I usually try to give global warming hysterics the benefit of the doubt–sincere but misguided, not good at math, unacquainted with the Earth’s highly variable climatic history, and so on. But sometimes data come along that make that sympathetic attitude hard to sustain. Like this paper by Dr. James P. Wallace III, Dr. Joseph S. D’Aleo, and Dr. Craig D. Idso, which was published last month. Its title is “On the Validity of NOAA, NASA and Hadley CRU Global Average Surface Temperature Data & The Validity of EPA’s CO2 Endangerment Finding.” You should read it all, but one portion that struck
It is a complete fraud the greatest theft in human history, global government/s conspiring to steal from productive Americans to finance their own people’s sloth and politicians power lust.
Almost every single article expressing AGW skepticism includes fluff such as “we know warming is happening and we know man contributes to that” and then moves on to well a little warming might not be a bad thing, and it really isn’t all that significant. Rubbish!
NO! It is pure unadulterated bull-jive. We don’t know if we are entering another ice age or still exiting the last one; we don’t know squat. But we do know that when hard working people create wealth others will want to take it away and professional thieves will offer to do that for them.
The “Climate Change” movement is no more complicated than petty theft.
Thinking back about the origins of this scam, it seems that the first time it was heard of, it came from Europe, and was a ploy to try to hamstring US industry growth. The original targets set up for reductions in CO2 used the East German soft coal ecological horrorshow powerplants, recently joined West Germany, as proposed baseline of CO2 emissions. Unified Germany had replaced all of these high CO2, inefficient soviet designs, they had to do nothing new to meet their future CO2 reductions, and it appeared that the US would be seriously restricted from an economic standpoint by meeting their CO2 reductions. It was a Euro power play, revisited in the Paris Accords, intended to keep the financially struggling socialist paradises in Europe competitive, not by fixing their mess, but by hobbling the USA.
Later, the loser class in academia, those failing and mediocre scientists, many doomed to being dumped from their assistant professorships due to inability to attract funded research, grasping at a new research topic which had two miraculous properties: it was both so important that it must be funded, and the results of any research could stand with no challenge, no matter how wrong or fraudulent, until long after the fraudsters were retired or in their graves. A new research field, tailor made to attract the losers and frauds of science.
Add in the perversion of the large number of "green" ecopower groups, Sierra Club, Environmental Defense Fund, Wilderness Society, Greenpeace, who had been taken over from genuine hikers and conservationists by extreme leftist zealots, seeking a powerful new way to pry funding from donors in ever increasing quantities to fund their lavish lifestyles and ledtist propaganda machines.
Taken together, three disparate groups finding common cause in the World´s Biggest Scam.
The hockey stick graph that it was all originally based on is a fake as well. The Medieval Warming Period didn´t fit the man-made warming narrative, so it was just not included, in effect agreeable temperature numbers for that period were fabricated and graphed.
It MMGW has been a hoax from day one. All of it. It is the greatest scientific fraud in the history of mankind.
Absolutely it´s a fraud. The Global Warming hysteria is based mainly on the East Anglia Study, which has been debunked as a hoax which fabricated corroborating evidence for global warming while ignoring inconvenient facts. Yet in spite of its debunking, the Left applies the Rather Standard of "fake but accurate" to the East Anglia Study and continues to use it as the basis with which to perpetuate the global warming myth.
#5, may I ask your permission to post your comments on my FB page along with this article? You state the facts so much more clearly than I can - I will be glad to give you full credit. If not, thanks for putting into words what some of us cannot.
My answer to the question is "yes, and maybe not."
There is little question in my mind that leftists have cooked the books on global warming in pursuit of their eternal power grabbing schemes. It does not however follow that embarking on a path of ever increasing CO2 emissions is risk free. The proper way to mitigate the risk, IMHO, is to develop nuclear power and the electrification of transportation where practical.
Yes, the climate is changing. It always has been and always will be. The impact of human activities is minuscule and insignificant compared to the effects of the variabilities of the sun and the inherent geology of the earth. As with all species over time, homo sapiens must adapt or die.
