat rows without regulators considering the impact of this on safety. A Daily Beast investigation has found: • The tests carried out to ensure that all the passengers can safely exit a cabin in an emergency are dangerously

The entire Pittsburgh Steelers team remained in the locker room during the national anthem, with the exception of one player: Army veteran Alejandro Villanueva, who plays offensive tackle for the Steelers. While the rest of his teammates remained in the locker room, Villanueva stood in the tunnel holding his helmet in his left hand and holding his right hand over his heart as the anthem played. The Dallas Cowboys, together with team owner Jerry Jones, take a collective knee at the start of the Monday Night Football game to display their unity with… well, something probably. Stick a fork in the financial future of the NFL, it’s done; finished. The only thing that was saving the NFL from full organizational collapse was the advent of Fantasy Football Leagues and the subsequent betting and fan-based league play therein. Never underestimate the inability of any business organization to inoculate itself with idiot resistant policies once they enter the arena of identity politics.

WASHINGTON -- Rep. "Someone had the lack of judgment to provoke the situation and call their mothers a name," Jackson Lee said of President Trump using "son of a bi*ch" last week to refer to NFL players who knelt during the National Anthem in protest of racial injustice. CARSON, Calif. — It’s time for NFL owners to go beyond issuing statements and to make a statement: bring back quarterback Colin Kaepernick. On Sunday, from an undisclosed location, Kaepernick retweeted on his Twitter account several images of NFL players wearing T-shirts that read #IMWITHKAP. NFL owners need to show they are as well. They finally can dispel theories that Kaepernick has been blackballed for refusing to stand for the national anthem last season, or, fearing a blacklash from fans, that they simply lack the courage to give him another chance. In May 2016, speaking at a campaign rally in Kentucky,

At a Friday rally in Alabama, President Donald Trump criticized football players who protest during the national anthem: Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b-tch off the field right now. Out. He’s fired. He’s fired!’ (Snip)Here are five reasons the NFL anthem protests are not going as well as the media would like to think. 1. Vague And Unclear Protest Goals One of the keys to a good protest is to have a clear goal. If the discussions on Sunday were any indication, nobody is entirely clear

A day after most of the N.F.L. engaged in at least some form of demonstration during the playing of the national anthem, the Dallas Cowboys linked arms in the middle of the University of Phoenix Stadium field in Glendale, Ariz., and collectively took a knee before the song was played. The Arizona Cardinals linked arms in the end zone with some military personnel in a show of unity. By the time the pop star Jordin Sparks began singing the song, the Cowboys, who were joined in kneeling by the team’s owner, Jerry Jones, had moved to the sideline, linking arms while standing. The crowd, which had booed as the visiting C
