The family of Ahmed Mohamed - better known as "Clock Boy - who brought a hoax bomb to his Middle School claiming it was a clock, had filed a defamation lawsuit against several parties who claimed on a Glenn Beck TV show that there was a connection between the hoax bomb and "the attendant media frenzy created in large part by his father Mohamed, civilization jihad, and the Counsel on American-Islamic Relations (“CAIR”)," (snip) The 3 hour court hearing did not go well for Clock Boy and his family: During the hearing, AFLC co-founder and senior counsel David Yerushalmi explained to
During the lengthy hearing, Judge Moore pressed Mohamed’s lawyer, Fort Worth attorney Susan Hutchison, to provide any facts that would suggest that Hanson and the other defendants had said anything false or defamatory about Mohamed or his son during the television broadcasts. After spending a painfully embarrassing 15 minutes flipping through reams of paper, Mohamed’s lawyer was unable to provide any such evidence.evidence.
We now have it on very good authority that Trump Derangement Syndrome is a genuine phenomenon, widespread among DC journalists. The existence of actual physical symptoms of this mental disorder has been confirmed by a very well-connected member of Team Hillary, someone with a wide circle of friends and acquaintances among the overlapping spheres are Hillary supporters and journalists. (snip) "One friend´s doctor jokingly called it Trumporrhoea – they [the reporters] are all exhausted, coming down with insomnia, gastrointestinal disorders, these physiological reactions….”
Fox cannot fire Bill O’Reilly because it is not their platform. That belongs to me. And you. And O’Reilly. It certainly does not belong to a couple of trust fund kids and their trophy wives playing dress-up with Daddy’s toys. Nor does it belong to clueless analysts who say no one will notice when O’Reilly does not show up for work this week. "Fox has built a powerful platform that is the go-to place for people with a certain worldview and so to some degree it doesn’t matter who is on,” said Brian Wieser, a senior analyst of advertising, media and internet
On April 15, Jackson County, Missouri, prosecutors charged James R. Green Jr., 52, with six counts of second-degree statutory sodomy. Green was a teacher and coach at a middle school in the suburban North Kansas City School District. Green’s victim was a sixteen-year-old boy. It appears likely that Green was abusing other boys over a period of at least twelve years in at least two different school districts, and Green’s crime is not the half of it. I learned about this crime for one reason. In January, I became editor of a new, nonprofit, online publication -- Sentinelksmo.org -- designed to
The Russians are off the hook. The chattering geniuses have discovered a new villain to blame for the shattering demise of their heroine, Hillary. White guys did it. The same reporters who cheered Hillary’s every misstep and doubted every Trump triumph are now trying to convince us that Hillary would be wearing the presidential pants suits today if only her staffers had not forgotten about white voters. That is what we learned from Shattered, the latest 2016 campaign obituary that crashed into bookstores this week. The pundits were so busy misreporting the election, they did not listen to what was actually happening in the
The University of California, Berkeley, where the modern New Left student movement began with the Free Speech Movement of 1964, has come full circle, and has surrendered to the anti-free speech fascists of the left. (snip)There are plenty of law enforcement resources available to the University of California if it wished to preserve the tradition of open inquiry upon which the many public (i.e., taxpayer) subsidies and privileges available to UC are premised. When Governor Ronald Reagan faced a campus insurrection at Berkeley, he called in the National Guard and tear gassed the protesters in Sproul Plaza – the very
It must be tough being Chelsea Clinton, despite the ten-million-dollar apartment and the series of high paying jobs for which she had no qualifications, in which her tenure was brief. There are hordes of media sycophants desperate for a Clinton dynasty, and the Clinton political machine, bereft of its planned-for president, desperately needs a front-woman. So the pressure to be glamorous, thought-provoking, charismatic and above all, newsworthy is high, while the raw material available to Chelsea to meet these demands is less than impressive. Like the rapidly aging Madonna or the still-rising star Lady Gaga, Chelsea will grab at anything
Call it the tale of two National Security Advisers, Michael Flynn and Susan Rice. As much as Flynn has taken fire as being an architect of unspecified "collusion" with the Russians, Susan Rice has been like the iceberg that sank the Titanic -- barely visible above water but dangerous enough to threaten the Trump administration’s ship of state. (snip)Obama’s adviser was doing opposition research which involved data mining classified intelligence reports. Rice requested the unmasking of names, something only three people, according to Circa, were authorized to do: Dozens of times in 2016, those intelligence reports identified Americans who were directly
The Obamas have been taking a much-deserved break from politics since moving out of the White House. But next week, it´s back to reality. President Barack Obama will be in Chicago on Monday to discuss community organization and civic engagement. As we all know, the Obamas have impeccable taste in food, so it wouldn´t be surprising to see the former president surveying the Chicago dining scene when he returns stateside. Will he visit the renowned Alinea? Or return to an old Obama favorite, Spiaggia? Last September, my husband and I had a chance run-in with Barack and Michelle, who were in New York City for their last visit as
When we study racial inequality, we tend to consider factors that affect people while they are awake. Differential access to safe neighborhoods with good schools, decent jobs and unbalanced treatment by police and the courts surely have much to do with the stubborn disparities in wealth and well-being among blacks and whites, in particular. Yet it may be just as important to consider what happens when we’re asleep. Race shapes our sleep, a relationship that has surprising roots deep in our national past. African Americans suffer from a “sleep gap”: Fewer black people are able to sleep for the recommended
A review of Donald Trump´s business career would lead one to say that he has always over-promised and under-delivered. Whether his long list of bankruptcies in the ever-profitable casino business, the failures of his "university,´ steak, vodka or clothing lines, there has been a history of putting himself first, while ignoring the needs of his constituents. We may be seeing that play out in his approach to government, as well. As in business, Trump has a constituency of one … himself … just ask his stock and bond investors, his suppliers, contractors, laborers, or even his customers. Unlike Trump, they rarely,
American Airlines suspended a flight attendant after an altercation on Friday in which the attendant took a stroller from a woman traveling with two young children and then argued with other passengers. The episode was captured, in part, on video. The encounter, at San Francisco International Airport, occurred while the woman was boarding a Texas-bound flight. The attendant, whose name was not released by the airline, grabbed the stroller from the woman, who was carrying 15-month-old twins, a passenger who was nearby said.
Outraged Muslims are reportedly planning a May 1 demonstration at the Amazon headquarters in Seattle, Washington. The company is under fire after several Muslim security guards demanded time and space to pray five times a day, while on the job. The guards contend in a lawsuit filed this week that the subcontractor who employs them does not appropriately accommodate their faith and retaliates against those who speak out. The Service Employees International Union and the guards allege that Amazon grants high-earning tech workers conference rooms to pray in, but they do not provide the same accommodation for contracted security officers
WASHINGTON — The day before he upended the 2016 election, James B. Comey, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, summoned agents and lawyers to his conference room. They had been debating all day, and it was time for a decision. Mr. Comey’s plan was to tell Congress that the F.B.I. had received new evidence and was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton, the presidential front-runner. The move would violate the policies of an agency that does not reveal its investigations or do anything that may influence an election. But Mr. Comey had declared the case closed, and he believed
Fox News may have sent former CEO Roger Ailes packing in July of last year, but that has not slowed down the female employees at the network who have come forward alleging that they were sexually harassed by the disgraced executive. Another woman´s name was added to that list on Sunday, when CNN host Alisyn Camerota decided to break her silence and speak out, claiming that she too was one of Ailes´ victims. ´Yes, Roger Ailes did sexually harass me,´ Camerota announced during an appearance in ´Reliable Sources.´ Camerota, 50, worked at Fox News for 16 years before moving over
