Ex-scoutmaster pleads guilty
to 36 felony sex crimes

An ex-scoutmaster who admitted to molesting his son’s teenage friends and fellow troop members for years at his Keswick home pleaded guilty to 36 felony sex crimes Wednesday in Albemarle County Circuit Court. David Brian Watkins, now 50, entered into an agreement with prosecutors that shields him from additional local or federal charges and calls for an active term of 30 years and five months in prison.(snip)An attorney grilled Watkins about the allegations during divorce proceedings in 2006: “Are you aware of these claims that you are a pedophile, a child molester, a bisexual, a homosexual, a pervert of the

Comments:
This is just one of several reasons the BSA wanted to keep these people out of the organization. The gay crowd tries to insist that pedophiles and gays are two different animals, but they are just a few degrees away from each other on the continuum of sexual perversions and often overlap.

Recall when the Boy Scouts was slammed by the main stream media to allow homosexuals to be scout masters. They were punished with restricted access to state parks etc.

Wondered at the time if the homosexual pedophile was to become a Scout leader and he molested the little boys in his troop. Would the trial lawyers assist in suing the BSA?

Just wondering if Rachel Maddow or
Anderson Cooper, both open homosexual. Will air this story on there shows?

Bans on gays didn´t stop this guy. Pedophiles will do whatever it takes to get close to and manipulate their prey, including marrying.

Your children are never, ever safe. Be ever vigilant!

#5, a ban on ´gays´ may not have stopped this particular abuser but, it might well have stopped or prevented others. One thing is for certain, letting professed ´gays´ into scout-leadership roles won´t make things like this less common.

You don´t want ´gays´ in the boy scouts for the same reason you don´t want straight men as leaders in the girl scouts. The opportunities for misadventure are just too great for parent´s peace of mind.

I spent several years in the scouts in the 1970´s, in two states. I had good and bad scoutmasters, but none that ever behaved dishonorably. The only reason I quit was because they abandoned the woods and became "city scouts".
This is a very disturbing story.

The issue is pedophilia, not homosexuality. According the "logic" in some of the posts about the temptation factor of openly gay men being in proximity to young men and boys, then young interns shouldn´t work with avowed heterosexual men because the temptation is too great. Just ask Monica Lewinsky. Are we mad at Bill Clinton because he of his sexual orientation, or the fact that he committed adultery and lied about it?

The only safe way is to never, ever put your kid into the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts.

Protect your kid.

No, #9. The Boy Scouts remain a fine organization and if you´re worried, the best way to protect your kid is to volunteer as a leader. The Girl Scouts don´t really pose any physical danger, but they have devolved into a feminist/activist group that is distasteful to many of us.

Good to see you posting again, #8. In your experience, are homosexual men different from heterosexual men? One of the unexamined assumptions many people have is that, with the exception of the gender they are attracted to, homosexual men are just like heterosexual men. My own anecdotal experience is that homosexual men tend to be different in other ways as well. For example, the homosexual men I have known over the years have tended to be less inclined to monogamy in their relationships. They have also tended to be more tolerant of a subculture that promotes sexualization of boys.

When it comes to protecting children, are you absolutely certain that homosexual men are no more likely to molest boys than heterosexual men? I do not share that certainty.

Putting likelihood aside, I would prefer to have a heterosexual man take boys camping rather than girls. How about we agree that straight men take the boys camping and homosexual men take the girls camping?

Barack Obama got quite the handful on Thursday, April 10, but it was all for a good cause! As the President of the United States was boarding Air Force One with his wife Michelle Obama, a gust of wind blew up her skirt. Barack quickly stepped in and grabbed the First Lady´s billowing skirt to help her avoid a wardrobe malfunction and embarrassing Marilyn Monroe moment. Earlier in the week, another famous lady on the global stage suffered a similar snafu, but no one was around to help her -- not even her prince!

Global warming is not being taken seriously and time is running out to avoid consequences like flooded cities and dried out farmland, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim said Thursday. "We are quickly coming to the point where we are not going to be able to keep global warming below two degrees Celsius," Kim said at the start of the IMF-World Bank spring meetings in Washington. "Warming by two degrees Celsius is going to have major implications.... 40 percent of the arable land in Africa will be gone at two degrees Celsius; Bangkok could very well be underwater at two

It was a busy Saturday afternoon at Penn Square and this was happening up on the second floor in front of a growing crowd. A woman, accused of shoplifting, now topless and wrestling with security on the ground. Her bare chest exposed to everyone who walks by. Almost immediately people start getting out their cell phones and capturing the shirtless showdown including the person who captured this video you´re watching. The man who shot this cell phone video walked out of Dillards and immediately saw a nearly naked brawl between a topless woman and a mall security guard. Witnesses say the security officer called

An autopsy on Peaches Geldof was inconclusive and toxicology tests will be conducted in an attempt to determine what killed the 25-year-old celebrity, police said Wednesday. Geldof was pronounced dead by paramedics at her home in southeast England on Monday. Kent Police said a post-mortem examination had not revealed the cause and a toxicology report could take several weeks. Geldof, the daughter of Irish musician Bob Geldof and the late TV presenter Paula Yates, had worked as a model, writer and television show host. She grew up in the glare of Britain´s press, which reveled in the late-night antics of her teenage years, and

The President is no economic illiterate, despite what conservatives think. He understands basic macroeconomics just fine, thank you – but with a twist. Mainstream Democrats worship at the altar of the New Deal. It’s an article of faith that massive government spending pulled America out of the Great Depression. (With all respect to Paul Krugman, the truth is more complicated, but that’s not within the scope of this article.)The president’s view of spending, deficits and debt is not merely Keynesian theory run amok. Its origins and objectives are far more terrifying. Where the traditional Democratic playbook for economic downturns was provided

WASHINGTON — About the only thing former President Ronald Reagan doesn´t have named after him is a mountain, not one recognized by the federal government anyway.(snip)Rep. Jared Huffman, D-Calif., said he thought DeFazio´s amendment was "terrific" but wanted to take it a step further and name the planet after Reagan. "We may want to consider going big with this Reagan-naming enthusiasm," Huffman said. "I´m beginning to see some possibilities in this." Huffman said his reasoning was that if the planet were named after Reagan, then Republicans might be more concerned with taking up legislation dealing with global warming.

A majority of Americans believe that President Barack Obama’s signature health care law will be repealed. A new Rasmussen Reports poll found that 62 percent of likely voters believe that Republicans will repeal Obamacare, which recently marked its fourth anniversary. Only 23 percent of those polled believe that the health care law has been a success, compared to 46 percent who describe the law as a failure. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, offered a Republican alternative to Obama’s health care overhaul last week, saying states should play a greater role in containing health care costs while

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you
