House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is among the "munchkin" Republicans who are afraid of alienating women by opposing reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, conservative talk-radio host Mark Levin said Wednesday night. Levin blasted Cantor for "going to war" with conservatives by pressing them to support the Democrats´ version of the bill. ""Mr.Cantor, I hate to tell you this: We´re already in political war with you," Levin said. "I mean Eric Cantor is the number-two Republican in the House," Levin said. "He´s the majority leader because we, the conservatives,

Comments:
This is just not good for the party. I remember Cantor going on Fox News right after their retreat in Virginia and he was flat and uninspiring to say the least.

I liked Levin a lot better when he was just an occasional appearance on Limbaugh´s program, many years ago. The constant yelling has worn down my patience these days, however. The man needs to see about a calm-down pill.

Another ingrate that I so hope to see thrown out on his kiester next election, then he can run as a dem, which seems to be his political philosophy.

I liked Cantor a lot better when he was just an occasional conservative presence in Congress. The constant capitulation to liberals has worn down my patience these days, however. The man needs to see about a stimulant pill so he can show a little concern for the Constitution.

So, if an American WOMAN is accused of domestic violence by/in an Indian tribe, SHE is stripped of her rights?? Do I have that correct?

Why is this garbage coming up for a vote? PASSING this bill is NOT going to get republicans any cudos ANYWHERE in the media so why do it?!

Is Stuart Stevens your consultant, Eric?
And btw, what are you all doing there in the land of my ancestors(Virginia) raising taxes??

I´m with Mark Levin on this and just about everything. Maybe some should listen to what he says. This is a horrible bill and should be shot down.

The house leadership, if we can call it that, needs to go. Remember what BoneHead did to TEA Party members, removed them from their positions. Canter voice and speech sounds like Al Gorebot!

Anyone that picks Cantor over Levin must be a Moderate, at best. "Levin yells too much, Palin´s voice irritates me, Rush is too rich....." Moderates are so like Leftists. They talk about silly things, not facts.

Screaming Levin shows an awful lot of "courage" tearing people apart and hocking berries and lightweight books from the confines of his gold plated bunker. Canter, Boehner, and every orher "elected" official that must actually appear sane in public have a much less charmed existence. I´d like to see Screaming Levin take some time off from tossing rhetorical grenades in the general vicinity of Republicans from the bunker and actually run for an office -- any office. He might learn him some humility as voters kick him in the teeth.

Ok, I´ll bite, #13. How in the world is a solid conservative with, as an earlier poster pointed out, the same ACU rating as revered Jim DeMint, qualify as a "RINO", much less the person lacking sufficient male equipment you describe? Do we have no loyalty to any of our own who has stuck his neck out on our behalf in the past? And must our criticisms be so crude and loud? Is Mark Levin the standard and if Levin yells "froggy", we all jump?

Mark Levin´s passion for equal respect for the inherent AND Constitutionally secured Rights of each individual citizen equally in America the beautiful is inspiring! It is refreshing and invigorating. It expresses what many are thinking & wakes up the slumbering! ...It seems to have become alarmingly, ´missing in action,´ inside the dems´ beltway Boomtown lately. Freedom in the USA has endured throughout our history because of such passion for America & that Life, Liberty & Pursuit of Happiness for which it stands!

America´s ship of state´s determined course toward that, ´shining city on the hill,´ has always been enthusiastically embraced & encouraged by such passion as Levin´s for freedom!

Freedom is rare in human history & is fragile to maintain, as the blood of patriots prove. This sovereign country is the most exceptional & successful democratic republic, which it is, in all of history because of America the Beautiful´s Founders who labored to express Liberty´s true concepts with clear & understandable wording, risked their all as they prayed for Wisdom to express the Constitutional principles upon which the U.S.A. was established. Such determination requires integrity, selflessness, courage and thus demands passion for freedom.

But freedom won can be lost to tyranny due to lethargy. ´´´Eternal vigilenge is the price of freedom.´´ Pres. Reagan reminded us that the loss of freedom is always but one generation away. Let´s have more of Levin´s wisdom, knowledge and passion for Constitutional freedom in America´s Boomtown beltway and throughout the land!

Voting records are important but there is a much larger dynamic in play here than Cantor´s voting record. Try thinking outside of the RINO box and look at the big picture.

Levin is fighting the good fight for the future of this country on several fronts including the Landmark Legal Foundation.

Cantor is a nice guy but he´s also weak and ineffective.

I think Mark mentioned that this law could make it a crime to raise your voice and other not so uncommon things that happen in relationships at times. The thing is, once these type of things are on a person´s record, good luck with that background check for that hunting rifle. Hell, it´s hard enough to pass it now. I was put on a hold last fall, trying to buy a squirrel shootin´ .22. I´ve had a CCW permit for years and a spotless record and someone in a basement in Quantico or wherever just didn´t think it was important enough to see if I was the same person they must have confused me with. In this gun grabbing era, we should all be on guard for anything such as this bill- for which Cantor probably got a special dinner and a backrub from Diane Feinstein.

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

Many people suspect that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) instigated an over the top paramilitary confrontation with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy at the behest of Senator Harry Reid especially since the new BLM director, Neil Kornze, was an aide to Reid. So how does Harry´s son, Rory Reid, thank the BLM rangers for putting their lives at risk over desert tortoises that are being euthanized by the Feds? Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
