RFK Jr.’s deadly anti-vaccine ‘gospel’
New York Post, by Editorial

We’re relieved that Team Trump has denied Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s claim that the president-elect is naming him to chair a commission on “vaccination safety and scientific integrity.” That would’ve been putting a madman in charge of the asylum. RFK is the national spokesman for the Looney Tunes brigade that claims pediatric vaccines cause autism and a vast government conspiracy is to blame. The scientific consensus disproving these claims is overwhelming. Yet Kennedy has still traveled the nation preaching his ludicrous gospel — even at one time talking of “a holocaust” that’s “destroyed the lives of 20 million children.” Thanks to such quackery,

On one hand, naming him to the group might have been a good thing. He would be surrounded by people that very much pro-scientific evidence and the resultant report would be exactly like all the other studies that are pro-vaccine. He would then be standing out there all alone and exposed as a fake for all to see. Just a thought.

Just the Kennedy name alone speaks of a legacy of social engineering and power-mongering. We´ve managed to put the name of Clinton in its proper place in history, I hope someday we can scrape the remnants of the Kennedy family into the dustbin of history as well. Dump them right on top of Oblahblah as a pile of the most vile examples of Leftism.

I really despise the Kennedys and hold them in contempt...

It is sad to see good people struggling to deal with autism and its enormous challenges. How tempting then, to seize on an easy, finger-pointing ´answer,´ blaming Big Pharma and evil doctors for our troubles. Unfortunately, the blamers are victims of bad science, a charlatan´s old faked numbers, and a sleazy politician´s grab for witch-hunt fame. The theory was totally discredited years ago, and long after the mercury compounds were removed, even in unvaccinated children, we still have autism. Later studies by reputable institutions point to genetic developmental damage. Those poor gullible souls who believed the bad science, and still refuse to vaccinate their children do a huge disservice to not only their own little ones, but to others. Such ignorance and superstition is shameful. And I am appalled that Trump would appoint that corrupt Kennedy idiot to any public post. What a terrible, stupid move. Plays right into the preconception that Trump is an ignoramus, scientically illiterate. Hate to see the Dems nodding triumphantly and saying, "Toldja so."

I´ve heard all the reports and studies. But no one can tell me why that in a 10 year period, three families in our neighborhood had 2 autistic kids, 1 deaf child, another with JRA.
Their families did not have any history with any of these diseases. There were two other families with a total of 9 other kids. They didn´t get the shots. They were all healthy.

Perhaps this is the one designated to NOT be confirmed. Hmm
You know that at least one nominee is likely to not be confirmed, let it be Joe.

Have always thought it was up to the President-elect to announce his commissions and appointments. That is why skepticism reigned when it was read that Robert Kennedy, Jr. announced his own appointment.

Also, was very surprised to see that the major news media ran with what Kennedy said without first confirming it with the Trump people. On second thought, maybe not so surprised.

The fake news is getting deep. There is no such thing as a "scientific consensus", it´s an oxymoron. There is scientific evidence, there is scientific theory, and there is human consensus, but there is no such thing as scientific consensus.

For the record I do not believe in conspiracy theories, they are almost always a hoax. Vaccines have a large body of scientific evidence that they are generally safe, with a very small percentage of negative reactions.

“...with a very small percentage of negative reactions. …”

Therein lies the problem! And if my child is the only one not vaccinated how is he a danger to all the other children who HAVE been vaccinated?

And mercury has not been removed from Flu vaccine. Read the enclosed paper!

By the way, I despise JFK, Jr. and all he stands for!
Please, Donald, find someone else!

Not vaccinating kids only works because of those who were willing to take the risk. So they are reaping the rewards of protection on the backs of others.

What #12 said, in spades.

NOTHING is 100% risk free. We are all dead, in the end.

Getting out of bed every day is a risk, but so is staying in bed.

The risks of not vaccinating children are many millions of times worse than any risks of vaccinating children. In centuries past, typically 1/5th to half of children died in their youth.

Around 100 million people died worldwide only a century ago from the flu. Smallpox killed millions, too. Now we can get vaccinated against them, and even if they miss the mark a bit on the flu strain, it is just a minor inconvenience for a few days. Smallpox is almost gone. Now it is rare that a child dies of disease.

Vaccinations is a huge part of the reason. Eliminate them and the diseases will roar back and once again scythe down millions of children and adults.

Vaccinate your kids. Not to do so is parental neglect. As the earlier poster said, there used to be a world with no protection against diseases. Now that they are available, it is beyond foolish not to protect your children as much as possible.

Agree with #2 - a health-professional relative and also a pediatrician friend have many children patients who developed autism immediately after receiving childhood immunizations. Two major points: first, the actual anti-disease components of these vaccines are probably not the problem - it´s the extra stuff they put in the formulas (called adjuvants) that probably cause the damage. (E.g., there is still thimerisol (mercury) in some vaccines); second, the practice of giving multiple vaccines at the same time can overload the very tender immune systems of children, especially those who are naturally "weak" or susceptible to reactions. The hysteria that an unvaccinated child is a major health risk is overblown and being used to sell the pro-vaccine case. What happened to just having and recovering from a childhood disease that rendered the person immune for life?

