Spinning Obama’s reference to
Islamic State as a ‘JV’ team

Question: “Did the president underestimate ISIS [the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria] when he referred to them in an interview only a couple months ago as a JV squad and making a reference to National Basketball Association basketball teams like the Lakers?”White House spokesman Josh Ernest: “I thought somebody might ask this question today so I wanted to pull the transcript of the interview because it’s important to understand the context in which this was delivered. So let me just read the full quote and then we can talk about it:“‘I think there is a distinction between

What amazing luck that a reporter asked the very question that Josh was prepared to answer, having conveniently brought the JV transcript with him. Wow. Like a bolt from the blue---a reporter gave him the perfect set up to spin the JV remarks.
What a sham. If this doesn´t smack of collusion between the media and the WH, I don´t know what does.

I believe we are now at a point where the term Pinnochio is no longer relevant. Lies should now be refered to as Obamas. Pinnochio has been demoted to the JV squad.

Let´s see. We overthrew Ghadafi. What happened to all the weapons? We walked out of Iraq with all the military equipment and the keys in the ignitions. Who has all that weaponry? I have to believe Isis has some of that. I think the JV team is in the White House and the American People are at their mercy.

I wonder if the Lakers and other teams are embarrassed by Barry´s reference to their sport?

Wow! Just wow! And the pressitards in that room just sat and listened to this spinmeister??

Why do these so-called journalists attend these pessers? Nothing useful comes out of it. Let the alphabet media meet the spinmeisters in private and get their assignments for the day.

In "A Man For All Seasons" - - Richard Rich sold his immortal soul for an administrative job in Wales.

Now we have the vile Josh Earwax selling out his country for a chance to be on TV.

I hope Mr. Earwax meets the same fate that Mr. Rich did.

Josh Earnest would not have "been prepared to answer this question" had not Obama´s comment been so outrageously ill-conceived and had the White House taken such heat over it.

Which reminds me: Every time news sources say "the White House says..." or "the White House is considering sending Obama to..." -- who the hell are they talking about? Who is this mysterious "White House" that keeps telling Obama what to do, and what to release to the media, and what battles to send troops and weaponry to?

Do we not have a POTUS who is leading? (rhetorical). I want the names of this shadowy "White House."

After reviewing all the photos and articles written about last week´s Climate March in Manhattan, I have come to the conclusion that there were only two main elements on parade-communism and Idiocracy. For those who are unfamiliar with that last term, it is derived from the 2006 film Idiocracy that is best described by Wikipedia: a futuristic " dystopian society wherein advertising, commercialism, and cultural anti-intellectualism have run rampant and dysgenic pressure has resulted in a uniformly unthinking society devoid of intellectual curiosity, social responsibility , and coherent notions of justice and human rights." Now doesn´t that describe this bunch

Ugly Senate fight could await
Obama´s attorney general nominee

President Obama has a pretty obvious deadline for nominating a successor to departing Attorney General Eric Holder. If Democrats lose control of the Senate in November, they´ll still run things until newly-elected members arrive in January. So just to be safe, if the president wants guaranteed confirmation of a new attorney general, he´ll need to pick one soon. That way, even if Republicans win the Senate, and even if Obama´s choice is unpopular with the GOP, lame-duck Democrats will still be able to steamroll the opposition and confirm a new Attorney General. But it could be very, very ugly. The White House

Mayor Bill de Blasio has groundhog blood on his hands! A week after Hizzoner dropped Staten Island Chuck in front of a crowd of spectators on Feb. 2, the winter-weather prognosticator died of internal injuries — and then the coverup began, The Post has learned. Staten Island Zoo officials went to great lengths to hide the death from the public — and keep secret the fact that “Chuck” was actually “Charlotte,” a female impostor, sources said Wednesday. Modal Trigger The zoo told a few Staten Island Zoo supporters, but claimed the groundhog died of natural causes. Photo: Staten Island Advance The stand-in was found

When Hillary Rodham Clinton sat down on a Manhattan stage with CNN’s Sanjay Gupta, the planned topic for discussion was babies’ brains and how to improve infant development around the globe. Instead, the first three questions from Gupta focused on the U.S. airstrikes raining down on Iraq and Syria, aimed at defeating the expanding Islamic State terrorist group. “I support what they are doing,” Clinton said in the interview Wednesday, referring to her former colleagues in the Obama administration. “I personally believe the way they have thought this through and planned it and limited our involvement, avoids [Islamic State] achieving

In his United Nations speech, President Obama will bring up the summer shooting in Ferguson, Missouri. "I realize that America’s critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within our own borders. This is true," Obama will say, according to prepared text of his address. "In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri – where a young man was killed, and a community was

Ann Romney on Tuesday added a little more fuel to speculation that her husband, former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, may make a third run for the White House. On Fox News’s Cavuto, Ann was asked about a scenario in which former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, a moderate Republican and a potential 2016 candidate in his own right, decides not to run. “Well, we will see, won’t we, Neil?” Ann said to show host Neil Cavuto. “I think Jeb probably will end up running, myself… He’s probably looking at it very carefully.” Ann suggested that a run by Bush would discourage another run

The Obama White House is once again at the center of a story on the balance between government transparency and freedom of the press. Paul Farhi in the Washington Post writes that the press office in the current White House has on several occasions meddled with the pool reports on President Barack Obama. Pool reports are dispatches of Obama’s public or semi-public appearances written by professional reporters who are selected on a rotating basis by the independent White House Correspondents’ Association. The reports are written throughout the day and sent to the White House press office, which in turn then distributes them

The L.A. Times is warning that the “worst is yet to come” if a grand jury fails to indict white officer Darren Wilson for shooting and killing black 18-year-old Michael Brown. If the grand jury fails to indict the officer who killed Michael Brown, almost everyone here thinks things will get worse. “They’re not going to be looting next time,” said Kevin Seltzer, 30, who lives at an apartment complex near where Brown, 18, was shot. “They’re going to burn the city down.” The article highlights recent indications that the city is “far from finding peace,” including continued clashes with officers, the shooting

Shockingly, Carson said no. “I think what is required for leadership is wisdom and the

President Obama said the shooting death of a black teen by a white police officer last month in Ferguson, Missouri, exposed the racial divide in the American justice system that “stains the heart of black children.” Speaking at the annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation dinner in Washington on Saturday night, Mr. Obama said the death of Michael Brown “awakened our nation” to a reality that black citizens already understood. “In too many communities around the country, a gulf of mistrust exists between local residents and law enforcement,” Mr. Obama said. “Too many young men of color feel targeted by law

For President Obama, the color of a man’s skin is far more important than the content of his character. On the night when a police officer was shot in a Missouri town torn by racial strife, the president donned a shiny tuxedo to attend a ritzy black awards dinner, where he said police nationwide are to blame for community mistrust, even claiming that “most Americans” think the country is racist. Remember, when Ferguson exploded in racial rage in August, Mr. Obama chose not to curtail his 15-day vacation, spending day after day on the golf course in the white-skinned, white-wined, millionaire playground

The U.S. had expected the Iraqi army to do more against extremists, president says in acknowledgment of intelligence shortcomings. President Obama acknowledged that the U.S. underestimated the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS, also called ISIL) and overestimated the ability of the Iraqi military to fend off the militant group in an interview that will air Sunday on 60 Minutes. The president was asked by 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft about comments from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who has said the U.S. not only underestimated ISIS, it also overestimated the ability and will of the

WASHINGTON — The Senate’s minority whip is confident about Republicans being the majority in the 114th Congress — if conservatives can set aside differences and work to combat the massive influx of donor cash that has Democratic campaigns ahead in the money race. Only in the majority, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) stresses, can conservatives make headway on tamping down overregulation, repealing and replacing Obamacare, securing the “chaotic” border, getting Keystone XL moving, and bringing civilized debate back to the upper chamber. And only by realizing the gravity of the battle for November, he argues, can Republicans relegate Harry Reid (D-Nev.)
