At one point in President Obama´s interview with ABC News that aired over the weekend, George Stephanopoulos noted that "the Democratic Party got pretty hollowed out on your watch, about 1,000 seats lost in the Congress, Senate, governors, state houses." Then he asked: "Is that on you?" It was a good question. Since Obama took office, Democrats´ fortunes have plummeted. The party lost 900 seats in state legislatures, 12 governorships, 69 House seats and 13 Senate seats. Clearly, whatever leadership Obama provided, it wasn´t helping Democrats connect with voters across the country. So what was Obama´s response? At first, he
Does anyone expect this "Cool" one to except any blame. In his interview he even pulled GWB into his mess. Can´t wait for his speech tonight, lying once again about all he has accomplished. The man talks with a Fork Tongue!
Yeah but he really did stimulate the economy. Probably spent over three billion on fund raisers, vacations for himself & family and golf. I don´t know about you but that stimulates the hxll out of me!!!
If it were not for failures, the Clown Prince would be leaving no fingerprints at all on this Earth. The democrats own you, Stinky, and their failure is a direct result of your stupid attempts at dictatorship. Having the IRS enforce your failed attempt at health care control and assessing a fine for not paying was the final straw for me. I have fought for this country for too many years to have a skinny, brain dead, arrogant Kenyan give me orders and tell me I have to do something.
Just skating through, kicking the can down the road at great cost to the nation, its well being and its status in the world as the last standard bearer of economic and moral decency in the world.
We are not yet ´like every other country´ wallowing in graft and corrupt politicians taking advantage of people yearning to breathe free yet, but with no pushback from those should have exposed it, we have been severely weakened.
He failed to take us down, but he made a tremendous effort attempting to take away our remaining modesty and virtue.
I wish people would stop trying to blame Obambi for stuff. He has been just too busy saving the world and making sure its a better [lace for me and you. We are lucky to have a Messiah like Obambi. He is just so perfect. I know cause he tells us he is all the time.
Business started crumbling the day this guy opened his trap standing behind a little podium with the seal of the Office of the president Elect attached to it. Remember this. Hussien was saying then how business was going to be taxed more. And pay for health care. Before the jerk was sworn in in a Koran, the economy started to tank. And the media and hussien blamed GWB. He takes no blame. I just wish he would move back to kenya
His comments are absolutely cringe-worthy. He is one of those people you meet at a country club charity event who shoots his mouth off constantly saying the most inappropriate things and his poor assistants are constantly tugging on his arm trying to shut him up. But he just can´t help himself. People keep walking away and trying to avoid him because he seems to effervesce nausea due to his pitiful inability to see the grotesque embarrassment he is causing everyone in the room, particularly to his oblivious self.
And so it starts, the interviews, the self analysis, the water thin excuses. Many more to come, all with slightly different takes on failure, but never touching on reality´s truth.
The guy will have lots of free time to read all the brutal, accusatory articles that also are going to be written. His reaction will probably be more public appearances searching for the love. Michelle, bitter bunny she, won´t be much help.
Fake president interviewed by an equally fake journalist. At least Obama had his boots cleaned by Stephanopoulos. Although New Zealand immigration authorities may question shoe polish on George´s tongue.
Sadly, this is what we are told is news by ABC and their media ilk.
BO is dangerously mentally ill. It is fortunate we are not worse off that we are. What is scary is that the remnants of the dem party and the media supported him unflinchingly.
The backfire in 2010 was directly linked to BOCare and other dem overreach. Only a crazy person could not see that. Now, if you are a dem, you might see that as misguided and unfair. I think the dems got off light in 2010 and it still baffles me that BO got reelected. However, the CAUSE of the shift in the choice of the electorate was in the White House (and it wasn´t Biden) and the dems in Congress.
This blindness to reality is something that anyone that has dealings with BO in the future should WELL remember.