Agree with #2 and #15, particularly #2´s last sentence...
As a first-time gramma who was raised a Christian Scientist [not seeing doctors, but know better now as well as now a Believer in Christ] as a child and having had measles and was quarantined in home by my then wise parents, doing much research and have one question to pediatricians and others?

Why does a newborn baby before leaving hospital need a hepitatis B vaccine who has had no illegal drug use or unprotected sex?

The answer is "To get parents in the ´system´ for over 50 more vaccines."

If you look at a map that shows occurrences of typical childhood disease in the Los Angeles area, for example, all of the outbreaks are in the prosperous west side. There were no instances - none - in East LA because parents there have their children vaccinated. Kids in West LA are taking advantage of the herd immunity that´s created when 90%-plus of children are vaccinated.

Of course, discuss a sensible plan and schedule for vaccinating children with your pediatrician - there´s no need to take all the vaccinations at once! - but by all means do vaccinate your children. Their young lives depend on it, and your children depend on you to do the right thing.

BTW the British doctor who concocted the myth that vaccinations cause autism lost his medical license for having faked data in his "study." This is fake news if ever there were any.

One of the primary foci of the current cultural zeitgeist features the preoccupation, mounting to an obsession, with one or another form of sex, the more aberrant the better: The phobic obsession with rape, sympathetic coverage of re-assignment surgery and body modification, injunctions against deadnaming and heteronormativity, the emphasis on cisgender guilt, the sanctifying of gay marriage, the injustices of something called the “patriarchy,” the explosion of sexual harassment charges against media and political celebrities, the emphasis on sexualizing criminal justice proceedings in favor of women (aka gender disparity), and even legal bestiality. Tokyo- It is not yet obvious that the dominant political leader of the Age of Donald Trump will be Donald Trump. Others are vying for that distinction, including Theresa May of Britain and Shinzo Abe of Japan. Like Trump, Abe came to power on a claim that his country´s economy had been mismanaged. He felt the interests of his nation were poorly understood by politicians at home and sometimes disrespected abroad. Are you are still wondering whether to Exit Paris? Overseas and US officials, environmentalists and bureaucrats urge you to Remain. But you promised voters you would Exit. Please keep your promises. Exit Paris isn’t about the environment. It’s about letting us utilize our fossil fuel energy to create jobs, rebuild our economy, and Make America Great Again. It’s about avoiding immense transfer payments from the USA to foreign governments, bureaucrats and parties unaccountable to Trump-voting taxpayers. Worse, even if the USA Remains, and the repulsive payments flow, Paris offers no help in removing real air pollutants. Carbon dioxide isn’t one of them,

The Putin regime is hostile to the United States. Donald Trump’s infatuation with forging an alliance with Russia (much like his infatuation with crafting a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians whose objective is to destroy Israel) has always struck me as reckless, occasionally repugnant, and always hopelessly naïve. Similarly naïve, and obnoxious to the American tradition of resisting royalty, is President Trump’s reliance in major matters of policy on his son-in-law and daughter, two young people who have little if any experience in many of their swelling areas of responsibility. During pre-trial hearings and jury selection in Pittsburgh, ahead of the June 5 start of his sexual assault trial in Philadelphia, the 79-year-old comedian refused to stay in local hotels because of perceived threats. Instead he woke up at 2:30 every morning to fly his private jet to the courthouse from his suburban Philly home. “He and his wife are afraid that if he stayed at a hotel, someone will find a way to

The government in exile — the real one, according to the media — has had a busy week at home and abroad. “President Obama” has given up leading from behind and presumes now to lead from overseas. His secretary of state has a new mission, as missionary to the safe places where snowflakes fall. Mr. Obama joined German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin to lecture America and the West to quit being so beastly to the strivers of the Third World, and open wider the borders of the West. “We can’t isolate ourselves,” the former president said from a platform at

Earth is likely to reach more dangerous levels of warming even sooner if the U.S. retreats from its pledge to cut carbon dioxide pollution, scientists said. That’s because America contributes so much to rising temperatures. President Donald Trump, who once proclaimed global warming a Chinese hoax, said in a tweet Saturday that he would make his “final decision” this coming week on whether the United States stays in or leaves the 2015 Paris climate change accord in which nearly every nation agreed to curb its greenhouse gas emissions. Hillary Clinton’s inner circle is concerned that the “resistance” that cropped up in the wake of President Donald Trump’s electoral win isn’t embracing the failed Democratic Presidential candidate as their de facto leader. As of late, Hillary has taken to marketing herself as the leader of the anti-Trump resistance, Tweeting about her defeat, haranguing Trump in public appearances and “persisting” despite her loss. It’s clear from Clinton’s Twitter feed, paid speeches, and comments that she wants to lead the mostly female opposition to Trump’s policy agenda. But according to sources close to Clinton’s inner circle, she’s yet again failing in
