Steve Bannon Encourages Jeffrey Lord
to ‘Keep Fighting’ on ‘No Apologies

Hours after CNN fired pro-Trump commentator Jeffrey Lord for mocking Nazis and fascists with a “Sieg Heil” tweet, White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon reportedly called Lord to encourage him to “keep fighting” on what Lord said would be his “no apologies tour.” As Breitbart News reported, “CNN—the network that allowed anchor Brooke Baldwin to falsely smear Breitbart News as the “most prominent platform” for the ‘Nazi salute’ and enabled New York Times columnist Charles Blow just a few weeks ago to falsely defame Breitbart News as the home of ‘Neo-Nazism’”—purged Lord for his clearly sarcastic tweet “directed at a

Not long ago, on a summer afternoon, I found myself in Las Vegas with nothing much to do. My flight back home wasn´t until the next day. The $20 I was willing to throw away on gambling didn´t last as long, so I needed something to do. Luckily, over the last decade or so, Las Vegas has become the machine gun capital of the world. A Mecca of hot lead unloaded at a blistering pace. There´s at least half a dozen places where you can rent some full-auto fun. There´s no other town I´m aware of that has more than

Yesterday, I saw Senator Coons, Democrat from Delaware say he couldn’t vote for the Graham Cassidy healthcare replacement bill because it didn’t have a clear definition of adequate and affordable for those with preexisting conditions. What a joke! The Affordable Care act (ACA) was an over 2,000 page bill (that most hadn’t read when they voted on it) with massive numbers of mandates and twenty new taxes and I don’t recall Democrats asking for definitions let alone on subjective terms like adequate and affordable. President Obama went around repeating that everyone would be able to keep their plan and doctor

The media take North Korea´s side

Many members of the national media hate President Trump so much that they´ll even defend North Korea if it keeps them consistent in their opposition to everything he does. After Trump said at the United Nations General Assembly this week that the U.S. would crush the little Asian country should Kim Jong Un attack the U.S. or our allies, reporters and commentators reacted as if he had just threatened Switzerland on a whimsy. Trump had simply said that the U.S. "has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no

Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is growing in popularity on America’s political left-wing as the despot engages in a war of words with President Trump. Progressives have shown an increasing willingness to embrace the brutal dictator as a means of attacking Trump, and some in the media have given the brutal dictator friendly, celebrity-like coverage. Left-wing activists, meanwhile, are eagerly spreading pro-North Korea propaganda and making excuses for the dictator’s murderous activities. Un’s public attacks on Trump on Tuesday prompted praise for the dictator by some in the media. Washington Post columnist Petula Dvorak fawned over Un in a column

Megyn Kelly has spent the past four months popping by the set ´Today´ as she worked on turning herself from a steely cable news host into a warm and relatatble morning show presence ahead of the premiere of her new NBC show. And after all that hard work, Megyn got one final chance on Friday to prove to viewers just how similar she is to the rest of America, and she did not waste a moment. In the span of just two minutes, Megyn kicked things of by managing to command the final moments of the Today´s Take finale where

After Obama nixes agreement, groups

The Obama Presidential Center planned for Jackson Park could be a shot in the arm for the South Side, bringing jobs, economic development and other benefits. But a coalition of activists and residents want those promises put in writing — something the former president himself refused to do just this week. Still, those groups are pressing on, saying they plan to go to the city to get the legal enforcement a written document would provide. The Kenwood-Oakland Community Organization has started the process of getting a community benefits agreement drafted as a city ordinance. Jawanza Malone, executive director of the

What do a retweet of a billion-dollar presidential golf swing hitting a hole-in-one into the back of a former presidential Democrat candidate, the new name poetically given to a crazed lunatic who has a fetish for shooting off misguided rockets, and a March 4th claim of “wiretapping” in Trump Tower that took seven months to be proven true, all have in common? President Donald J. Trump‘s magnificent way of communicating to the American people and the world instantaneously -- tweeting. What Twitter is for President Trump in 2017, Facebook was for former President Obama in 2008. There has been much

Sen. John McCain almost certainly just killed TrumpCare — and gave a boost to managed-care stocks such as UnitedHealth (UNH) and Centene (CNC). The Arizona Republican declared that he couldn´t "in good conscience" vote for the Graham-Cassidy plan to repeal ObamaCare and replace it with block grants to states. John McCain?Verified account @SenJohnMcCain I cannot in good conscience vote for Graham-Cassidy. A bill impacting so many lives deserves a bipartisan approach. The news brought a sudden turnaround in managed-care stocks, though much of that was short-lived. Shares of Centene, whose fortunes are more tied to the ObamaCare exchanges and Medicaid

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) announced on Friday that he will vote against the latest GOP effort to repeal ObamaCare, potentially dooming the legislation. “I cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham-Cassidy proposal. I believe we could do better working together, Republicans and Democrats, and have not yet really tried," he said in a statement, referring to the legislation spearheaded by GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C) and Bill Cassidy (La.). McCain´s announcement leaves GOP leadership with no room for error.

The Senate’s top Democrat offered praise for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) after he said he would oppose the latest ObamaCare repeal bill, which narrows the chance that Republicans can get the legislation to President Trump’s desk. “John McCain shows the same courage in Congress that he showed when he was a naval aviator,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said an hour after McCain’s statement. “I have assured Senator McCain that as soon as repeal is off the table, we Democrats are intent on resuming the bipartisan process.” McCain is the second Republican, after Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), to announce

If NFL fans continue to turn away from football, the TV networks could lose as much as $200 million in earnings, according to a new report. After ratings for Week Two crashed, adding to the angst already felt by a poor showing in Week 1, industry insiders and analysts are sounding the alarm. A new report claims that CBS, ESPN, Fox and NBC could take a $200 million hit to their estimated $2.5 billion in NFL advertising earnings if fans continue to turn off the TV, the The Hollywood Reporter noted recently. The worries over earnings are not allayed by

ABC has greenlit a new sitcom tentatively titled "Sanctuary Family" about an undocumented family living in the U.S. The network says the show will follow the pandemonium that unfolds when a married couple allows their undocumented nanny and her family to live with them. The guests put a strain on the marriage of the host family but they eventually learn that “the differences both families have aren’t as significant as their similarities,” according to the description provided by ABC. Undocumented immigrants are foreign-born people who don’t have a legal right to be or remain in the United States and the

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel used his opening monologue Thursday to once again lambast supporters of the Graham-Cassidy health care bill -- and at one point called a Republican senator from Louisiana an "inbred." The host of ABC´s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” has emerged as a strong celebrity advocate for universal health care since his infant son had to undergo open-heart surgery in April. Kimmel made an announcement about his son during a memorable monologue at the time and has taken up the cause ever since. Part of his goal is for every child in the U.S. to have the same access to
