Warren Changes Media Strategy
Amid Low Home-State Poll Numbers

Washington Free Beacon, by Madeleine Weast

Original Article

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) has changed her media strategy amid low poll numbers in her home state by making herself more available to the press in Massachusetts. Warren´s "creative media-dodging habits are a running joke among her home-state press corps," Politico reported over the weekend. "Whenever the senator makes a public appearance, Massachusetts reporters know to keep one eye fixed on the exit doors." (Snip) A poll conducted in mid-January revealed that 46 percent of Massachusetts voters are ready to vote Warren out of office. Thirty-seven percent of poll respondents also said they disapprove of Warren. The senator may be working

Comments:
What a great strategy. Make more appearances before the media. s/o I guess she didn´t learn that when the evil criminal Clinton avoided the media her percentages rose. The same can be said about this obnoxious woman. Her numbers are already bad. When you aren´t popular in your own state this soon you have major problems. And that´s really saying a lot in a blue state like Mass.

Maybe Pocahontas can jive her native American Indian heritage again...after all, it´s worked twice before for Haaaarvaard and once to get her elected by the dumb libtards in MA who cry, weep, and seek safe spaces for the ´downtrodden´ minorities (even though she isn´t one).

Devin Nunes Explains
His White House Visit
Bloomberg View, by Eli Lake    Original Article

For the last few days, much of Washington has been obsessed with what Representative Devin Nunes did last Tuesday evening. That was the night before Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, made the explosive allegation that he had viewed dozens of intelligence reports obtained through government eavesdropping that inappropriately included details about the Trump transition team. (Snip) Most important, Nunes told me these reports were sent to the Obama White House among other executive branch agencies. Nunes until now had only said the reports he viewed were widely distributed inside the government. "The reports included details about the Trump

Daily Caller, by Juliegrace Brufke    Original Article

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said he predicts Republicans’ efforts on tax reform will have a similar outcome to their attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare. (Snip) While the White House has expressed hopes they can include Democrats in the process, Schumer said if they plan to pass the measure using the reconciliation process, they will run into some issues. “Now that the jig is finally up on health care, our Republican friends have signaled they will turn to taxes. I hope they have learned the lessons of Trumpcare,” he said on the Senate floor Monday. “One of the reasons

Fox’s Neil Cavuto ended his show this afternoon by criticizing the “over-the-top negative media response” to President Trump. Last week Cavuto said that while some of the media’s complaints about the Trump administration are important ones, there is a lot of unhinged “rage” going on in the press that keeps many from being fair. And while Fox has been criticized by other press outlets for not being tough enough on the president, Cavuto said today there are other outlets that are being way too biased against him. He made it clear that Trump “doesn’t much like me,” but Cavuto went on to observe,

White House says Trump

Washington Times, by Dave Boyer    Original Article

The White House said Monday that President Trump is “absolutely” serious about working with Democrats on health care legislation after conservative Republicans balked at a GOP plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. “We learned a lot through this process,” said White House press secretary Sean Spicer. “If we can come up with resolution on a way to move forward, we’ll certainly entertain that. I don’t think we’ve seen the end of health care.” Mr. Trump criticized the conservative House Freedom Caucus for failing to support the administration-backed bill last week, saying they were allowing Obamacare to remain in place and

An FBI undercover agent encouraged a terrorist to “tear up Texas” before the 2015 Garland, Texas shooting, and was at the crime scene and failed to stop or engage the perpetrators. This was revealed in an investigation by CBS’s “60 Minutes” that aired Sunday. The Garland shooting left two terrorists, Elliot Simpson and Nadir Soofi, dead. They attempted to attack an event featuring cartoons of the Muslim prophet Mohammed, but were stopped by local police. (Snip) “After the trial we found out that they had had an undercover agent who had been texting with Simpson, less than three weeks before the attack,

Friday night on Fox News’ The First 100 Days, host Martha MacCallum interviewed the attorneys defending one of the illegal immigrants accused of raping a 14-year-old girl at Rockville High School, just over a week ago. The two lawyers defending 17-year-old Jose Montano blasted what they called the “sensationalized” coverage of the story, (despite the media blackout of its coverage). The primary defense attorney even blamed Trump’s immigration policies for spurring undue outrage at the story. The segment began with correspondent Doug McKelway introducing Montano’s “high profile” and “respected” lawyer, David Wooten, who had been hired privately by his family. The

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Monday stepped up his criticism of House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, calling on House Speaker Paul Ryan to replace him. "Without further ado, Speaker Ryan should replace Chairman Nunes," the Senate minority leader said from the floor. "If Speaker Ryan wants the House to have a credible investigation, he needs to replace Chairman Nunes." Nunes caused an uproar last week when he told the press that he had seen intelligence showing that members of President Trump´s transition team had been caught up in surveillance operations — without first discussing the information with fellow committee members. With the words "credibility questioned" prominent on the screen, Scott Pelley once again is doing what network evening-news anchors generally don´t do: abandoning careful neutrality in favor of pointed truth-telling. He is talking Thursday night about President Trump. And here are some of the words he is using: "his boasting and tendency to believe conspiracy theories." It´s nothing new. Pelley, of CBS Evening News, has set himself apart — especially in recent weeks — with a spate of such assessments, night after night. Perhaps the most notable one, on Feb. 7, went like this: "It has been a busy day

Ted Koppel had some harsh words for Fox News host Sean Hannity this morning. In a CBS ´Sunday Morning´ segment, the veteran news journalist said he thinks Hannity, a Fox News commentator, is ´bad for America´. Is a guaranteed paycheck from the government, with no strings attached, the answer to the relentless rise of automation? The concept might sound far-fetched, but a so-called universal basic income (UBI), is currently one of the most hotly debated policy topics being floated as a means to address income inequality and the disruption that technology poses to the workforce. UBI is being tested in Finland and other international markets, but has received decidedly mixed reactions. Meanwhile, developments in robotics and artificial intelligence have grave implications for the labor force. A report issued this week from consulting firm PwC found that

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Monday he’ll begin punishing sanctuary cities, withholding potentially billions of dollars in federal money — and even clawing back funds that had been doled out in the past. Speaking at the White House, Mr. Sessions said his department is preparing to dole out more than $4 billion in funds this year, but will try prevent any of it from going to sanctuaries. “Countless Americans would be alive today … if these policies of sanctuary cities were ended,” Mr. Sessions said. He said he’s carrying out a policy laid out by the Obama administration last year,