Media Bias: The economy´s weak 0.7% growth in the first quarter was disappointing, to say the least, the worst gain in three years. But to the Trump-despising big media, it seems, it´s really a sign of his failure. CBS and the Associated Press tell us the first quarter´s "lackluster beginning ... marks the first quarterly economic report card for President Donald Trump, who has vowed to rev up the U.S. economy." The Wall Street Journal, which should know better, called the number "the broadest report card on the economy in the nearly 100 days since President Donald Trump took office pledging a
Big Government: We hear endless lamentations about the alleged gender pay gap. But what about the other, very real, pay gap? The one where government workers make far more than their private sector counterparts. To get a clear picture of public-private pay gap, the Congressional Budget Office looked at pay scales from 2011 through 2015, controlling for things like location, occupation, veteran status, demographics, as well as education. It found that among those with a high school diploma, federal civilian workers earned 34% more, on average, than similar workers in the private sector. But government workers also get benefits that are 93%
Socialized Health Care: Never let it be said that California doesn´t march to the beat of a different drummer. While the rest of the country has had second, third and even fourth thoughts about having a single-payer health care system, the Golden State boldly marches forward into fiscal oblivion. As the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday, "A sweeping measure that would establish government-run universal health care in California cleared its first legislative hurdle Wednesday as scores of supporters crammed into the Capitol to advocate for a single-payer system." Let´s unpack that sentence a bit. It´s true that so-called State Bill 562 is
Money in Politics: President Obama´s devotees no doubt had hoped he would come out swinging against President Trump. Instead, the only thing he´s done so far is cash in on his presidency with a massive book deal and a six-figure speech gig. Earlier this month, Obama reportedly signed a book deal with Penguin Random House for more than $65 million for one book written by him and another written by Michelle. (The exact amount wasn´t made public.) Assuming that figure is correct and they both write 500 page books, that amounts to roughly $144 per word for each of them. After writing
Cutting Taxes: President Trump´s much-awaited tax reform plan is here. As promised, it will deeply cut taxes, make the code simpler and help restore economic growth, job creation and entrepreneurship. It´s the most pro-growth tax plan since the Reagan Boom, and that´s saying a lot. At the unveiling of the tax reform plan on Wednesday, the White House described it as "the biggest individual and business tax cut in American history." That´s no lie. And here´s a surprise: one group that will especially benefit, but seldom gets mentioned, is Millennials. If Trump´s supply-side tax-cut magic works as it should, many of these young
Regulations: One of the least appreciated decisions by President Trump has been his appointing Ajit Pai to run the Federal Communications Commission. Pai has long been a skeptic of the FCC´s manhandling of industry, and is pushing to get the government out of the internet. The FCC imposed "net neutrality" rules on the internet in February 2015. The argument made by consumer groups and some industry players was that — without federal intervention — internet service providers would treat traffic differently, charging more for those who seek to get in the fast lane. Net neutrality would, advocates said, keep the
Taxes: If White House rumors are correct, President Trump is about to make slashing the corporate tax rate to 15% the centerpiece of his tax-reform plan. It´s a smart move. Not only will it kick start the economy and job growth, but it´s likely he´ll be able to get bipartisan support. Right now, there is no consensus on broad-based tax reform. So, at least for now, a broad tax reform package including tax cuts, fewer deductions and a flattening of tax rates may be tough to achieve. Even Republicans, who are eager for some kind reform, remain split on how
White House reporters launched a hard-hitting attack on Donald Trump Saturday at the annual Correspondents´ Association dinner - which the President pointedly snubbed. The president of the White House Correspondents Association, Jeff Mason, used the get-together at the Washington Hilton to strongly criticize a president who has used his first 100 days of power as an opportunity to attack the media. The absence of President Donald Trump, who has called the media ´fake,´ ´dishonest´ and even ´the enemy of the people,´ marks the first time a president has declined since Ronald Reagan in 1981, who was, at the time, recovering
Washington- Political analyst David Gergen delivered a harsh critique of President Trump´s campaign-style rally Saturday night in an appearance on CNN´s "Newsroom." "To bring your campaign speech into the presidency is something presidents rarely do," said Gergen, who has been a White House adviser to four presidents. "This was the most divisive speech I´ve ever heard from a sitting American president." Trump´s delivered a rousing address to a crowd of supporters in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania instead of attending the White House Correspondents´ Association dinner in Washington. The nearly-hour long speech began with attacks on the press and covered his tax plan,
He has floated some conspiracy theories for years, but now President Donald Trump will get to play a crucial role in the long-running saga over the government´s Kennedy assassination records. The 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act, signed by President George H.W. Bush, set a 25-year timetable for declassification of assassination records dealing with President Kennedy. The law set up a single collection of records at the National Archives, and set up a process for declassification. The law required the release of all government records dealing with the assassination within 25 years – with the exception of those the president certifies for
When someone is honestly 55 percent right, that’s very good and there’s no use wrangling. And if someone is 60 percent right, it’s wonderful, it’s great luck, and let him thank God. But what’s to be said about 75 percent right? Wise people say this is suspicious. Well, and what about 100 percent right? Whoever says he’s 100 percent right is a fanatic, a thug, and the worst kind of rascal. — An old Jew of Galicia In the final stretch of last year’s presidential race, Hillary Clinton and her team thought they were, if not 100 percent right, then very close.
New york - Two conservative journalists have sparked outcry on social media by making what some have interpreted as a white supremacist hand symbol at a recent visit to the White House. Freelance journalist Mike Cernovich and Cassandra Fairbanks, a reporter for Russian news outlet Sputnik, posed for a picture behind the podium in the White House briefing room. In the photo, they are making a hand sign that can be used to signify “white power.” “Just two people doing a white power hand gesture in the White House,” Fusion senior reporter Emma Roller tweeted, alongside a screenshot of the picture.
Muslim reformer Zuhdi Jasser has recently attacked leaders of the anti-Jihad movement in America. He equated them with jihadists when he called them the derogatory word, alt-jihadists, meaning that Americans who speak and write against the evils of Islamic jihad and sharia are just as bad as jihadists. (snip)I have always respected what Zuhdi Jasser was trying to do and avoided contradicting him in public, even though I do not believe that Islam is reformable. I have kept my opinion to myself regarding the false hope Muslim reformers are giving to the Americans regarding Islam. But when Jasser attacked leaders
Washington - Prominent Washington journalists, if not Hollywood stars, celebrated the First Amendment during the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, an event that lacked the glitter of past years because of the absence of the president of the United States. (Snip) “We’ve got to address the elephant that’s not in the room,” cracked the entertainment headliner, Hasan Minhaj of “The Daily Show” on TV’s Comedy Central. “The leader of our country is not here. And that’s because he lives in Moscow. It’s a very long flight. As for the other guy, I think he’s in Pennsylvania because he can’t take a joke.”
