CHICAGO — A 6-month old girl became the latest innocent victim of Chicago gang violence when a gunman ambushed her father while he was changing her diaper along a South Side street and unloaded round after round into the two of them. Jonylah Watkins died at a hospital Tuesday after surgeons did what they could to repair the damage from the five bullets that tore through her body during Monday´s attack in Woodlawn. Her father, Jonathan Watkins, was in serious but stable condition Tuesday after receiving treatment for wounds to his buttocks and side and a graze to his face

Boys who grew up without fathers and maybe a mother on drugs. Well, Lyndon, look what your Great Society has wrought.

And guess who the unmarried women voted for in droves - only the guy who supports their lifestyle by funding it while blaming it on the evil right.

In the rat world the baby was just some collateral damage means justified by BO´s end goals.

Imagie five bullets tearing through the body of that beautiful six month old child.

Other reports say that the father knows who did it but is not cooperatng with the police.

Any "father" that won´t give up his child´s murderer deserves to be charged as an accomplice. I am sick of seeing these dead babies, kids, and elderly innocents leading the news EVERY single night.

The fastest fix is mandatory sentencing... and the new Sherriff told them that. Unfortunately, the Chicago Way requires feeding lawyers lots of cases & using violence for population control as well as providing issues to use in controlling all Americans.

FTA: "We don´t have one individual that´s really stepping up to help us," he said.

Given that, should we do any more than fence off these neighborhoods from the civilized ones?

FTA: The attack wasn´t even [6-month-old] Jonylah´s first brush with gun violence. Her mother, Judy Watkins, was shot in the knee while pregnant with her, according to the woman´s mother, Mary Young.

OK, maybe a double fence. That´ll provide some jobs, too. [That´s a wry slap at the feral "lifestyle."]

Considering the relative size of the two targets, the mostly non-life-threatening wounds on the father (so-called) suggest that perhaps they think he can still be of use to them in some way; the daughter, not so much.

The only thing that I could think of that would fix Chicago´s problem would be to send in the Soda Nazi Bloomburg. Maybe he can ban bullets and that should "save people" and fix the problem.

These urban savages live in an entirely different world of which a lot of America is unaware. It is a brutal dangerous jungle and is only getting worse. This is where Homeland Security forces will be deployed first.

Poster #7 points out the number of wounds vs the relative size of the two victims, but, I believe, comes to the wrong conclusion.

It seems to me that the "father" was likely using the baby as a shield from a single attacker at close range.

Ban gangs, not guns.

Dead Sea Scrolls found in late 1940´s had one that has been translated that speaks of the war of the Sons of Darkness and the Sons of Lightness and they aren´t talking about outer color as of the skin.

Inner light lacking in gangs, commie groups, black power groups. Rahm Immanuel meanwhile is probably making himself richer on the backs of his people just as Hugo Chavez did.

Illinois legislature is looking for a case to ban hand guns. They will no longer have to deal with Concealed Carry. This might be their "Gabby" case.

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist

´8THEIST´ license plate in NJ: Why
states can´t rein in the vanity plate monster
Christian Science Monitor, by Patrik Jonsson    Original Article

If you can get a New Jersey vanity license plate that reads “BAPTIST,” why not one that reads “8THEIST”? That’s the question Shannon Morgan, a self-describe atheist, is asking in a lawsuit after the New Jersey department of motor vehicles denied her vanity plate application. Her main complaint is a bureaucracy deeming that “8THEIST” has connotations that offend “good taste and decency,” the bar which the state uses to judge the suitability of personalized plate messages. She also wants the state to adopt a more “viewpoint-neutral” vanity plate approval policy, since when she typed “BAPTIST” into the DMV application it

When Chelsea Clinton announced Thursday that she’s pregnant, it took the media about two nanoseconds to home in on what that really means: Hillary, should she run for president in 2016, will campaign as a grandmother. (Snip) And for another, Hillary’s newfound role as grandmother isn’t necessarily a political boon. As I wrote in the Washington Monthly’s current issue, it could very easily cut both ways. After all, Hillary, who will be 68 in 2016, already runs the risk of appearing old, a vulnerability not lost on her detractors. From the Monthly: (At sixty-six, Hillary is “not particularly old for

Chef Vered Guttman braved the challenge of preparing a White House Passover seder in line with Michelle Obama´s healthy eating guidelines and lived to tell her story. "The traditional seder fare is hardly fresh or healthy," Guttman wrote in a post-dinner review about incorporating vegetable sides to "offset some of the Jewish carbs" like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. Guttman, a D.C. based caterer, worked with White House executive chef Cris Comerford

A new poll shows former secretary of state Hillary Clinton´s (D) numbers hitting their lowest point in six years. Meanwhile, it finds that the Republican Party is experiencing something of a renaissance. The Fox News poll, from Democratic pollster Anderson Robbins Research and GOP pollster Shaw & Company, shows Clinton´s favorable rating dropping to 49 percent, compared to 45 percent unfavorable. The last time her numbers were in that ballpark was during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary race. After she ended her campaign, her favorable/unfavorable split was 47/46. Other polls have shown Clinton´s numbers --

DENVER | Colorado Democrats abandoned their own divisive abortion proposal Wednesday, axing the bill after one lawmaker expressed indecision and it became clear they might not have the votes to pass it in a chamber where every vote matters. Democrats used a legislative maneuver to shelve a bill that would have banned any state regulation of reproductive decisions such as abortion and contraception. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen. John Kefalas, D-Fort Collins, said he wasn’t sure if the measure was

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after
