President Obama’s former photographer posted a photo response to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) and musicians Ted Nugent and Kid Rock mocking a portrait of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a White House visit on Thursday. Pete Souza´s photo, posted to Instagram, shows Obama sitting with his White House chief of staff Bill Daley beneath a portrait of former President Ronald Reagan. Palin and Nugent can be seen in their Thursday photo standing beside Clinton’s official first lady portrait while making exaggerated gestures as Kid Rock stands with his arms folded. Souza is known to use his Instagram

It took me a while to access Souza´s photo, but I finally succeeded...

I took my kids on a White House tour just after that portrait was installed early in the Bush administration. It´s at the start of the tour just as one enters the White House so its one of the first things a visitor sees. What I thought was so funny is that it´s opposite the display of the china from past presidents. She will forever look at it longingly.

...I realize that the Daily Mail refers to it as "mocking", but I think everyone from the left is just winding themselves up a bit too tight...

...Kid Rock has his arms crossed, Nugent is holding his jacket lapel and Palin doesn´t want her hand in front of Ted´s crotch...

...and I pulled out my magnifying glass and no, she isn´t even flipping Hillary...

...how long before it can be rotated OUT..?

The Souza “response” to the Palin-Nugent-Rock carrying the annotation “Being respectful” has no significance because it is comparing apples to oranges. The individuals in front of the Hillary Clinton portrait, as celebrities, do not command the “formality” expected of a President as displayed in front of the portrait of President Ronald Reagan.

So why did Hillary get a WH portrait? She was not elected to Preezy or VicePreezy? Does SOS or Jr NY Senator get you a WH portrait? I would think the portrait w/b of Pres BJ with his wife Hillary sitting in a chair by his side - not alone as if she got there by herself?

#9, There have been First Lady portraits in the White House apaprently since Martha Washington. https://www.whitehousehistory.org/galleries/first-lady-portraits

I have never been all that Never-Sarah. I also have a sense of humor. But I doubt the President himself was very happy about these particular highjinx being published, so for me--the point goes to Souza.

This gang is a bit too Jacksonian for me and I would like the White House restored to dignity and respect. Maybe they should have designated times for horsing around in the Oval Office and White House (talking to you too, Ivanka) before which the participants would be frisked for cameras and smart phones.

At a lunch at the White House on Monday with more than a dozen UN ambassadors, President Trump poked some fun at his own UN Ambassador Nikki Haley. [video] "Does everybody like Nikki?" Trump asked the assembled ambassadors as Haley sat by his side. Amid laughter Trump added: "Otherwise, she can easily be replaced." Cue awkward laughter. Now, Trump was joking. And everyone in the room -- including Haley -- understood that. But, that doesn´t mean he was entirely kidding. Two things we know about Trump suggest that beneath his attempt at humor was a hard-edged point. First, we know

BUDAPEST, Hungary — Hungary’s headstrong nationalist prime minister and Hungary’s most famous expatriate liberal billionaire are on a collision course in a battle over the future of a school. Protesters pledged to keep demonstrating against the government even after Prime Minister Viktor Orban pushed through legislation that critics fear could shut down a university founded by American-Hungarian investor and Democratic Party power broker George Soros. Mr. Soros has attracted staunch supporters and bitter critics in the U.S. with his willingness to put his fortune at the service of his liberal principles. The United States is preparing charges against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, CNN reported Thursday. U.S. officials familiar with the matter told CNN that prosecutors have found a way to move forward, after struggling to determine whether the First Amended protected Assange from prosecution. The Justice Department´s investigation of WikiLeaks can be traced back to 2010, after thousands of U.S. government files stolen by former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning appeared on the website. According to CNN, former President Obama´s Justice Department decided not to pursue charges against Assange because other mainstream publications also decided to publish the documents. The comments came a day after the AHCA received a boost in support from the House Freedom Caucus, which announced it would back the bill. The United Nations warned the Trump administration earlier this year that repealing ObamaCare without providing an adequate replacement would be a violation of multiple international laws, according to a new report. Though the Trump administration is likely to ignore the U.N. warning, The Washington Post reported the Office of the U.N. High Commission on Human Rights in Geneva sent an "urgent appeal" on Feb 2. The Post reported that the confidential, five-page memo cautioned that the repeal of the Affordable Care Act would put the U.S. “at odds with its international obligations.” The warning was sent to the State Department and reportedly said
