The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
The real outrage is that these two pieces of debris were allowed to adopt nine, yes nine, children while heterosexual couples are routinely denied the ability to adopt. The social service workers who enabled these two poedophiles would in a just society also be held to account, but unfortunately we live in a corrupt society where liberal ne´er-do-wells are always let off the hook.
This guys need to do a rope a dope and let the SCOTUS get them off the hook. The SCOTUS will rule that homosexuals have a right to marry. And shortly after that polygamy and incest will be recognized. Then these characters can claim it was rape but incest and polygamy. We as a society have devolved from what is right to what is legal as our moral standard. One remembers another fascist society (as Obambi and the Dems are taking us) that used legal instead of what is right as the moral standard and the results were dead camps.
Homosexuals have been made a protected victim class by the Left and the MSM in their relentless war on the family. All headlines, analysis, excuses, distractions, distortions must be viewed with that in mind.
Note that these guys were about to get off with no jail time and without having to register as sex offenders until another kid came forward with credible accusations. The case has been in the courts for more than one year and the media has been doing a great job of hiding it.
It´s not just the gays who should not have access to children. I was once walking my dog and fell behind two lesbians. one of whom had a young boy with her from a previous relationship. The butchy one was berating the other woman calling her vile names, the least of which was "bisexual." This woman and her little boy listened in silence and in obvious fear.
In 2000 I was on a jury where a man was accused of doing much the same to a couple of twin boys that he had "taken in" so to speak. It was absolutely gut wrenching.
Twelve years ago, homosexuality wasn´t so fashionable. Today, it seems to give people some kind of badge of authority that they can hide behind. I have friends trying to become foster parents. They have already raised two kids of their own! I cannot imagine them being allowed to adopt or foster nine more, even though they are quite capable of doing so.
I seriously doubt these two cretins had the financial resources to support nine children. So why did the social services people allow them to adopt so many? Because they wanted to prove "gay" families are good families? What´s good about condeming an adopted child to a life of food stamps and welfare? "gay" or straight. Surely there were other hetero couples who are still waiting for the chance to adopt just one child, but they don´t count to the gay activits in social services!
...PAY ATTENTION GAY AMERICA...this is what the gay marriage scam is all about...giving pedophiles access to children under the guise of adoption and parental consent...NAMBLA is pushing for gay marriage to hide pedophilia...NAMBLA states that children - especially boys have the ability, understanding and right to enter into a loving relationship with a man and gay parents will be able to give permission to their sons to marry a man...this story is just the beginning of the upcoming nightmare of child rape.
Gay, schmay, in my day woman took care of the children. It was recognized then that there was more of a risk to leave a man alone with a child than a woman. Today everything is supposed to be the same, but it´s not, despite the cases of female pedophiles - almost all are male.
People who ignore their sexuality and adhere a perverted version of sexuality will act out their perversions. Until the mid-´70s people who were addicted to homosexual behavior were classified as mentally ill. Political pressure caused the change.
Enrollment surge or no enrollment surge, the next Obamacare challenge is a big one: How will the White House make sure all those people with canceled policies get new coverage by Jan. 1? At the rate the signups are going — even with the speedier, newly functioning Obamacare website — the administration has a vast distance to travel before the estimated 4 to 5 million people with canceled policies get new health coverage.
Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio has named William J. Bratton his Police Commissioner. In returning to the job he held under Rudolph Giuliani in the nineteen-nineties, Bratton will be in charge of fulfilling one of de Blasio’s most prominent campaign promises: to end the stop-and-frisk tactics that were such a prominent part of Michael Bloomberg’s record as Mayor. But Bratton’s views on stop-and-frisk may be considerably different from those of his new boss. In May of this year, I profiled Shira Scheindlin, the federal judge who presided over the class-action lawsuit that challenged the N.Y.P.D.’s stop-and-frisk policies. In the course of reporting
In my mid-20s, I had a new bride, a plum job on Capitol Hill and, apparently, the beginnings of a cancerous tumor on my right kidney. For 20 or 25 years — the best estimate of my doctors — it accompanied me at birthdays and on holidays and at the delivery of my children. It was quiet and kept to itself. Undiscovered, it would have donned camouflage and killed me in the end. A cancer diagnosis is the experience of about 13?million Americans. Mine came early enough for surgery to make a difference. There were weeks of testing, waiting and
Rush Limbaugh´s radio tirades will have a new home on Los Angeles airwaves next year. KFI-AM (640) is losing the conservative host´s three-hour show, long a fixture on the station, to KTLK-AM (1150), which owner Clear Channel is hoping to pump up as an outlet exclusively dedicated to right-leaning chatter. The company, which also owns KFI, will use Limbaugh´s audience to anchor the new lineup for KTLK, which is being dubbed "The Patriot" and will also feature national shows by Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.
The current daytime star—and future face of Yahoo News—is taking flak for running an alarmist segment about an HPV vaccine on her talk show. Why Katie’s under fire. Can you trust Katie Couric? For a woman who has hosted news programs on three major television networks, received multiple awards for her reporting, and earned the title “America’s Sweetheart” back in her Today show glory, merely raising the question could be hugely damaging to her career—even more so now as she prepares to take on a high-profile role as the new global anchor of Yahoo News.
The White House on Thursday admitted fabricating an earlier claim that President Obama had never met his Kenyan uncle, Onyango “Omar” Obama. Approximately 3 years ago, as Uncle Omar was fighting deportation following a DUI charge, the White House asserted to The Boston Globe without any apparent qualification that Onyango Obama “has never met his famous nephew.” That statement was untrue. Uncle Omar testified at an immigration hearing earlier this week that the younger Obama had briefly lived with him for several weeks in the 1970s.
The White House acknowledged Thursday that President Obama lived with his uncle for a brief period in the 1980s while he was a student at Harvard Law School -- after previously saying there was no record of the two having met. "The president did stay with him for a brief period of time until his apartment was ready," White House spokesman Eric Schultz said in a statement. "After that, they saw each other once every few months, but after law school they fell out of touch. The president has not seen him in 20 years, has not spoken with him
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
[Video] President Obama on Wednesday declared that addressing income inequality would be the focus of “all” of the White House’s efforts “for the rest of my presidency.” In a sweeping address that touched on raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure and ending tax breaks for the wealthy, Obama warned that the American economy has become “profoundly unequal,” declaring economic mobility the “challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increasing inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe,” he said in an hour-long
Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways. Here’s the statement from Martin Bashir, via email: After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon
Amid an array of “knock-out” attacks against a number of Jews in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, a city councilwoman pointed to the success of the Jewish community as triggering the aggression. Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo emphasized that while she “admire[s] the Jewish community immensely” for its work ethic, black teens may see it differently. “While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success,” Cumbo, who was recently elected, wrote in a letter. Chief among the issues
America is facing a wave of strikes by its fast-food workers on Thursday a day after Barack Obama warned that inequality in the USA had soared to the point that it now posed "a fundamental threat to the American dream". Low-paid workers in McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and other fast-food outlets in 100 cities across America were due to start rolling strikes to protest at the low level of America´s $7.25 (£4.45) federal minimum wage. The strikes are the latest part of a mushrooming publicity campaign for higher wages among those working so-called "McJobs", with fast-food restaurants seen as a
