Establishment GOP Puts Cronies
over Country on Missile Defense

American Greatness, by Angelo Codevilla

As North Korea demonstrates America’s vulnerability to ballistic missiles, and as President Trump pledges “many billions of dollars” for “the anti-missile,” establishment Republicans are poised to use missile defense talk today in the same way they did in the wake of Ronald Reagan’s commitment to it: profit politically from rhetoric, funnel money to the best-connected contractors, and accomplish nothing. Since Reagan restored missile defense to the nation’s agenda 34 years ago, Republicans have led the spending of some 80 billion dollars on its behalf. But they have acquiesced as the U.S government has crafted each and every program according to

Comments:
The article goes on to talk about “The $30 Billion Boondoggle”.

Well worth a read, especially for anyone who still hankers for McConnell, Ryan and/or any of the Establishment GOPe types.

Got a fund raising letter in the mail today from the Republican National Committee. It´s going right in the round file. We gave the GOP the House, the Senate and the Presidency and they are squandering an opportunity of a lifetime to turn things around in this county. The RINO´s like Ryan, McConnell, McCain, etc., cannot pass themselves off as conservatives anymore. DRAIN THE SWAMP!

The rituals we observe, the company we keep, the memories we honor—these are the things that bind a people together and give them a sense of themselves. Our public holidays make the present a link between the past and the future. They are public displays of what a people values. In America, we value gratitude. From our earliest days, Americans have taken time to give thanks and to do so publicly and together. We’ve done this since before there really was such a thing as an American. The earliest people to celebrate a day of thanks in the new world were

The Electoral College Works,

NEW YORK—Let’s all dogpile on the Electoral College. It’s undemocratic, it’s outdated, it’s un-American. The New York Times (surprise, surprise) believes it should be abolished and we should go to a straight-up popular vote. Because (this is the part they don’t tell you when they make this argument)... Screw Wyoming. Screw Vermont. Screw Arkansas. Screw Rhode Island. Screw Delaware. How could the concerns of those little pipsqueak states matter when the massive voting blocs of the Upper West Side and West Hollywood and Nob Hill and the South Side of Chicago are saying, “You people go back to your bass boats and your cattle ranches and your plaid

Warning About Dangers Of
Uranium One Deal

The warning was issued December 21st, 2010. Barack Obama was President and Hillary Clinton his Secretary of State. A uranium deal that allocated a sizable portion of U.S. uranium reserves had just been awarded to Russian government-controlled interests. The deal made no sense. It weakened American security. It also made the Clinton Foundation very-very rich via donations made by corporate interests directly tied to the deal. Senator John Barrasso sounded the alarm. Barack Obama, his administration, and much of the Establishment Media chose to ignore the warning. Read the senator’s letter to then-President Obama here: (screen shot of letter)

What a tangled web is weaved…. Hillary Clinton paid her lawyers at Perkins Coie for opposition research on candidate Donald Trump. In turn Perkins Coie paid Fusion GPS to gather information. Fusion GPS paid Christopher Steele to write the “Russian Dossier”. The FBI also paid Christopher Steele. Additionally, prior evidence surfaced suggesting the FBI used the dossier to get FISA warrants against the Trump campaign. And NOW we discover that Fusion GPS paid journalists and five media companies to participate. Oh, if this ain’t just sketchy as all hell:WASHINGTON – Newly filed court documents confirm that Fusion GPS, the company mostly responsible

I somewhat agree with Mrs. Brazile, but I doubt she’ll ever be honest with the reason. Anyone who has watched the ongoing internal battle within the larger Democrat party will note the institutional apparatus is about to make a major concession. More than likely the Democrat machine will drop “super delegates” from the system. The control authority will sell the removal of ‘super delegates‘ as confirmation they are reforming and listening to the people. However, things are not quite as they would appear. The institutional control agents will NEVER give up their control over the nomination process; they don’t even carry that

As he prepares to bring the first tax code re-write since 1986 to the Senate floor, Sen. Orrin G. Hatch of Utah is saying his Senate service might not be nearing its end. In a report published Tuesday, Hatch told the Wall Street Journal he does intend to seek another term. “I’m planning on running again because I still have the chairmanship of the Finance Committee and they’ll never be another Utahn that’s chairman of the committee, at least not for 40 or 50 years,” Hatch said. Hatch has wielded the gavel of the powerful tax-writing committee since the start of the last

Court documents involving Leigh Corfman, who says that Alabama senatorial candidate Roy Moore tried to engage in a sexual encounter with her when she was 14, raise questions about the timeline and narrative of Corfman’s accusations against the politician. Those accusations were first publicly disclosed in a Washington Post story citing Corfman and her mother, Nancy Wells, as saying that in early 1979, Roy Moore, then a 32-year-old assistant district attorney, allegedly asked Wells to watch her fourteen-year-old daughter while Wells went into a courtroom for a custody hearing.(Snip)A thorough search of court documents finds one court case in February 1979—a

A Washington Post columnist said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders humiliates the media on a daily basis. In a column published Tuesday, opinion writer Kathleen Parker referenced Sanders asking reporters earlier this week to say what they were thankful for before asking a question. "Yet again, she controlled the crowd, though this time by candy-coating her usual condescension with faux fellowship," Parker wrote. "I´m thankful I wasn´t in the room." She wrote that her first impulse when someone asks her to share is to "not-share." "For a press secretary to require professional journalists to essentially beg for their supper, surrendering their adversarial posture

A new Raycom News Network Senate Election poll conducted by Strategy Research finds the race in a statistical tie nearly two weeks after allegations of sexual misconduct against Republican Roy Moore rocked the campaign. (Snip) When asked “what do you think about the allegations made against Roy Moore,” 45% believe all or some of the allegations; 34% do not believe the allegations; and 21% believe some or all of the allegations, but say it has not changed their vote. Among party lines, nearly half (48%) of Republican voters surveyed do not believe the allegations. Another 24% of Republicans say they believe some

A retired Alabama police officer said she was told to keep an eye on Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore back in the 1980s because he was known to harass teenage cheerleaders at local school ballgames. Ex-Gadsden cop Faye Gray told MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell that rumors of Moore’s liking young girls were heard on a daily basis and she was informed that he had been banned from Gadsden Mall because he allegedly targeted young female employees. “We were also told to watch him at the ballgames and make sure that he didn’t hang around the cheerleaders,” Faye said.

Alabama has its back up, or at least its Republicans and conservatives do, and it’s understandable. They don’t like when Northerners and liberals and people in Washington tell them who their senator should be. They don’t like when reporters from outside come down and ask questions and turn over rocks looking for what’s crawling on the underside. (Snip) The charges against Mr. Moore are not only serious; they are completely credible. If you read the original Washington Post story, you know it was rigorously reported, with great care and professionalism. Four women who did not seek out the press, who did

The NFL is considering an idea for next year to keep players inside their locker rooms during the playing of the National Anthem. "I think that if players are still kneeling at the end of the year, then it could very well happen," said one person familiar with the owners´ deliberations on anthem-related issues.Years ago, the players would come out on the field to warm up and then return to the locker room during the National Anthem. The league is thinking of going back to that policy. Washington Post: That person said it was "too early to tell" for certain
