How the Trump Administration Is Working
to Clean Up the Messes It Inherited

Like a bachelor before a date, the Obama administration rushed around during the transition hiding dirty laundry for the incoming administration. And now, almost 100 days in, the Trump team is still working to find and undo a handful of underreported bureaucratic messes left behind. The Obama administration was on cruise control before the election because almost everyone in the president’s circle was sure that Hillary Clinton would win. However, as reality set in, the president and his team rushed through a series of regulatory measures, leaving behind a a few dirty socks for the Trump administration to pick up. In fact,

One thing the Trump Administration is not doing to clean up the Obama mess is using recess appointments to displace Obama holdovers. The Easter recess window closes on Monday.

Opportunity lost. Someone should be fired for this oversight if not deliberate undermining.

This is why the president should be forbidden from implementing policy immediately after the election has been certified. The waiting until January 21st is stupid, a date likely chosen prior to modern certification technology and modes of transportation in order to accommodate notification of the masses of the results. The Democrats are totally dishonorable, and will always choose to subvert and undermine the incoming president when that person is a Republican.

Wrong Idea--If P. Trump used the recess to stack the deck he would be as crooked as the progressives( do ´t call them Democrats it gives them some traditional standing.

It is something the previous republican administrations (the bushes) failed to do. Failure to clean out all the clinton cronies led to 9 - 11 and sonny boy bush expanded the government significantly.

If Trump can just clean out the trash left by previous administrations that will be a significant accomplishment.

California Is Seceding from the Constitution
National Review Online, by David French    Original Article

Forget the ludicrous #Calexit movement — why should a state bother seceding when it can simply nullify the portions of the Constitution it doesn’t like? A troubling trend is emerging: California is imposing its own vision of free speech, freedom of association, and freedom of the press on its citizens, and it’s daring the courts to stop it. The entire nation has of course watched as the city of Berkeley and the University of California, Berkeley ceded control over free speech to violent left-wing mobs. Both the city and the campus have placed the safety of rioters over the liberty

He has floated some conspiracy theories for years, but now President Donald Trump will get to play a crucial role in the long-running saga over the government´s Kennedy assassination records. The 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act, signed by President George H.W. Bush, set a 25-year timetable for declassification of assassination records dealing with President Kennedy. The law set up a single collection of records at the National Archives, and set up a process for declassification. The law required the release of all government records dealing with the assassination within 25 years – with the exception of those the president certifies for

Prosecutors in Florida say a former congresswoman took money from a charitable foundation for poor children and instead used it to pay for concert tickets and Beverly Hills shopping sprees. Federal attorneys on Wednesday opened their case in the trial of Corrine Brown, who from 2013 to 2017 was the Democratic representative from Florida’s 5th congressional district. Brown stands accused of multiple fraud and conspiracy charges for allegedly funneling contributions from the scholarship charity she started, One Door for Education, to her personal bank accounts. Between 2012 and 2016, Brown and two close associates raised more than $800,000, much of which they

Conservative leader Jim DeMint is reportedly out as the head of The Heritage Foundation. This comes amid rising tensions between Mr. DeMint and CEO of Heritage Action for America Mike Needham who runs the political arm of the conservative think tank. The two battled about the direction of the organization, according to the Washingtonian’s Elaina Plott. Some board members say that DeMint made the policy wing of the think tank too political, which deterred from its research, Politico reported. Mr. DeMint had been in contract negotiations. His contract is set to expire at the end of 2017. At a speech

The Democrats’ First 100 Days

Let´s reverse angle. The president´s first 100 days in office have been analyzed, dissected, evaluated. Not much left to say about them. What about the opposition? What do the Democrats have to show for these first months of the Trump era? Little. Trump´s defeats have not come at the Democrats´ hands. Those setbacks have been self-inflicted (over-the-top tweets, hastily written policies, few sub-cabinet nominations) or have come from the judiciary (the travel ban, the sanctuary cities order) or from Republican infighting (health care). Deregulation, Keystone pipeline, immigration enforcement—Democrats have been powerless to stop them. Chuck Schumer slow-walked Trump´s nominations as best he

He misses driving, feels as if he is in a cocoon, and is surprised how hard his new job is. President Donald Trump on Thursday reflected on his first 100 days in office with a wistful look at his life before the White House. "I loved my previous life. I had so many things going," Trump told Reuters in an interview. "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier." A wealthy businessman from New York, Trump assumed public office for the first time when he entered the White House on Jan. 20 after he defeated former

Ivanka Trump´s left-of-center positions are causing trouble for President Trump. Many passionate supporters of Trump didn´t like it one bit when he gave her a prominent advisory role in his government. Both the "alt-right" and actual conservatives feared she would push her farther left on a host of pivotal issues, including on the Planned Parenthood funding battle and the Syrian migrant security issue. Although Ivanka is losing on the former, she´s still fighting for the latter, which must put her father in a difficult spot: Ivanka Trump, juggling dual roles of White House adviser and daughter of the president, said in an

After a leisurely three month vacation, Michelle Obama has made her first public appearance since the inauguration. Looking refreshed and relaxed after her three-month vacation, the former first lady greeted the audience with a smile and a wave at the AIA Conference on Architecture 2017 in Florida on Thursday. Obama was the keynote speaker at the event, organized by the American Institute of Architects, where she spoke about her time as Chicago´s assistant commissioner of planning and development. The former first lady wore a long black, white and beige dress which showed off her toned arms at the event as she also

Saturday marks President Trump’s 100th day in office, and to celebrate the occasion he got a bit too candid in an Oval Office interview with Reuters. Obviously certain elements of being president are pretty fun, but President Trump has discovered that it isn’t all playing with trucks and pressing a button that makes Cokes appear. Sometimes there’s work to be done, and as it turns out being leader of the free world is a lot harder than running a fake university and playing a caricature of a rich person on TV.“I loved my previous life. So how much of our money did Obama ship to the terrorist regime in Iran? We hear $150 billion. We are not sure. Could be a dollar less, a dollar more. We’ll never know for sure. That’s because his entire administration operated in the dark. That’s how he governed and that’s how he got himself elected, in lies and in stealth, and the news media did the rest. They covered for him. They let him get away with murder – and in this case, that is not a cliché, it’s fact. Today, in eye-popping news, we learn, from the New York Post via

Baltimore’s mayor asked the FBI to send in reinforcements Wednesday to help the city get its murders under control. Mayor Catherine Pugh, speaking at a news conference, explained she went to the FBI’s Baltimore office for extra agents to join with police officers in combating a skyrocketing murder count, reports CNN. “Murder is out of control. There are too many guns on the streets. We’re looking for all the help we can get,” Pugh said. The city already has 101 murders for the year, a number not seen in almost 20 years. The mayor’s spokesperson warned the violence could rise

Muslim reformer Zuhdi Jasser has recently attacked leaders of the anti-Jihad movement in America. He equated them with jihadists when he called them the derogatory word, alt-jihadists, meaning that Americans who speak and write against the evils of Islamic jihad and sharia are just as bad as jihadists. (snip)I have always respected what Zuhdi Jasser was trying to do and avoided contradicting him in public, even though I do not believe that Islam is reformable. I have kept my opinion to myself regarding the false hope Muslim reformers are giving to the Americans regarding Islam. But when Jasser attacked leaders
