Mexico dispatches top official
to help Mexicans...avoid living in Mexico

Mexico has dispatched foreign relations secretary Luis Videgaray to California and Washington, D.C. to help Mexicans avoid deportation...to Mexico. That´s right. Apparently, having to live in that country is so bad that even its officials are trying to help Mexicans escape that grim, grim fate. Don´t imagine that the Mexicans on either side of the border, let alone the media, notice the irony. But it says something that Mexico is so determined to keep its citizens here instead of "benefiting" from their own country. At the same time Videgaray´s helping Mexicans avoid deportation – paying for lawyers for potential deportees from the

It´s all about the $28 billion remittances. Without that money there is no Mexican economy for the politicians to steal from.

Any American politician who won´t protect U.S. citizens over non-citizens should be replaced in the upcoming elections.

No other country on earth would allow this kind of thing! We have truly lost our way due to the corruption in Congress!

A very nice article, and the perfect perspective. Why doesn´t anybody want to live in Mexico? The Mexican President, and that former one that speaks up so much should answer this question.

Villanueva´s unconvincing apology
and other blunders from the Steelers

From Alejandro Villanueva´s absurd apology for standing up for the flag, to his team´s decision to stay off the field during the playing of the national anthem, the Pittsburgh Steelers have done an amazing job of extending a bad press cycle for themselves. And maybe that´s because they are prioritizing protection of their flag-haters over the interest of pleasing their fans. First, there was the locker-room evasion. In the name of ´team unity´ and a stated desire not to get involved in the politically charged atmosphere of President Trump´s objections to players ´taking a knee´ as the national anthem was played,

‘Transparent’ Shows TV’s First
Transgender Full-Frontal Nude Scene

Before Season 4 of Transparent started production, transgender actress Alexandra Billings, who plays Maura’s friend and mentor Davina on the series, walked into the writer’s room to pitch. She said she wanted to be naked. That, of course, is a crude simplification of the process. Billings’ friend and Transparent co-star Trace Lysette suggested that the two of them talk to the show’s writers about their lives and experiences as transgender women, with the hope that they might incorporate them, and therefore a broader reflection of the varied transgender experience, into the show’s storylines. “And I asked for this specifically,” Billings says, talking

A far-right party has won seats in the German parliament for the first time in half a century, in an election where Angela Merkel was returned as chancellor for the third contest straight. Official exit polls show the anti-Muslim and anti-immigration AfD winning 13.5 per cent of the vote – at the higher end of what surveys had suggested it might win. Meanwhile, the centre-left SPD – the current coalition parties of Ms Merkel´s CDU and a titan of German politics for 150 years – appears to have hit a historic low of just 20 per cent, its worst showing since the

These are the heartbreaking final photos of murdered British headteacher Emma Kelty – taken by villagers who begged her not to continue her journey along the Amazon River. Just three days after Ms Kelty smiled and waved goodbye to the locals, she was tortured and killed. Villagers had warned the 43-year-old not to leave alone, telling her the last foreign kayaker to pass through the area had been murdered. Seeing a lone foreign woman about to venture into the notoriously lawless stretch beyond the Coari region, the villagers went out in boats to intercept her and persuaded her to stop for an

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton slammed President Trump on Saturday, saying his presidency is worse than she expected it would be. "I really had such deep doubts about his preparation, his temperament, his character, his experience, but he´s been even worse than I thought he would be," Clinton told MSNBC´s Joy Reid on "AM Joy." "I tried in my concession speech to make clear that we should all give him the space to be president for every American. That´s what we want from our presidents, regardless of our partisan differences, we want to feel like the person in the oval office

A terrifying torrent of water swept through Puerto Rico after a dam failed at Lake Guajataca in the northwest region. Water was seen sweeping through the municipalities of Isabela and Quebradillas after the dam sustained structural damage from Hurricane Maria. Nearly 16 inches of rain fell in the area, significantly raising water levels on the 90-year-old dam. Earlier, Puerto Rican authorities had scrambled to evacuate as many as 70,000 people after the National Weather Service warned that failure of the dam was ´imminent´ and could lead to ´life-threatening´ flash flooding.

Around 70,000 people have been told to evacuate immediately as authorities warned of "extremely dangerous" flash flooding in areas near the 345-yard Guajataca Dam. Governor Ricardo Rosselló said the extent of the damage to the dam is not fully known and urged people living in the municipalities of Isabela and Quebradillas to flee. “Close to 70,000 is the estimate of people that could be affected in the case of a collapse,” he said. “We don’t know the details. It’s time to get people out.” At least 13 people were killed when Hurricane Maria barrelled through Puerto Rico – virtually flattening the entire island

The entire Pittsburgh Steelers team remained in the locker room during the national anthem, with the exception of one player: Army veteran Alejandro Villanueva, who plays offensive tackle for the Steelers. While the rest of his teammates remained in the locker room, Villanueva stood in the tunnel holding his helmet in his left hand and holding his right hand over his heart as the anthem played. The Dallas Cowboys, together with team owner Jerry Jones, take a collective knee at the start of the Monday Night Football game to display their unity with… well, something probably. Stick a fork in the financial future of the NFL, it’s done; finished. The only thing that was saving the NFL from full organizational collapse was the advent of Fantasy Football Leagues and the subsequent betting and fan-based league play therein. Never underestimate the inability of any business organization to inoculate itself with idiot resistant policies once they enter the arena of identity politics.

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) took a knee on the floor of the House tonight during a special order by the Congressional Black Caucus focused on rooting out racism and defending the First Amendment. "Someone had the lack of judgment to provoke the situation and call their mothers a name," Jackson Lee said of President Trump using "son of a bi*ch" last week to refer to NFL players who knelt during the National Anthem in protest of racial injustice. CARSON, Calif. — It’s time for NFL owners to go beyond issuing statements and to make a statement: bring back quarterback Colin Kaepernick. On Sunday, from an undisclosed location, Kaepernick retweeted on his Twitter account several images of NFL players wearing T-shirts that read #IMWITHKAP. NFL owners need to show they are as well. They finally can dispel theories that Kaepernick has been blackballed for refusing to stand for the national anthem last season, or, fearing a blacklash from fans, that they simply lack the courage to give him another chance. In May 2016, speaking at a campaign rally in Kentucky,

At a Friday rally in Alabama, President Donald Trump criticized football players who protest during the national anthem: Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b-tch off the field right now. Out. He’s fired. He’s fired!’ (Snip)Here are five reasons the NFL anthem protests are not going as well as the media would like to think. 1. Vague And Unclear Protest Goals One of the keys to a good protest is to have a clear goal. If the discussions on Sunday were any indication, nobody is entirely clear

A day after most of the N.F.L. engaged in at least some form of demonstration during the playing of the national anthem, the Dallas Cowboys linked arms in the middle of the University of Phoenix Stadium field in Glendale, Ariz., and collectively took a knee before the song was played. The Arizona Cardinals linked arms in the end zone with some military personnel in a show of unity. By the time the pop star Jordin Sparks began singing the song, the Cowboys, who were joined in kneeling by the team’s owner, Jerry Jones, had moved to the sideline, linking arms while standing. The crowd, which had booed as the visiting C
