In a major victory in the ongoing Lois Lerner scandal at the IRS, non-profit election integrity organization True the Vote defeated an IRS motion to quash discovery in True the Vote v. IRS. The ruling means that everyone involved in the scandal could be compelled to submit every document related to the case and be deposed by True the Vote´s legal team. From their press release: Judge Reggie Walton of U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia just issued a critical order in True the Vote v. IRS case. The order compels the IRS to submit to discovery and

Love this. Lerner could come clean but she won´t. True the Vote expects more dodging from Lerner and Koskenin. Trump needs to fire Koskenin. I hope Lerner spends every penny she has on legal fees.

Case will surely be appealed by what can only be called the Obama/Trump IRS to the full appeals court for review. This D.C. Appeals court is stuffed with Obama appointees. If either side loses at this level, it´s onto the Supreme Court in 10/18. The Supremes then have to decide whether to grant a review, which would occur in 2019. This time frame means that the IRS, which has already admitted to erasing 47 of Lois Lerner´s back up email files, will find and erase all other incriminating records. Only taxpayers have to keep records under penalty of law.

Sadly, Trump´s IRS is part of this obstruction, meaning that this particular swamp wiil not be drained and Lois Lerner and the people who aided and abetted her Tea Party obstruction will never be brought to justice. I hope that I am wrong.

The Courts exert total control over Republicans as seen in the trashing of Trump´s immigration order re: Terrorist States.

But Leftists who run to the courts for help in sidestepping the rule of law also feel empowered to disregard any court rulings which might hinder their activities.

They effectively abuse the courts coming and going while conservatives patiently suffer the rule of law and watch the whole thing go to hell........again.

Will the IRS cough up the documents ?

Never.

Nothing is going to happen until their are firings, personal fines, jailing, and complete reworking of the IRS or change to another type of tax structure.

Here is my far left looking solution, written by a conservative, who is almost libertarian.
The U.S. needs to create NATIONAL ID CARDS WITH THE PERSON´S DNA EMBEDDED. At the same tine, we need a flat income tax, with no deductions.
The national ID card would serve as voter registration/voter ID.
If we did that, we would turn the IRS into a book keeping operation, of tiny size, compared to today, We would eliminate voter fraud, depoliticize the IRS, and have a DNA base to check when certain crimes are committed. Illegal immigrants would also be cut down.
If my Giant Eagle grocery store can issue a card that works, so can the federal government.
I know this sounds ´big brother´ but...

Does anyone else wonder who within the Administration is holding the IRS stopper firmly in the swamp drain?

This will be fun.

Why is Koskenin still at IRS? This is incredible.

Let´s hope that much criminality is uncovered and prosecuted.

We know that President Obama had it in for Gen. Michael Flynn. The former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency was a persistent critic of Obama’s feckless policies, especially regarding ISIS. Obama reportedly advised president-elect Trump not to offer Flynn a high level position. According to this report from Circa, the FBI’s Andrew McCabe also had an ax to grind with Flynn. A few years ago, Robyn Gritz, a supervisory special agent, filed a discrimination/retaliation claim against the FBI. Flynn supported Gritz’s claim. According to Circa, he wrote a letter of support in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationery, backed

Underscoring the earth´s ever-changing face, a new island has been spotted off the coast of North Carolina. The crescent-shaped landmass off the tip of Cape Point in Buxton started surfacing in spring and now it measures around one-mile long and more than 400 feet wide. Locals have dubbed the sandbar Shelly Island, because of the vast quantities of shells littering its shores. Scroll down for video (Photo) Janice Regan, who lives nearby, told the Virginian Pilot that it was actually her grandson who came up with the apt moniker. She added that the island was just a ´little bump´ in

The Senate Judiciary Committee is probing alleged political interference by former Attorney General Loretta Lynch in the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Last Thursday, two Republicans and two Democrats on the committee sent letters to four people, including Lynch. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Crime and Terrorism Subcommittee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Ranking Member Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) signed the letters, all pointing to an April 22, 2017 New York Times report that said the FBI obtained an email or memo "written by a Democratic operative who expressed confidence that Ms. Lynch would keep

Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the White House Press Corps on Tuesday that CNN was “a disgrace to journalism.” Sanders’s remarks came after CNN retracted a “fake news” story over the weekend alleging links between a member of President Donald Trump’s transition team and a Russian firm, and after an exposé on Monday by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas showed a CNN producer admitting the Russia story was “bullsh*t.” (Video) Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump had blasted CNN on Twitter, along with other mainstream media networks. McConnell, of Kentucky, said he wants to make changes to the bill and vote after senators return from the holiday break. “We will not be on the bill this week, but we will still be working to get at least 50 people in a comfortable place,” McConnell said at a news conference at the Capitol. President Donald Trump broke a long standing White House tradition of hosting a dinner to celebrate Ramadan, a Muslim religious holiday. Hosting an Iftar dinner to mark the end of Ramadan fasting is a tradition that started in the Clinton years and was continued by Presidents Bush and Obama. Over the past two decades presidents have honored the holy day by hosting such a dinner. Thomas Jefferson was the first president noted in history to host Itfar in 1805 with an invitation to the dinner stating ´Dinner will be on the table precisely at sun-set – ´ the invitation read. ´The favour

Former national security adviser and UN ambassador Susan Rice refuses to go quietly into retirement, even though she remains one of the most controversial figures of the Obama Administration. Now, thanks to a glowing profile in New York Magazine, we know that despite Susan Rice’s very public shortcomings (whatever happened to that dastardly filmmaker who spurred violence across the Middle East, anyway?), she believes any criticism of her tenure is at least partly the result of racism and sexism. When asked why she became a “target” in the Trump Administration, she replied, “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about

Actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner was shredded by social media users over the weekend after he called for an “all out war” to resist President Donald Trump. Writing on Twitter Sunday, the All in the Family star mentioned a Fox News report about the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 election. “When Fox says that DT colluding with the enemy is not a crime, the fight to save Democracy is now an all out war. US-Stay strong. #Treason,” he wrote. (Tweet) Reiner’s remarks were slammed by several social media users, many of them suggesting that the actor’s tweet

I’ve been talking about the importance of protecting against voting-machine hacks since 2002. And now, finally, people are starting to take me seriously. The move to paperless voting started in response to the Florida “hanging chad” fiasco in the 2000 presidential election. Some people (like me) thought this was a mistake, but such concerns were often dismissed. Now, apparently, you can’t be paranoid enough. As Politico’s Bob King noted, while 10 years ago critics of paperless voting were called paranoid, now both parties are worried. It remains true that there is no actual evidence that a single vote was changed by hackers

Ohio Gov. John Kasich came out against the Senate Republican health care bill Sunday, saying both Republicans and Democrats need to do a better job at helping poor people. “Both parties ought to be worried about poor people, because I don’t think either party particularly cares about helping poor people,” Mr. Kasich, who lost the Republican Party’s presidential nomination to President Trump last year, told CNN’s Dana Bash. “You look at the rates of poverty, the problems in this country,” he continued. “We have not designed a system to get people work.
