| You may have noticed in the news recently that the folks we just sent to Washington to do the people´s business, aren´t. In fact, lead from behind by President Obama, they´re not doing much of anything except trying to dodge blame for not getting much of anything done. You may recall the "fiscal cliff" we were driving over not so long ago. Now, there´s "sequestration," which has to do with -- read this carefully now -- mandatory cuts of future increases in federal spending.

Another article which attempts, among other things, to paint the republicans as responsible lawmakers who feel that it´s irresponsible to allow the deficit to climb as it is. Further investigation by ANYONE, hiwever, would find that e republicans spent like drunken sailors durung the Bush years, half of that time while having FULL control of the presidency and both the hiuse and senate.
All of Washington are do nothing freeloaders that all need to be FIRED!

Fallon: Last week Obama asked China´s president to stop spying on Americans. And the Chinese leader responded, "You first." Conan: Everyone please turn off your phones. I’ve got some jokes I don’t want the government to hear. Leno: Eliot Spitzer and John Edwards both have birthdays the other day. Which explains why no strippers were available for other parties. Fallon: Hillary Clinton finally joined Twitter and got more than 200,000 followers in five hours. They were like, “Hillary in 2016!” and “Washington needs Hillary!” “Hillary for the White House!” That´s not her followers. Those were her tweets.

Hi, everybody. This Sunday is Father’s Day, and so I wanted to take a moment to talk about the most important job many of us will ever have — and that’s being a dad. Today we’re blessed to live in a world where technology allows us to connect instantly with just about anyone on the planet. But no matter how advanced we get, there will never be a substitute for the love and support and, most importantly, the presence of a parent in a child’s life. And in many ways, that’s uniquely true for fathers.

Sen. Lamar Alexander gives the Republican Party Weekly Remarks I’m United States Senator Lamar Alexander. This is the season for high school graduations. And more than two million of those graduating are going to college. Both Republicans and Democrats agree that college is the surest ticket to the middle class and we want to help by making it simpler and smarter to get a student loan. [Snip] But we have a major disagreement about who should be in charge of our 100,000 public schools that educate 50 million American children. To put it simply, Democrats want a national school board; Republicans favor local control.

An amazing scene in Boston yesterday. Barack Obama returned to the city of one of his biggest triumphs (his 2004 Democrat convention speech) and one of his worst political spankings (the 2010 repudiation by Massachusetts Senate voters of his candidate). Those were tough days for the ex-state legislator, you may recall. Virginia voters had just rejected Obama´s choice for governor. New Jersey voters had just rejected Obama´s choice for governor. [Snip] And now here’s Obama trying to salvage another race with hypocrisy.

Once upon a time Barack Obama was known as a good speech-giver. That´s how he debuted in 2004 and why he almost always relies on a teleprompter; so he can concentrate on delivery, not content. Does he even know how often rote he sounds? Watch him on these day-trip photo ops. He´s a tired actor in a long-running Broadway play, reciting the same lines over and over with less and less conviction. For the summit with China´s new president, America´s first lady didn´t bother to go. [Snip] Turns out, Obama might sound good. But he´s actually an awful communicator.

Conan: The founder of IKEA has stepped down. He said he plans on spending some time putting his life back together. Fallon: A 66-year-old man in China just found out he´s actually a woman. He went his whole life thinking he had a yin, when he had a yang. Leno: Obama’s spying on our phones. How about he spies on the IRS next time it has a $4 million party with our money? Fallon: Russia has a new law banning smoking in public. Smokers not happy. They said, “What is this, Russia?”

Fellow Americans: I’m Congressman Luke Messer from Indiana. It is my honor to speak to you today on behalf of my Republican colleagues. This summer, more than nine million undergraduates will take out a federal student loan. That’s nine million Americans at the start of their journey toward the American Dream. As a young man growing up in a small town in Indiana, I was taught: if you want a great life, get a good education. So I did—but it wasn’t easy.

In the latest black eye for the scandal-ridden State Department, a whistleblower claims she was run out of the foreign service after complaining about a consul general’s alleged office trysts with subordinates and hookers.Kerry Howard says she was bullied, harassed and forced to resign after she exposed US Consul General Donald Moore’s alleged security-threatening shenanigans in the Naples, Italy, office. As the post’s community-liaison officer, Howard was charged with keeping workplace peace and advising higher-ups on the state of morale, but when she revealed allegations about her boss, State Department officials swept it under the rug,

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Gang of Eight member Bob Menendez advised Republicans to accept legalization status for current illegal immigrants if they ever want to see another president from their party. “I would tell my Republican colleagues — both in the House and the Senate — that the road to the White House comes through a road with a pathway to legalization,” the New Jersey senator said on State of the Union this morning. “Without it, there’ll never be a road to the White House for the Republican party.” Menendez also warned of triggers on border security

Politico’s Playbook has an excerpt from a new Ryan Lizza piece from the New Yorker that is not yet online. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least: “There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it. There shouldn’t be a presumption that every American worker is a star performer. There are people who just can’t get it, can’t do it, don’t want to do it. And so you can’t obviously discuss that publicly.” Here is the entire context:
