WASHINGTON — Six months after leaving her post as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton is jumping back into the public sphere. At the American Bar Association Conference today, Clinton announced a series of speeches to address high profile public policy issues including voting rights, which she addressed today. Next month in Philadelphia she plans to deliver remarks on the balance transparency in national security policies. A third speech will focus on the impact of U.S. national security policies on its reputation abroad. Devoting her first speech to what she called the “assault on voting rights,”
Comments: Here she is....the full pander, the complete book of left wing red herrings and distortions targeting 0bama´s LoFo´s she will need to capture the troglodyte DemocRAT base...and at the same time insulting most cognizant Americans. IMHO, this nag is coming out of the chute waaaaaaay tooo early.
She will be pushed aside by Elizabeth Warren, the one Dem who can make HRC appear to be somewhat truthful. The dime store Indian, in turn, will be pushed aside by Connecticut´s Richard Blumenthal, the fake Vietnam vet whose major asset is that he´s photogenic.
Decisions,, decisions. hillary the first unqualified woman president or lizzie warren the first unqualified American Indian president. It makes no difference what she says or does or believes or lies about. If she is the nominee they will vote for her as many times as they possibly can. Voter ID? We don´t need no stinkin´ ID.
Hillary has just got to become president. Let´s face it, her butt ugly daughter is going to need to be appointed to a government paid job. Can you say senator, congresswoman, ambassador. Anything? Hello? Am I right?
The only suppression is to keep Dems from voting multiple times in each election. We saw video clip of the voting judge/clerk boasting of her multiple vote for obama. What has happened with her confession----ignored by Holder because she is "their" people.
Imho..she is starting her..tour...waaaaaaay to early..maybe this is a good thing...overkill, many more opportunities for gaffs.....listening to that screeching voice..as someone said..she reminds men of their first wife...no amount of dieting and plastic is gonna help tho....
The death of Nelson Mandela has given fresh impetus to Palestinian efforts to portray the Israeli occupation as a form of apartheid that should be confronted with a similar international campaign that took on South Africa´s white regime. Mandela´s message of solidarity from a 1997 speech in which he said "our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians", has been repeatedly invoked across Palestine in the past week. Demonstrators carried posters of Mandela who also strongly criticised Israel´s close ties to the apartheid government, at regular weekly protests against Jewish settlements and the vast concrete and steel separation barrier in
Iowa’s highly touted crackdown on improper voting finally has resulted in some arrests that appear to justify Secretary of State Matt Schultz’ concerns. (snip)On Sept. 26, Tehvedin Murgic of Dallas County pleaded guilty to reduced misdemeanor charges of voter misconduct in the 2010 election. He was fined $1,325. Schultz’ investigators busted Nickie Dean Perkins for failing to disclose his felony convictions when he registered to vote in 2012. Another investigation centers on Linn County voter alleged to have submitted an absentee ballot in another’s name. That investigation is pending. After reporting on several elections decided by one vote, we can commend Schultz
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is being accused by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., of “criminal obstruction.” Issa, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, stated in a letter to Sebelius that the Health and Human Services Department instructed Creative Computing Solutions – a contractor that worked on HealthCare.gov — not to comply with the committee’s investigation. “The Department’s hostility toward questions from Congress and the media about the implementation of ObamaCare is well known,” the letter obtained by CBS News says. “The Department’s most recent effort to stonewall, however, has morphed from mere obstinacy into criminal obstruction of a congressional
If you go down on the ice today you´re sure of a big surprise - a rare glimpse of 20 polar bears gorging on a bloody midnight feast. These photographs show a rare cluster of males, females and cubs all dining out on the remains of a whale carcass. They spent a night and a day stripping every last morsel from the mammoth sea creature. Usually Polar bears are solitary and would never tolerate being so close to each other. But with food in plentiful supply and bellies dragging on the floor they seem too lethargic to fight.Wildlife photographer Michal
The health director who approved the release of President Obama’s birth certificate has died in a plane crash, Hawaiian officials said Thursday. Loretta Fuddy died after the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft she was travelling on went down shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport at around 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Wednesday. The other eight people on board were rescued, Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air, told NBC News early Thursday, adding that that there was no indication as to why the plane had crashed. Fuddy hit the headlines two years ago when she approved a waiver request allowing Obama to
