Professor Michael Eric Dyson thinks that white people should have an ‘Individual Reparations Account’ to make donations to black institutions and individuals. (Snip) I agree with reparations, but maybe this is my white privilege speaking: I can’t imagine actually doing that. That is what I meant by an I.R.A.: an individual reparations account. You ain’t got to ask the government, you don’t have to ask your local politician — this is what you, an individual, conscientious, “woke” citizen can do. But charity can’t be the end of it, right? The Koch brothers gave the United Negro College Fund $25 million, but I
Comments: And you thought these arrogant, obnoxious racists couldn´t get worse!! This is just stunning! I´m sure that Americans want their hard earned money given to feral animals like those in Chicago, BLM, etc. NOT. I´m sick and tired of their victimhood BS! This guy is certifiable and they act like he is so brilliant. ´You ain’t got to ask the government??´ It´s enough to make you puke.
I have no problem with this idea. Let anyone who thinks they owe reparations create such an account. Then they can stop trying to get the government to force people who never wanted, or had, slaves to give money to people who never were slaves in reparation for the fact that some (a very small number) people once owned slaves in the U.S.
Well, let´s see: my taxes pay for EBT cards, welfare, Section 8 housing, free schools, medicaid, free emergency room, obama phones, and other freebies that I am forgetting right now. I don´t owe you anything.
Money is not the answer. Uncontrolled and unlimited underclass breeding is the culprit. Making babies for an 18 year income stream, a complete lack of parental guidance and avoidance of worthwhile educational standards and you got what we GOT!!! Just saying.
It is your white privilege speaking. What privileged white professor says " you AINT got to Ask the government. " Sir. Your command of the English language tells me you should have paid attention in English class". As far as me making reparations to people who had nothing to do with being a slave, I can only say, go jump into a lake. I was not alive at the time of slavery and neither were they.
We´ve been held as captive slaves all over the streets of America for decades into the 21st century. We fear for our very lives because blacks have criminalized our lives with intimidation, ceaseless demands and violence.
Tell me, how many blacks would have gone to war and died for whites in the Civil War if the situation had been reversed?
With all the handouts your folks have gotten over the years, YOU OWE US A BUNDLE!
By the way, since ´Slavery´ is Involuntary Servitude, when do I get reparations for being drafted into the Army. I had a Hut and Food and enough pay to buy cigarettes your folks had the same, so where are MINE?
I´ve been making "donations" to minorities my whole life for things which I had no responsibility for. Slavery, Jim Crow, segregation: all brought to us by the demoncrats, who want everyone else to pay for their actions, good or bad. I´m done making "donations" of my time and effort, in lost opportunities, employment, promotions, and scholarships I never got because of Affirmative Action. I finally have a well-paying job and I´m keeping it all. Go beg from someone else, if you are too stupid or lazy to get an education and a job.
Considering my family immigrated here after 1900 and I´ve had a substantial portion of my earnings confiscated and redistributed to what government statistics say are still society´s dregs because of crime (I have been armed-robbed twice by black "youths"), fatherless families, and work ethics, MY take is that black Americans OWE ME for all that their elected agents have stolen from ME.
The account is so far over drawn all black institutions and individuals owe billions already for all the services and freebees they have received over the years. When are they going to start to pay the country back?
Give a black racist con man enough money to say something and sure enough just let me a trained monkey it will say it. If this is the collective intelligence of the minority , you are wasting your money.
I´m confused. Somebody please explain who deserves a share of my retirement fund: The descendants of those who worked on my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great Grandfather´s farm? Those people worked hard, as did many-greats Grandfather. When they were freed, well before the civil war, most kept our unusual family name, many accepted the plot of land and home they were offered, the training in a livelihood. Many began businesses and trades that supported them and their offspring comfortably. Some of their descendants became famous and very wealthy, as professionals, athletes, actors and scholars. They, and we, did well. Their so-distant cousins back in Africa who didn´t get captured by their warring neighbors, sold to Arab slavers, transported by Portuguese sailors, sold again by Dutch traders, how are they getting along these days? Still living in mud huts, warring with neighboring tribes, dying of pestilence and starvation? Hello??? Y´all are very welcome.
