| Lanny Davis, who served under President Bill Clinton as special counsel to the White House, told Washington, D.C.´s WMAL this morning that the Obama White House had threatened the Washington Times over his column, warning that the Times would suffer limited access to White House officials and might have its White House credentials revoked. Davis, a centrist Democrat, is sometimes critical of the Obama administration´s policies. Davis was speaking with Breitbart News editor Larry O´Connor, who co-hosts a morning show on WMAL. Davis said he had never spoken publicly about the threats before, but they seemed relevant

Comments: I´m thrilled to see all this backlash against this reprehensible White House. I´m just disappointed all this type of behavior wasn´t pointed out before the election because you know it had to have gone on.

My goodness, what do we have here? All those gutless wonders coming out of the closet with how they were threatened? How courageous!

When you´re a ´one trick pony´(in this case thugory) and folks start questioning the ´trick´ well it´s just natural for the pony to rise up on his hindquarters and try to scare the questioners into submission with threats.
It´s the last refuge of the incompetent and the phonies.
Ring the cowbell Baracky and alert the lemmings y´all are under attack.
This is a moment of truth for the so-called 4th estate... will they rally around historical principles of journalism or will they continue running over the cliff whenever the MASTER in the White House says to?

Yes, #5. The Chicago mob has taken over our federal government in Washington, DC.
Al Capone is smiling in his grave. Although he was unable to pull it off, a fellow Chicago mobster--with the help of affirmative action, was.

Lanny Davis is Still a Clinton shill and has one hell of a nerve saying this about the current bunch. I´ m sure it´s true, but being a toady for the former "most ethical administration" which perfected the politics of personal destruction, this little swish is displaying Hillary -like chutzpah.....as a matter of fact, I wouldn´t be a bit surprised if Her Thighness sent him out to say this.

When you deny the White House press corps access to a criticaly important event they rally the troops - even the libs outside the WH press room join in.
Obama should have just let them snap a picture of he and Tiger on the first tee and everything would be ok.

Hopefully, Lanny Davis won´t be the last person to admit being "threatened" by the followers of obama-the-thug-leader-of-all-that-is-corrupt. Bob Woodward said yesterday that he is concerned for the young reporters who are being intimidated by the W.H. and their "officials". As he said, he (Woodward) can take care of himself but reporters just starting out are afraid to cross obama. Good for Woodward. (Never thought I´d say that!) What has happened to this country?

I don´t know if Al Capone hated his country as much as 0bama. Capone was a gangster, yeah. 0bama is a communist Chicago thug. Anyhow, it´s kind of laughable that a pol hack like Lanny Davis would squeal on 0bama. Lanny defended Clinton on so many things including Monica and the blue dress. You know, of course, that there are now two liberal "journalists/commentators" who are questioning/pointing out the flaws of 0bama and are now being threatened by 0bama. "You´ll be sorry" Mr. Woodward. Kinda gives me a couple of guffaws. One of the WH flunkies says Woodward is washed up. The start of "you´ll be sorry"???

You know, I think the above poster has a point. If only O had let them in to take some pics with Tiger, they would have brushed aside all this from Woodward. At the time, I thought.. why are they making such a big deal of this Tiger thing.. we know he´s there and it´s an outrage that he spends money like a drunken sailor, but who cares if we have pictures of it?! Now I can see. they dont like being shut out!
If Woodward hadn´t happened, Davis wouldnt have come forward. I dont give him much credit to tell it now. But, IF it makes a few more take note, we might start to see some movement at least to question some of the lies from this WH.

I am wondering which path the ideological journos will take? They have two faiths you know; one to their profession and the other to their beloved ideology. They can not serve both in these confusing times. Øbama has certainly pushed them past their nerves in their faith to their profession over his outrageous lies on sequestration. But, their ideology screams at them to just shut up and continue to play leftist, Maoist zombies. Now, they face a dire split in the path; which new path they take will define them for their entire future- if they go to the leftist path, they will never recover their credibility. If they take the journo path, they will never be forgiven by their comrades in government, but will forever be admired by a readership with an ever increasing intellect. I suspect they will sacrifice their journalistic future for the limited adulation of the Maoists- Semper Fi.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

America´s 100 million cable and satellite subscribers are forced to pay ever-higher bills for a growing number of channels they do not watch. The American people are being ripped off. Meanwhile, services such as iTunes and Netflix have led a revolution in how consumers purchase and experience music and video entertainment. They have upended entire industries to allow consumers to buy digital content where they want, when they want. Amid all this change, two entrenched interests — the cable television and video programming industries — have teamed up to use federal regulations to stack the deck against consumers.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama is a little uneasy with the way journalists have been dragged into the Justice Department’s aggressive pursuit of national security leak investigations. In fact, he has ordered Attorney General Eric Holder to conduct a 45-day review of the department’s guidelines on the issue. That bit of news was buried in the middle of the president’s hourlong speech today at National Defense University. “Journalists should not be at legal risk for doing their jobs,” President Obama said. “Our focus must be on those who break the law.” And then the news: “I have raised these issues with

Anthony Weiner’s nascent mayoral campaign is off to a rough start. Weiner made his candidacy for mayor of New York official in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, and since then there’s no indication that the process is going particularly well. The former rising star in the Democratic Party can’t shake the scandal that forced him to resign from Congress, and he may be throwing fuel on the fire. Asked this morning whether there was another shoe to drop in the sextweeting scandal that ousted him, Weiner admitted, Well, yeah.

White House press secretary Jay Carney could only explain his problems on Wednesday by telling reporters, "[T]here are a lot of you, and you´re good at your jobs and you´re smart." As easy as it might be for Carney to lob such insincere praise at former journalistic colleagues, such posterior osculations must be embarrassing for a White House so accustomed to having the press in its back pocket. Carney´s job has become more difficult in the past two weeks. Where his explanations were accepted at face value in the past, he is now met with deep skepticism. Suddenly, the

WASHINGTON – First she refused to testify. Now Lois Lerner, the IRS official at the center of the agency scandal, is refusing to resign, according to a top Republican senator. Sources confirmed to Fox News earlier Thursday that Lerner, the head of the IRS division that oversaw the unit targeting conservative groups, had been placed on administrative leave, with pay. But Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, claimed she was only put in that status after refusing to step down. He said the commissioner was in his right to demand her resignation, and said taxpayers

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
