MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Wednesday has been wrestling with how to handle unverified reports that surfaced in the media yesterday evening, and cohost Mika Brzezinski called out two key media outlets for taking part in what she calls the same sort of behavior that many wrongly engaged with before the election. Before President Barack Obama gave his farewell address in Chicago Tuesday night, there was a dizzying array of reports regarding President-elect Donald Trump and his connections to Russia. First, it a four-byline story from CNN: “Intel chiefs presented Trump with claims of Russian efforts to compromise him,” from Evan
Comments: I am sure no fan of Mika´s but I have to give her credit for speaking out. This all stinks so badly that it takes your breath away. Buzzfeed has always been a joke but Jake Tapper should know better. He should be fired for running with such a horrific, unconfirmed story. This is only going to help Trump.
This, as far as I can tell, is the pinnacle of CNN journalistic ethics. It only gets worse. CNN is nothing but a propaganda entertainment show (and not very good at that). As always, consider the source.
Milo Yiannopolous has been quiet since the University of California Berkeley practically burned down its own campus to prevent him from speaking, but the self-described “media sensation, conservative celebrity and youth culture icon” says he’s spent the last few months forming up a major media conglomerate and he’s ready to take on political correctness in a big way. (Snip) “I will spend every waking moment of the rest of my life making the lives of journalists, professors, politicians, feminists, Black Lives Matter activists and other professional victims a living hell,” Milo said in a statement on Facebook. “Free speech is
Popular 90s comedy series Roseanne will be the latest hit show set to return to TV, two decades after going off the air. An eight-episode limited series revival of the highly-rated ABC blue-collar family comedy is in the works, Deadline reports, with Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and other key cast members reprising their roles. The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning working-class comedy series quickly became a cult classic in its nine-season run between 1988 to 1997. While no network has yet been set for the revival, ABC and Netflix are reported to be the top choices. Netflix could be an attractive option
ATLANTA — Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. on Friday issued criticism that spanned the political spectrum, telling gun-rights activists that “rat bastards on the left” never give up while also saying some of the misadventures of the GOP-led Congress can be “very painful” to watch. “We won a huge battle last November, but we did not win the war,” Sheriff Clarke said at the NRA lobbying arm’s 2017 Leadership Forum. “You see, our fight for freedom continues in earnest.” (Snip) “You see, for them defeat is never final. Election defeats don’t matter,” he said. “It’s simply a
North Korea launched a ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan on Friday, but the missile "broke up in flight" and has been deemed a failure, two U.S. officials have confirmed to Fox News. The missile has been assessed to be a KN-17, a former Scud missile that officials believe is being tested to one day target ships. It flew roughly 25 miles and was in the air for about 15 minutes, officials tell Fox News. The KN-17 was launched from Pukchang. A White House official told Fox News that the U.S. is not suprised by this latest test, nor the fact that it failed. The White House is watching the situation closely and consulting with
Dr. Salomon Melgen was convicted on Friday for wrongfully billing the government more than $100 million in improper Medicare payments, the Palm Beach Post reported. A West Palm Beach, Florida jury found Melgen guilty of 67 counts of Medicare fraud after a trial that lasted about two months, followed by three days of deliberations. Prosecutors said that Melgen, an eye doctor, intentionally misdiagnosed patients in order to charge high prices to Medicare. (Snip) Dr. Melgen is also considered a major player in the corruption case of Senator Robert Menendez, which is scheduled to go to trial this fall. Sen. Menendez, a
For U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Adam Wylie, "Emra" -- the 9-year-old Belgian Malinois he was forced to leave behind in South Korea -- was more than a service dog. The canine filled the void of family when Wylie, a 12-year veteran of the armed forces, was deployed from 2012 to 2014 in South Korea where he was stationed around Osan Air Base. "She meant the world to me," Wylie, 33, told Fox News. The two -- separated for three years -- were reunited April 20 in Cincinnati in a heartwarming reunion that at first seemed improbable. Emra had retired
WASHINGTON – Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) said he hopes the Trump administration begins to “move back to a regular process” and “normalize” the admission of refugees into the United States. Over the Easter recess, Corker and Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) visited the Bidi Bidi refugee camp in Uganda, which houses about 270,000 people who fled the civil war in South Sudan. Corker was asked if he has recommendations for the Trump administration on refugees after his experience on the trip. “It’s my hope that what they’re going to do is go through a process of, as they’ve already
Saturday marks President Trump’s 100th day in office, and to celebrate the occasion he got a bit too candid in an Oval Office interview with Reuters. Obviously certain elements of being president are pretty fun, but President Trump has discovered that it isn’t all playing with trucks and pressing a button that makes Cokes appear. Sometimes there’s work to be done, and as it turns out being leader of the free world is a lot harder than running a fake university and playing a caricature of a rich person on TV.“I loved my previous life. I had so many things
So how much of our money did Obama ship to the terrorist regime in Iran? We hear $150 billion. We are not sure. Could be a dollar less, a dollar more. We’ll never know for sure. That’s because his entire administration operated in the dark. That’s how he governed and that’s how he got himself elected, in lies and in stealth, and the news media did the rest. They covered for him. They let him get away with murder – and in this case, that is not a cliché, it’s fact. Today, in eye-popping news, we learn, from the New York Post via
He has floated some conspiracy theories for years, but now President Donald Trump will get to play a crucial role in the long-running saga over the government´s Kennedy assassination records. The 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act, signed by President George H.W. Bush, set a 25-year timetable for declassification of assassination records dealing with President Kennedy. The law set up a single collection of records at the National Archives, and set up a process for declassification. The law required the release of all government records dealing with the assassination within 25 years – with the exception of those the president certifies for
Baltimore’s mayor asked the FBI to send in reinforcements Wednesday to help the city get its murders under control. Mayor Catherine Pugh, speaking at a news conference, explained she went to the FBI’s Baltimore office for extra agents to join with police officers in combating a skyrocketing murder count, reports CNN. “Murder is out of control. There are too many guns on the streets. We’re looking for all the help we can get,” Pugh said. The city already has 101 murders for the year, a number not seen in almost 20 years. The mayor’s spokesperson warned the violence could rise
Muslim reformer Zuhdi Jasser has recently attacked leaders of the anti-Jihad movement in America. He equated them with jihadists when he called them the derogatory word, alt-jihadists, meaning that Americans who speak and write against the evils of Islamic jihad and sharia are just as bad as jihadists. (snip)I have always respected what Zuhdi Jasser was trying to do and avoided contradicting him in public, even though I do not believe that Islam is reformable. I have kept my opinion to myself regarding the false hope Muslim reformers are giving to the Americans regarding Islam. But when Jasser attacked leaders
New york - Two conservative journalists have sparked outcry on social media by making what some have interpreted as a white supremacist hand symbol at a recent visit to the White House. Freelance journalist Mike Cernovich and Cassandra Fairbanks, a reporter for Russian news outlet Sputnik, posed for a picture behind the podium in the White House briefing room. In the photo, they are making a hand sign that can be used to signify “white power.” “Just two people doing a white power hand gesture in the White House,” Fusion senior reporter Emma Roller tweeted, alongside a screenshot of the picture.
The many versions of Caitlyn Jenner, chronicled in her new book, The Secrets of My Life, have passed through a dizzying series of variations, from a Wheaties box-ready, gold medal-winning Olympian in her former identity as Bruce, to the henpecked husband and paterfamilias of the Kardashian clan and featured player in their reality-television juggernaut, to—at age 65, when she announced her biggest secret to the world—the planet’s most famous transgender woman.