What about all the descendants of black slave holders here in the States? The first slave holder in Georgia was a black man. They gotta pay their fair share, Can we deduct all the welfare benefits and charges for room and board from black prisioners too?
I believe in Reparations but not because of slavery. Reparations should be paid to Vietnam Veterans who risked their lives only to have politicians pull the plug on the war.For a start all these individuals can be readily identified unlike "blacks" who might not have any connection to slavery or have just an ounce of black blood or whatever. We Vietnam Vets were screwed royally by being sent to that war and then spit upon when we returned. I would say that $1,000,000 tax free per Vietnam tour would suffice.
I hear you #18.... They´ve destroyed so much that was built by good people, workers who built solid brick structures that were meant to last forever but the ghetto-dwelling minority types RUINED THEM ALL, have you ever walked through a black neighborhood in Chicago or Detroit??????Seen what they´ve done to these wonderful brick buildings?
Detroit, Chicago, Oakland, Ferguson, Atlanta, Watts, LA and Baltimore for starters.....feel free to add.
I´ll submit that any reparations that are owed are owed by YOU NEGROES with the 73% illegitimate birth rate, the violence, the ignorance, the ebonics, the rap, the knock-out game,Al Sharpton, the Mall riots, the 4 blacks who just tortured that poor white kid!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they ALL left today I wouldn´t miss one of them...I mean it.
The State Department held stress management sessions following Donald Trump’s presidential election victory, providing employees tips for how to cope with change so they do not “become paralyzed by fear.” The workshops, titled “The Emotional Transition: Managing the Stress of Change,” were held by the State Department’s Bureau of Medical Services on Dec. 8 and 14, just one month after the department’s former boss, Hillary Clinton, was defeated. “Change is an inevitable part of the human experience,” an email invitation obtained by the Washington Free Beacon reads. “We can become paralyzed by fear or allow the experience of change to
Jehmu Greene, Fox News analyst and DNC chair candidate, faced off tonight with Tucker Carlson, who immediately confronted her about her recent reference to the “alleged” election. Greene brought up the Russian “attack on our democracy” and scolded Donald Trump for his attacks on John Lewis. Carlson honed in particularly on Democrats losing white people and he confronted Greene about recent comments from an ex-Bernie Sanders spokesperson that “we don’t need white people leading the Democratic party right now.” Greene said that’s not the message she wants to convey right now and talked up Democratic unity, but Carlson repeatedly pressed
Monday in Miami after attending a Martin Luther King Day event, while commenting on the controversy over Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) saying of President-elect Donald Trump he didn’t “see the president-elect as a legitimate president” and Trump’s tweeted response, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said he “hoped” the Trump would have responded differently “given everything that John Lewis means to our country.” Rubio said, “I have tremendous admiration for Congressman Lewis, not only for what he has done but what he stand for, and that remains undiminished. I don’t agree with him that President-elect Trump is illegitimate. I believe it was
A coalition of black pastors is unveiling its national agenda and addressing what it calls “the current sabotage that is inspiring civil unrest against the new president.” Led by Rev. William Owens (pictured), the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) convened in Washington, D.C. Saturday to formally “denounce racial over tones against President-elect Donald Trump and challenge other black leaders to cease pushing division among people of Color for political expediency.” “Leadership has to be proven,” Owens said. “The current path by Democrats and some Republicans is aimed strategically to disrupt, where in the end, it’s the citizenry that will lose; we
Democrat John Lewis gave an emotional speech this morning on Martin Luther King Day at a breakfast in Miami. Lewis told the audience he forgave a KKK member who attacked him and left him in a pool of blood. Lewis said several years later the man came to his office and asked for his forgiveness. And Lewis said he hugged him “in the power of peace and prayer” and forgave him. (Snip) But this weekend John Lewis said it would be “very difficult” to forgive Donald Trump. (It’s not clear what Trump did to demand his forgiveness?) NBC reported: Asked whether he would try
WASHINGTON—Protest organizers seeking to disrupt President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration want to “instill terror in” law enforcement for “violating people’s rights.” (Snip) “So we don’t want to cultivate a relationship between us and the police where they respect our rights. We want to instill terror in the police of violating people’s rights. And the best way to make this happen is to allow them to violate our rights and then to hit them back with legal consequences and publicity so that bad things happen to them when they do that,” a trainer from Cop Watch told meeting attendees. The trainer later explained,