#12, no one, except the leftists, is saying to do nothing, or there is no risk.
The question, is it all man-made as the leftists state/claim.
the actual temperature data didn´t fit their theory/models, so they simply changed the data to fit their theory.
And, have you ever wondered why it´s always 40-60 years in the future when this may all happen? Ever read a NOAA climate report? filled with old studies, lost of IF´s, May´s and Could´s. Not a lot of WILL´s.
Plus, it´s really about pollution.
Lastly, did you notice the Paris Accord would only reduce the target temperature by 0.17C if 100% of the targets were met, and in 83 years(by 2100)?
#10, sure. No problem. Credit for Lucianne would be nice. I am not a FB person, never, ever go there.
I have been closely observing this phenomenon for many decades, and have a lifelong friend who has been a research professor at several universities. I have learned from him of the dilemma of the mediocre scientists. Only 10% of grant proposals get funded each year, leaving 90% in the ashes. He has disappeared from the social scene for a couple of months when grant proposal time came around, very hard work to write a good one, he always was funded. For the 90% losers, after a few years of failed proposals, the pressure mounts from the universities, and from the banks account to get some sort of funded research, or be dropped from the faculty. Few know that direct salary for asst profs is very low, it is expected that they will get funded research and pay themselves out of their grant money. No grant, piddling salary and threats of being fired. Not all have the integrity to resist the siren song of MMGW "research."
As a lifelong backpacker and sometimes mountain climber I used to be a member of Sierra Club, Wilderness Society and more and watched them being subverted from the inside as a member. Of course, I long ago left them.
ST. PETERSBURG — Mayoral candidate Paul Congemi has made national news for a racial tirade at Tuesday’s mayoral forum when he told supporters of International People´s Democratic Uhuru Movement-affiliated candidate Jesse Nevel to “go back to Africa.” In the midst of a question about opportunities for youth in the city, Congemi veered off topic in a bizarre way: “Mr. Nevel, you and your people, you talk about reparations. The reparations that you talk about, Mr. Nevel, your people already got your reparations," Congemi said. "Your reparations came in the form of a man named Barack Obama.” The large contingent of Nevel’s supporters
The Daily Mail rushes in where others fear to tread, so take this story with a grain of salt. Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor and his lawyer have refused to explain why Noor shot Justine Damond, in a case that has reverberated around the world. But the Daily Mail claims to have interviewed Noor’s friends. Somewhat to my amazement, they allegedly say that Noor did it on purpose: "Killer policeman Mohamed Noor has said he was ‘startled’ by his victim Justine Damond seconds before he opened fire." (Snip) It’s one thing for a 911 caller to panic, quite another for a
Venezuela´s ruling Chavistas want to drop all pretense of democracy and turn their country into a full-blown Cuba-style tyranny. They´re doing it with a bogus Chicago-politics-only-filthier-style fake referendum on July 30 with rigged votes, whose only certainty is its outcome. They would have us believe that people willingly vote themselves into slavery. That´s what all of Venezuela´s recent gigantic protests have been about – see Javier Caceres´s firsthand account from Caracas that ran at American Thinker here – and don´t imagine that the Trump administration hasn´t been watching closely. A day or two ago, Trump´s people delivered a chemical weapons-style strike-back on
On the morning of the first meeting of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Election Integrity, Vanita Gupta -- the head of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division under the Obama administration -- published a “Moon Landing Was Faked”-level rant about the Committee’s supposed dangers to American democracy. She really did title it “The Voter Purges Are Coming.” They aren’t, Miss Gupta, but your op-ed does a tremendous job of making the case for an immediate purge of Obama-era executive branch hires. Gupta was not simply popping off on her own. The institutional Left really, really does not want this Committee, or
Now here, in all its glory, is a supremely tangential link (found in a Metro article called ´Global warming is now messing with wine, so can you PLEASE STOP WRECKING THE WORLD´): Global warming is “going to up the price of wine across the board”. Readers may want to know the details about this fatal connection between man-created global warming and the high price of wine. Though -- it must be said straight away -- this can´t always the case at present. It must surely depend on which wines you like and where you buy your wine from. Anyway, this is the hard