The Sexiest Man Alive is being enlisted to spice up Obamacare. Pop singer Adam Levine, who won the designation from People magazine last month, is among the celebrities who’ll be promoting enrollment in online health insurance exchanges as part of a social media campaign kicking off tomorrow. With enrollment totals behind administration projections after the botched start-up of the federal exchange, 17 state exchanges joined by an advocacy group are drawing on Obama administration allies in entertainment and sports to promote sign-ups, using social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Reprising a tactic President Barack Obama successfully employed in his 2012 re-election, organizers
Temple student Walter Smolarek remembers feeling energized when he heard Mumia Abu-Jamal’s voice directed at him. “People, especially young people, can and must build movements that can force politicians to address issues of social justice,” Abu-Jamal, a radical who was convicted of the 1982 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner, said in a taped recording played at the Asian Arts Initiative on Saturday. (Snip) Tauheedah Shukriyyah Asad, 29, agrees—and believes Abu-Jamal may be this generation’s Nelson Mandela. “Mumia is doing more in jail than most people are doing out in the world,” she says. “He’s still writing,
New York — The anchor who might beat Bill O’Reilly gets her eyelash extensions applied one at a time, with tweezers and dabs of glue, about 90 minutes before showtime, right after a motorized gun sprays foundation over her face, neck, shoulders, collarbone and sternum, wiping out a galaxy of light freckles that spreads across her — Let me stop you right there. Photos of the day Uruguay legalizes marijuana, Kiev police pull back from protesters, aging U.S. prison population and more. Tuesday´s Photos of the day Would you write this way about a man? About O’Reilly himself? At least that’s what Megyn Kelly might ask at
When I was a kid, I knew two different Santa Clauses. The first had a fat belly, rosy cheeks, a long white beard, and skin as pink as bubble gum. He was omnipresent, visiting my pre-school and the local mall, visible in all of my favorite Christmas specials. Then there was the Santa in my family’s household, in the form of ornaments, cards, and holiday figurines. A near-carbon copy of the first one—big belly, rosy cheeks, long white beard: check, check, check. But his skin was as dark as mine. Seeing two different Santas was bewildering. Eventually I asked my father what
US President Barack Obama may have moved the masses attending Nelson Mandela’s memorial service with his stirring eulogy, but it was his grinning "selfie" with the Danish and British premiers that set social networks abuzz. In a candid moment captured by a photographer, Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt can be seen holding up her smartphone, with Obama lending a helping hand, as they pose for a picture with David Cameron, all three of them smiling broadly in their seats at Soweto’s World Cup stadium.(Snip)Mashable, the news and technology website, ran the photograph under the headline: ‘‘Dear Obama: Funerals are no place
In August 2013 I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After a few days I lost vision in my left eye and I checked into the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended
Johannesburg - A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela´s memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was a "fake," the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa said on Tuesday. Asked about the claim by The Associated Press, South Africa´s government said it was preparing a statement. Three sign language experts said the man was not signing in South African or American sign languages. South African sign language covers all of the country´s 11 official languages, according to the federation. It wasn´t immediately clear if the unidentified man was using a
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) snapped at conservative groups that have come out in opposition to the budget deal reached Wednesday between Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). "They´re using the American people for their own purposes. This is ridiculous," Boehner said at a press conference with other members of House Republican leadership on Wednesday. Over the past few days, a number of conservative groups have blasted the deal because it sets discretionary spending levels in the budget higher than previous levels under sequestration. In the past three days, the influential Heritage Action, Club for Growth, Americans
President Obama’s job approval among American voters has dropped to negative territory with just 38 percent voicing their approval versus the 58 who says they disapprove, according to a national poll released Tuesday by the independent Quinnipiac University. That is one percent less than the 39% who said they approved of him in last month’s poll. The majority of the 2,692 registered voters the University in early December said that the president is not honest and trustworthy. When asked, “Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as President?,” respondents gave Obama lackluster ratings