RUSH: I mentioned Shelby Steele. I’ve quoted him often. He is a scholar at the Hoover Institute on the campus at Stanford. He is African-American, a very brilliant man, and very much to our benefit a conservative. One of the most recent pieces of his that I’ve come across is headlined: “The Perils of Political Correctness.” And here’s how he begins this piece: “Societies have many of the qualities individuals have. America is a particularly great society. There’s been no country like this ever before in all of human history.” He’s exactly right about that. But, see, that is actually
Women all across America are planning to festoon themselves with knitted, pink “pussy power hats” during a march on Washington, D.C. — and other cities — scheduled for January 21, the day after Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration. The organizers of the Pussyhat Project hope to make “a powerful visual statement” at the Women’s March on Washington by having a large number of women show up wearing the hats. The “pussy power hats,” which feature perky cat-like ears, are a cinch to make, organizers say. “Knitters, crocheters and sewers of all levels” can make the hats at home — preferably with neon pink
A growing number of Democrat lawmakers are boycotting Donald Trump´s inauguration this week, in the wake of his remarks about civil rights campaigner-turned-Representative John Lewis over MLK weekend. There are now 17 Democratic Representatives saying they will spurn Trump´s swearing-in in favor of focusing on their constituents or even taking part in protests and ´resistance´ movements. The uptick in furious members of Congress comes after Trump derided Lewis on Twitter Saturday, saying the lawmaker - who once campaigned alongside Martin Luther King Jr - was ´all talk, no action´. Trump´s criticism came after Lewis´s Friday promise not to attend the
They are some of the biggest names in the Republican national security firmament, veterans of past GOP administrations who say, if called upon by President-elect Donald Trump, they stand ready to serve their country again. But their phones aren’t ringing. Their entreaties to Trump Tower in New York have mostly gone unanswered. In Trump world, these establishment all-stars say they are “PNG” — personae non gratae. Their transgression was signing one or both of two public “Never Trump” letters during the campaign, declaring they would not vote for Trump and calling his candidacy a danger to the nation. One letter,
The biggest news story of the day, apparently, is the dustup between Rep. John Lewis and Donald Trump, about which I wrote this morning. Although the story has little real significance, the Associated Press, the most influential news source in the U.S., spins it furiously to drive its anti-Trump narrative. Start with the headline: “Trump unleashes Twitter attack against civil rights legend.” Most people only read headlines, and this one gives no clue that it was Lewis, not Trump, who started the fight by saying on Meet the Press that Trump will be an illegitimate president. And Lewis is identified
Mr. Garfinkle of Garfinkle’s New Method Hebrew School in Milwaukee used to frequently echo King Solomon’s admonition; “There’s nothing new under the sun.” I was reminded of that this week when the rapidly unfolding “scandal” of Trump’s purported dealings with Russia hit the news. It has more than a few similarities with the Dan Rather faked-up story of GW Bush’s National Guard service where an anonymous, never-found source supposedly gave Bill Burkett a demonstrably fake report and Dan Rather ran with it. This time a Bush (Jeb) is involved but as an instigator of the story, not a victim. John
A growing group of Democratic lawmakers will boycott President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration Friday as a protest of Trump’s worldview and his criticism of civil rights icon John Lewis, congressman of Georgia. There are now more than 30 House Democrats — 31, at last count — who have declared that they will not attend the inauguration on Capitol Hill this week. The number rose sharply after Trump tweeted Saturday that Lewis is “all talk, talk, talk” and should “finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities.” Lewis, who sees Trump’s Nov. 8 win as illegitimate because of Russia’s alleged interference
Protestors are promising to disrupt many of the events surrounding Donald Trump´s inauguration, with some protest leaders promising violence. No venue will be safe from protestors, including the inaugural parade, inaugural balls, and every place in betweeen. Daily Caller: On the day of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration protesters are planning an anti-capitalist march, road blockades and disruptions to inauguration balls. The protests will likely include property destruction, a source with intimate knowledge of the protest plans told The Daily Caller Friday. The blockades are not limited to roads but will also be at every security checkpoint, the source said. The source added that the