Heavens to Murgatroyd! Does every cartoon character need to be revamped for “the current year"? You might be familiar with Snagglepuss, aka America’s favorite pink cartoon mountain lion, from his wacky and family-friendly adventures during his 32-episode series as seen on The Yogi Bear Show since 1961. If you’ve ever wanted to see classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters like Wally Gator and Quick Draw McGraw back in the limelight for a new generation to enjoy, take a look at how DC Comics has drastically changed Snagglepuss for his upcoming comic book series that is set to debut this autumn: (Snip) Comic book
One of the less-discussed stories this week was that a consortium of traditionally published newspapers was starting to lobby for some sort of arrangement to break the "digital duopoly" of Facebook and Google on digital content. In this Ars Technica article, they point to the (recently renamed) News Media Alliance, which wants the U.S. government to relax antitrust restrictions so that the Alliance can negotiate with the Google-Facebook "duopoly." There´s no question that the Internet has changed the whole ecological balance of the way news is presented and published. We´ve been writing about those changes for close to ten years here
WASHINGTON — President Trump said on Wednesday that he never would have appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions had he known Mr. Sessions would recuse himself from overseeing the Russia investigation that has dogged his presidency, calling the decision “very unfair to the president.” In a remarkable public break with one of his earliest political supporters, Mr. Trump complained that Mr. Sessions’s decision ultimately led to the appointment of a special counsel that should not have happened. “Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and
The Minnesota cop who shot and killed an Australian bride-to-be opened fire on her after being startled by a “loud sound” near his patrol car, investigators say. Officer Mohamed Noor, 31, began blasting at 40-year-old Justine Damond, of Minneapolis, just moments after he and his partner, Matthew Harrity, heard the noise in the alley behind her house, according to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The agency provided an update Tuesday on their investigation into the Saturday night shooting. Officers Noor and Harrity had been called to Damond’s home after she called 911 to report a possible sexual assault happening
Heading to church one evening in late March, a farmworker and her sister were stopped for speeding in the village of Geneseo, N.Y. They were driving with their five children in the back of the minivan. Two were not in car seats, as required. The police officer, trying to cite the driver for the infractions, discovered she had no driver’s license, so he called Border Patrol to review her Guatemalan passport. Both sisters were undocumented immigrants. They were detained and are facing deportation. Under a Trump administration that has taken an aggressive stance on illegal immigration, the moving car has
The Humiliation Of Jeff Sessions- There is something more than a little jarring in the ongoing humiliation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. In an ill-timed, ill-focused interview with the NYT, President Trump revisited his disdain for Sessions, his first, most-ardent and most-loyal supporter in the Senate. When supporting Trump was still considered career suicide, Sessions donned the red cap anyway. Maybe it will prove fatal for Sessions’ career, after all. The president has not made a secret of the fact that he blames Sessions for the scandal that now engulfs the Trump administration, claiming in
President Trump sat down with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a second discussion at the G-20 summit in Germany this month — a talk the White House never disclosed, according to reports. The talk came hours after their two-hour bilateral meeting on July 7, towards the end of a “couples-only social dinner” at the summit, National Security Council spokesman Michael Anton told CNN. Trump and Putin conversed in the room where the dinner was being held. “No staff or Cabinet were at the dinner at all, for any of the countries,” Anton said, adding that translators were present. The White
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has been diagnosed with brain cancer, the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix said Wednesday. The tumor was discovered after the senior Arizona senator underwent a minor procedure last week to remove a blood clot from above his left eye. "Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot," the hospital said in a statement. “The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation."
The U.S. special counsel investigating possible ties between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia in last year’s election is examining a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses as well as those of his associates, according to a person familiar with the probe. The president told the New York Times on Wednesday that any digging into matters beyond Russia would be out of bounds. Trump’s businesses have involved Russians for years, making the boundaries fuzzy so Special Counsel Robert Mueller appears to be taking a wide-angle approach to his two-month-old probe. FBI investigators and others are looking at Russian purchases of apartments
